Waste Management Centre

We went to the Waste Management Centre for a field trip.  The Big HAM gave us a camera to take pictures.  I saw a lot of garbage.  In that one room there was a lot of garbage and the leader said all that garbage in that room is in one day or a half a day.  

I saw two people taking out recyclable things from the conveyor belt.  I saw lot of things like a bed and a lot of microwaves.  

Then we went in a building and we went in a room.  It was a theater and a big screen.

Circle Time - Health

In our Health unit we have talked about being healthy and body images. It actually doesn’t matter what others think about you. It only matters what you think about your self. Boys don’t really think about what they look like or

what they wear. Well some of them do but it doesn’t matter that much.

I care what I  wear and what  I look like. And all of the girls do. The people

on the magasins are pretty because the  photographs are made using photoshop.

We  have been talking about smoking. I think that  if some one

offered me a cigarette I would  say no if you want to be my friend don’t

ever ask me that again got that. Or I don’t want to have yellow teeth. If you do I am fine with that.

Niagara-on-the-Lake & Summer Vacation

My dad was born in St. Catharines, Ontario but he grew up in the small little town of Niagara on the Lake or NoTL for short on a fruit farm with lots of cherry, apple, peach and pear trees.  Dad had to work on the farm with my aunts and uncles.  He loved it.  He misses it too.

Niagara on the Lake used to be called Newark.  My dad said Fort George is in Niagara-on-the-Lake where the War of 1812 took place between the British and the United States.  Niagara-on-the-Lake has lots of old stores and hotels that are over 150 years old.

We might be going there in the summer to visit my aunts and uncles.  I can’t wait.

Video Games - Minecraft

I think video games are awesome.  My favorite game is Minecraft. It's a game where you create a world. Along the way you start with wood tools, then stone, iron and finally diamond tools that you use to mine in caves.  You also have armor to protect against mobs which are the creeper, the skeleton, the endermen, the wither, the ghast, the wither skeleton, the cave spider, the spider jockey and the spider.  Basically you try to build a world with a nice house and friends can join your game and play in your world.

I like Minecraft so much cause you can build anything and explore. When you are in creative mode, you can fly and you have unlimited resources. You can spawn in any mob with spawn eggs and you can blow stuff up with TNT.

My second favorite part of Minecraft is enchanting. That is when you upgrade your tools and armor. You can only enchant tools and armor. Let me tell you about some of the enchantment that can go on the armors. Lets start with the helmet.  The best enchantments are respiration and aquafinity. This makes it so you can breath underwater which you normally can't. The chest plate has the most awesome enchantments. It has fire protection IV which makes it so you can swim in lava. And finally the boots. They are my third favorite enchanting item other than the tools. My favorite enchantment for boots is feather falling III. This makes it so you take less fall damage when you jump off of something like a roof.

A couple of the tools that can be enchanted are the pick axe and sword. My favorite enchantments for the pick axe are unbreaking, efficiency, fortune and silk touch. All those enchantments make the best pick axe ever. It's super strong when you mine diamonds or coal you have a chance of getting more than one from one ore. My favorite for the sword are fire aspect, knock back, looting and power. All of these make it a one hit kill for the mob and they drop two items instead of just one.
