Ripley's Believe It or Not

I like Ripley’s Believe It or Not because it has a lot of weird facts about people who cheated death and have really odd diets like eating bugs and glass.  I think that’s weird because people don’t normally do these types of things.  Don’t tell me that isn’t weird because if you don’t think that is weird, then I think it’s a little strange.  Another reason I like Ripley’s is because their pictures are so graphic.

The weirdest fact I think is the craziest is this guy who plays a piano ON FIRE!I I think all of the people do it on purpose because they’re crazy.

I also like Guinness World Records. My favourite record is the biggest bag of popcorn EVER.  It was really tall so tall they needed to use one of those electrical cranes.

Tell me the craziest fact that you’ve read on Ripley’s Believe It or Not.  If you haven’t read these books, tell me the strangest facts you’ve seen or heard.

  1. I hate Ripley's Believe It Or Not. I think it is just dumb and pointless. Why can't you just be normal? I think it is pointless but a lot of people like it but it is so dumb. It's just a bunch of random people doing random stuff. It doesn't impress me at all.

I do not like any fact's on any book it is just gahh. It is just they bore me to death
with all their fact's. Who needs to know that kind of stuff?

I would like to see everyone not reading the Guinness World Records OR Ripley's Believe It Or Not for their whole life. Instead, people should be reading chapter books such as Captain Underpants or 39 Clues.

    Bye bye.

  2. I have Ripley's Believe IT OR NOT but I forgot the weirdest fact I saw. It is not my favourite book at all.

The werdest fact that I've heard is the dinosaurs didn't come first.

Eating two jars of pickles in a row would be a world record for me.

  3. I like the Ripley's Believe It or not books so much. They're so weird. I know one where these guys are SKY DIVING while playing CHECKERS. That's insane!!! And they were playing it so calm. This is not the wired fact at all. There was this boy who was like a lobster it was really weird it haunts my dreams.

I would like to see how many crabs you can eat 100 crabs in 10 minutes. That may seem dumb and it is.

  4. I have a book at home that is part of the Ripley's Believe It Or Not series. I also have a book about The Guinness Book Of World Records.

My favourite fact in the Believe It Or Not book is probably Extreme Scrabble. People play Scrabble with lions watching them, on a cliff with a river below them and even playing Scrabble when sky diving! It sounds really crazy. I don't think I ever want to go sky diving, but I really want to bungee jumping.

Probably the strangest thing I ever saw, but also amazing, it was on a TV show on the Discovery channel. The show was called Gold Rush. Some people were mining in a jungle and they met a person who was mining in the jungle for about 20 years! Anyway, when he was mining, he found a very small diamond! I have no idea how much money a tiny diamond would give you, but I think it is alot.

I would like to find somebody in my family get a world record for pogo sticking. Also maybe a family friend. My record for pogo sticking is 490. I think my brother's record is 900 something. And a family friends son got 1157 bounces. I am not trying to brag.

  5. When school started I saw Ripleys Believe It or Not where these people were sky diving AND playing scrabble. Weird but it`s actually a really cool book. One time this guy fit an elophint in a elavator. I got shocked when I heard of it I was laughing it was so funny.

You should buy it. I don't know how much it costs but it`s really good. I love this book but now everyone takes it and now I don't have a chance to read it. It`s so so so sad. I wish I can find out where I can buy them. If I find where it is then I can buy it.

I love RipLeys Believe It or Not. I asked my mom if she knows where RiPLeys Believe It or Not she said no never heard of it sorry kiddo.

Do you like Ripleys Believe It or Not if not then what book do you like?

  7. I have read every Guinness Book of World Records since 2008 and am about to read the 2014 gamers addition. I like Guinnuss Book of World Records the favorite because there was a record when a skateboarder did the most 360's in one jump. The record was 4 full rotation's which is a 1440. I have seen a record for most books read in a day. The record is five hundred eleven books read by two people. Also I have tried the book record and failed misreble. I got ten by my self.

  10. I read Guinness World Records and Ripley's Believe it or Not. My favourite one in Ripley's Beilieve It or Not is the two people sky diving and playing Scrabble at the same time. It looks so cool because no one can do that except them. If some one tries to do that the Scrabble chip will just fly up in the air. I like all the other ones but I don't know all the names where they are.

  11. I have read Ripley`s Believe It Or Not and Guinness Book Of World Records. My favourite book is Guinness World Records because the it has multiple books. In the 2012 book it has what makes the inner core with the periodic table items! The book also has the sizes of the oceans in water droplets. It also has the biggest whoopie coushon, it takes four people to make it fart.

The strangest fact I read is that someone can eat ANYTHING! The coolest fact I have read is that someone made a giant rubber band ball. I do not know how much time it took for the rubber band ball. The guy who ate glass and everything got it when he broke a wine glass and ate the glass.

I would like to see the worlds largest lego ball! I would like that because It would be awesome!

  12. I read Ripley Believe It or Not. It is my favourite because it has strange and cool stuff. I like it better then Guinness World Records because it doesn't have that many facts. I like Ripley Believe It or Not because it is so weird. It is my favourite because it is interesting and I like it.

The fact I seen was spiders on his face. There was so many different spiders in his mouth. It was skairey I couldn't even look at it that how skairey that was. I thot it would bite him but they didn't do it so I was so happy. That was so crazy why would he do that I would not do that.

I would like to see the smallest man you ever seen.

  19. Thanks for the interesting post, monkeyman. I haven't read either the Guinness Book of World Records or the Ripley's Believe It Or Not books in a long time, so I don't have a favourite series.

Did you know that world records began because people couldn't agree on things? I think the Guinness Book of World Records was the first official record of the tallest, longest, shortest, fattest, most . . . . In the 1800s the Guinness Brewing Company was concerned that people were getting into fights over who was the record holder for various accomplishments, so they hired people to travel around and decide who had the record for, well, pretty much anything you wanted to try and make into a record. The Guinness employees then wrote down their findings which were published in a book that was available for arguing people to consult. Since then it has grown into a world-wide contest with more bizarre records being added every year.

My favourite record is the one for the largest snowman. They used tires for buttons and skis for eyelashes. The snowman was about 200 feet high, if I remember correctly.
