Valentine's Day is coming soon in February. It is on February 14. I love Valentine’s Day! It is usually about love and gifts.
On Valentine’s Day it is customary to hand out cards to friends and classmates and/or family. I hand out cards to everybody in my class even if I do not like them. I give to everybody because it is being respectful. I hope to hand out puppy cards this year but I have not bought them yet.
Valentine’s Day is very amazing because you get chocolate, cards and other things like that. I hope this year I get lots of chocolate. Sometimes people bring pencils and sometimes gift bags. I hope maybe this year I get to bring cupcakes or some cake or candy. It’s nice when people give little toys like yo-yos.
I hope the Student Council does candy grams again. These are small packages of assorted candies that you can send to friends or even someone you like. You can do it anonymously and keep it a secret.
What are your thoughts on Valentine’s Day? If Student Council is selling candy grams this year, are you doing to give one away? Should Room 14 have a party to celebrate?

I think Valentine's Day is over saturated. Not that I don't like it, it's a good holiday but people take too much time for it. Yes, I celebrate it. I just don't base my whole day on it. Like some people take the day off just so they can sleep in and have fun. Like it is Christmas or something.
ReplyDeleteYes I like to hand out to everyone but I don' like to when there is a big class because there is so many cards to sign. I don't normally get to give candy, just a card but a card is good too. Yes most people get a card but sometimes I forget though.
I don't think that you can convince the Big Ham to celebrate and she is the teacher. You can be upset but you have to listen to the teacher. It would be fun to celebrate.

I don't like Valentine's Day at school as much as I like it at home because I just think it's funner at home.
ReplyDeleteI think that every one should get at least a card for a once a year time, and if you give certain people a card the others might think they're not your friend.
As for the classroom party, I would say it could be a reward, so if we do good on tests or our blue sheet and bring it back in time, we could have a Valentine's party.

I don't like Valentine's Day because I think it's a waste of time for a day and I hate romance! I never like when I was like 6 years old and I will never like it and try to look at it. If it's romance I never look at it. I would look away and look if it's over or change channels and I really don't like that Baby Cupid that shoot people with bows and arrows.
ReplyDeleteI hate handing out cards because I always have to help to prepare the cards and I'm lazy and I have to think of romantic words so they are happy. Everyone should get cards because your mom makes you give out to everybody even to the people who you hate.
Maybe give the Big Ham cards and chocolate every day, don't harass her and she'll give us a party.

My thoughts on Valentines Day is that I think it is okay. It's okay because of the chocolate and cards and other candy. But I think it's okay because I don't love much people other than my Mom, Dad,my older brother and my older sister.
ReplyDeleteI don't care if I hate them or enjoy their comfort,I still think it's a good idea that I give everyone at least one card. I did it at my old school and I didn't DIE because of it so I don't see the problem.
I don't think I have to convince THE BIG HAM to throw a party because I'm pretty sure that people are going to give out candy and cards anyway. But if I had to convince her,I'dd try to ask in the nicest way possible. Not sure if I'll succeed though.

I think I don't like Valentine's Day because we don't really celebrate it. Me and my family don't like Valentine's Day.

I think that Valentine's Day is my favourite holiday because it is the month that my birthday is in and my birthday is close to Valentine's Day.
ReplyDeleteValentine's Day is one of the holidays that my family doesn't celebrate because it is not part of our culture but we send candy to India so that they could have the experience of Valentine's Day.
I don't really like handing out Valentine's Day cards because sometimes my legs get sore and I have to walk all around the class room. I think we should give cards to everyone.
I would convince the The Big Ham to not tell her to give us a party.

I don't really like Valentine's Day because we have to go to school. The only thing I like on Valentine's is the candy and sometimes people bring cupcakes or cake.
ReplyDeleteI do not like handing cards to everyone, even giving cards to people I hate. What I do is either give a card to the person I hate or bring no cards at all or I can give everybody one but not the person I hate. Then I will just say I must have dropped it when I was walking here.
I don't care if the Big Ham doesn't have a party or anything.
All I want is the candy then I go home and eat all of it.

I love Valentine's Day because Valentine's Day is giving a cards for someone that you want to give some cards,and giving some flowerss to your mom and your teacher. You can give some candy's or chocolate's in your friends or your classmates.

Everyone receives a card because everyone have a work to help you and to help any people when they need some help so you can give any people to thank to their help. Give her a card and a chocolate so she can celebrate the Valentine's Day.

I can't convince The Big Ham to celebrate Valentine's Day. I won't be disappointed if she doesn't throw a party because I can always throw a party at my house or a friend's house.

I think Valentine's Day is not fun. The only good part about Valentine's Day is the food. I would like a normal day more than Valentine's day.
ReplyDeleteI do not like going to the store for Valentine's cards. I think you should give cards only to your friends. Because other kids you could not like. Plus I don't want to hand out cards. We don't all need cards.
I would say celebrating Valentine's Day is important.
