Is it just me or do presents under the Christmas tree with your name in them really bother you? Its not bad that there are presents with your name on them. It just bothers me that there are so many wrapped presents sitting there undisturbed. What is really annoying is the fact that my parents wont even give me a hint on what my presents are. I know I probably sound really greedy but I hate surprises. Oh and it is really annoying when my parents put my presents under the tree because after they are under the tree my mom and dad will not stop talking about how much I will love it. Also they wrap them so tightly I cant shake it to give me a hint. I always ask them to tell me what it is I will love but they never budge … ever. Do your parents?
Another bad thing about not knowing what you are getting is that it puts a little bit of pressure on you for their gift. The main ideas for my mom is either bubble bath, bath salts or something that smells like lavender. For my dad it is either socks, a shirt, a hat or a scarf. So tell me in the comments if you like a surprise for a Christmas present or some say in a Christmas present oh, and tell me if your parents talk about your Christmas presents so much you go crazy until Christmas.

No it is all of us who is bothered by presents under the Christmas tree with our name on it.My family does tease me about me. One year I might just go downstairs in the middle of the night and open the biggest one there is and then wrap it back up again.

I disagree.
ReplyDeleteIf you know what you're getting for Christmas then for example you get this really cool video game and your parents told you.
Then you'll be freaking out that you don't get to play with it until Christmas.
That's why I don't want to know what I got for Christmas.

I agree with you, Rainbow Cotton Candy! I hate it when you(as a general suggestion) see a big present under the tree and you ask and ask and ask and your parents don't tell you what it is!(grandparents too!!) Like last year(or the year before) I got my guitar and I asked only a few times(Still!) and they never told me what it was.

It's the most wonderful time of the year!!! :)
ReplyDeleteMy parents drive me up the WALL when they do that! Just yesterday, my parents put a whole BUNCH of presents under the tree. When my brother and I went downstairs, his eyes grew. In my mind, I'm like DO. NOT. OPEN. But it's just so darn tempting!
And they NEVER, EVER give me hints. I ask and ask but they always tell me to leave them alone.
But the main reason I think they do it is to keep us on our best behavior... sneaky. :)
My point has been proven! :) Oh, and also... Merry Christmas (and a Happy New Year! :) )

It bothers me SO much having to see the presents in the living room when I'm watching T.V. or something like that. I ask my mom ALL the time to open a present but she'll say "If you ask me one more time today I'll ground you"! I remember in grade 1 or 2 I was so annoyed at looking at all my presents so I took one to my room and opened it, my mom noticed that I took it but she didn't bother getting mad at me.

I am sad to tell that I NEVER GET A PRESENT FOR CHRISTMAS but it is sometimes really annoying when you are not allowed to open your presents until Christmas. I get some dress on Christmas but NOT UNTIL CHRISTMAS AND THAT IS ANNOYING and makes us crazy when they they talk about that.

I agree, because you can't wait to open it,its fine if your parents didn't show it to you.My mom is not showing me my present because if she did i keep bugging her if i can't open it,she just give my present on christmas.

I agree so much! It makes me so anxious and I hate it because I just want to rip them open and use them. It really sucks!!!!
ReplyDeleteAnd I always worry about Christmas money! 'Cause I usually have to save up all my money. I got my mom three presents, I got my dad two things and my sister only one. But I am good at picking out presents for friends and family and they always love it.
But one thing I can not help (I know this is bad but sometimes I can not help it) is peeking! Just pealing a little corner.

So i it annoys why don you just do what mme. carfantan said in french class. Cut look and re wrape it!!!! I have never done it before but all of my famley just tells me what the other person gets me. Like my one sister Jessica tells me what my other sister Candice gets me!! And my parents do bug me about how much i will LOVE IT. And what i would love for Christmas is A TURTLE BEACH MICROPHONE FOR THE XBOX 360
ReplyDeleteI agree with this I always want to open all the presents under the tree but can't. Why can't they just wait to put them under the tree on christmas eve or something .(Of course Santa comes later). Here's why If they don't put any presents out I get super paranoid and bother them about it. Another thing is that I would probably sneak a look "cough cough" fraqu attack(Oh I know everything).
ReplyDeleteMy parents don't put the presents under the tree until Christmas eve. but I always find them in the same spot every year(they need tips from the Easter bunny). We usually have guests over and they put there presents under the tree early. I don't mind it that much though.

At the risk of sounding like a typical "mom", seems to me some need to be more grateful for the fact they have presents under their tree; and enjoy the guessing. It's much more fun to be totally surprised on Christmas morning. Take this from a previous "present peeker" in my younger days.

I have to say that sometimes it does bother me not knowing my presents before Chistmas. But I feel way more comfortible opening it on Chistmas day. I mean opening my presentsmas on Christmas eve or any other day, to me it just won't feel like Chistmas and I won't get in to the Chistmas spirit at all. Not being in the Chistmas spirit feeling does not feel good at all. Chistmas spirit is an awesome feeling so I hope you had amerry merry Chistmas and a Happy New Year.

My best Christmas present was to spend $100 at Costco and I got a toy that was $50 which I don't know and another toy that cost about $40. Then I got a lot of candy and saw tears of joy running down my cheeks. I thanked my amazing, nice, kind dad and my mom.......I don't need to thank her. PHEW! No NoNoNoNO!
ReplyDeleteMy New Years resolution is to find the key and important in a serman. Then in school is to improve in my handwriting. Inside my house, I am supposed to put my family first. That is my new years resoution.
