A few days ago we did something called animation day where we made our own mini movie. We had to make every thing out of paper. Our movie was about some kid named Jared that was failing school and would pass if he could answer 2+2=4.
On the first day we had it all planned out but on the filming day we added about 6 new scenes. One of the scenes we added was the part where Jared’s mom got tackled by Jared.
I didn’t do much but it was still fun to do with my friends. I was going to be the dog but my part got cut out. The group I was in was good. Making the backgrounds was fun even though all of it did not show.
One place where we messed up was when Jared’s friend climbed through the window. Half way through when the guy is falling through the window if you look really close you see a arm on the peace poster not connected to a body. I am not sure if we deleted that.
My favourite part was when we did the voices for the characters. One of the boys in our group did not show up but we still did great with out them. I wish I could do this next year.

ReplyDeleteI totally agree that we should do this next year. It is kind of, well actually it is REALLY annoying that all this fun is only for this year. I would be totally okay with the whole one timing thing, but I do not have one of those cameras they let us use.
My favourite part was when we saw the final project. I know that does not count as a favourite ACTIVITY, but it was still my favourite part. My favourite activity was probably moving the characters.

DeleteI agree with you that the best part of the animation day is when you record the voices with Glen in the teachers conference room. That's the first time that I've ever go inside the office but it's kind of boring when you just moving the characters and taking pictures.

That was the happiest day ever and we had a lot of fun. We were all girly that day because our title was "The Journey to the Cookie Castle" and this is the girly thing ever AND THERE WERE ONLY GIRLS in the whole animation thing. The person who came to help us was good. His name was Glen. He helped us in many ways. He took us to the conference room where there was absolute silence and we could talk clearly and it was fun. I wish we can do it next year too.

ReplyDeleteThe only thing I didn't like, was when we were doing the moving of the characters. Near the end of the day when we were done with all of the moving and the talking of the characters,we edited the movie. We got to make cool backgrounds for the beginning and end of it.We also put in our own music throughout the whole thing. All of our movies looked really awesome. Just the way it looked when the characters "moved" across the page.

I enjoyed doing the animation. I like watching them afterwords the best. My group was doing a cartoon called Math Chronicles. I really did think that the animation was the hardest part. I think that this was part of art and Language arts.

But my favorite part was when Jared and Matty walked in the school and saw a kid on the ground bleeding from getting hit in the face and than an Xbox-360 controller.

First of all the animation day was so lame for me because all my partners couldn't decide on any ting until the end and the worst thing about it the where all girls with thair little fights lasting four like on day. Girls are annoying when they fight and they wasted my whole experience so that is what I thing about the animation and I am exited to read what other kids think.

I actually had a little fun too on the animation day but I had to go on lunch time wich sucked because it would've been fun to finish it with Kyle and them ;c. Also the part I liked the most was when we made the guys because I was having fun making an awesome guy for my self which took me like 3 minutes oh well. (._____.)

I was one that was in falcons group. Like falcon said, there were some weird and unexpected scenes like when Jhared wast tackling his mom Mr. saint boss was moving the characters was slowly moving Jhared toward his mom and about half way through we knew what he was doing.Making it was a lot of fun. At first we couldn't figure out how to make the music shorter or longer. But at the last minute I figured out that a little arrow will let you stretch the music or make it shorter.

Hello, this me coming in for my weekly... you know what, I'm not going to ease this in, mine was the best. My team also had the most original idea, we had the best character selection, and had the best PLOT.

my groups animation was called " Journey to the Center of the Cookie Castle” it was about 2 girls waking up to find that they are in a place called “sugar land” And they have to save the cupcake queen in the evil cookie queens dungeon.

I LOVED animation day. I would say that it was the best day of the year...........or was it?

Of course it was all girls and we did a mini show called Journey To The Cookie Castle. It was about two girls who were very bored and then heard a noise in the closet, so they went to the closet and opened it.
All of the sudden everything went black and they ended up in Sugar land!Then Charlotte and then the fairy queen came down and said "Hello, Welcome to Sugar land, you came just in time the cookie queen has stolen my sister Ella and you need to save her! Charlotte will lead you the way, good luck!" and then flew away.Then that's when they started their journey.
I was Claire (one of the girls who go on the adventure) Rainbow cottincany was loise (also one of the girls who go on the journey) purple Unicorn as Ella who got trapped,Purple bunny as Charlotte the Unicorn, pink giant as the fairy queen and purple cow as the Evil cookie queen.

I had a lot of fun doing this. Ours was about Cows v.s. Aliens. (Can you guess what it was called? Please reply!) Crazy Cow was my part. I had so much fun making it! We did fight though. That was not my favorite part. My favorite part was making the characters.

ReplyDeleteWe enjoyed doing the animation day too. It was fascinating to watch the paper drawings come to life! The other piece I enjoyed was seeing the different ideas of the different groups. One group had Spartacus chasing Medusa and another group had Spongebob go to the moon. Very different ideas, but both interesting and fun to watch.
I'm glad your group had so much fun.
On animation day I had a spectacular time especialy the filming and editing and also the planing out our story line. Our animation film was called The Great Chase and knowing the name you can probably know about wht our movie/film was about. If you have not figured it out it was the great chase around the world starting in the Uninted States of America though India and the last country is China. I know it is not really a chase around the world it is more like the great chase to a different continent. We would have more continents but due to the time situation we could not fit it in.
ReplyDeleteIn our film we were going to have more comedy like in Australia there was going to be a robber pop out of a kangaroo pouch and then go back. We were going to have funny actions in our movie/film but we could not becuase we did not have a not time.

On animation day, I had so much fun. Our group did very good in my opinion. We had me, zombie and small iahk and willywonka and last of all, little fearless monkey. Our tittle was The Chase Around the World! We also did the job on a mac. Mac are amazing like me.

I think we did that but I am not sure. But if we did it would be pigs by Robert munch. I was the pig eating the local news paper and believe me it was pretty funny. I laphed so hard and I couldn't talk because it was so funny. I remember me and my best friend where partners to edit the sound on the movie. I remember you could put music or noises or even a song from the radio. And there was this one thing called fix red eye. So me and my friend kept on pressing it and I think we pressed it so much that everyone's eye's terned purple. LOL. I hope we do that again
