D.E.A.R. is a time where we read. I think that we should not have to read. I used to like reading, but now I hate it. It wasn’t long ago when I read Holes. Every night I would read almost two hours. I thought that was a good book so I decided to read it. Now I can’t find another book that I like. When I have to comment on a blog post I never read it. I usually just look at the title and then I comment on it. I am not one of those people who read. I read stuff that seems interesting or I read a website that has cheats for a game.
I don’t like to read because I can’t find any books that I read and I am now hooked to video games.
I want to know if you like reading or if you don’t like reading??

I think the same thing too but I usually just stick to one book because it has like numbers of books and all that. So yeah that's why I kinda like books and kinda dont like them too. :L

I do and do not like reading because of the book. I am kind of like you in THAT WAY. Most of the time I am on my computer I will admit, but I still read for like, at least an hour a night.

I'm not the kind of person that likes to read either. But if I am really into a book, I could read the whole thing in a couple of days because I was into it so much! Honestly, my favourite author is Robert Munsch because sometimes his books are really funny. But my favourite book though, is the last Harry Potter book in the series.

I don’t like dear because it is 15 minutes of reading. the reason why I don’t like it is because it is a waste of time .We have 15 minutes to do something else then reading like homework like art,math,science,social and other things like that. to me it is a waste of time.I am waiting to read what other kids think.

I also think books are so cool! like if you are bored and you have nothing to do, you can just pull out a book and read. So than a book is your best friend. Also I don't think you have ever liked reading, but that is just my opinion.

I just like reading when I like the book that I am reading.Dear is like a free time but your not allowed to talk but you can do something quiet.Your right video games is better than books because in video games is exciting and you can do quests but in books your just reading the story that in the book.

I think you are out of your minds and stop saying you hate books(I am not kidding). Books are awesome. Books are the only thing that can show what your imagination is and again OMG why would you play video games instead of reading.I am happy that there is something called D.E.A.R and I love it and repeating what I said do not say that you hate books.Start reading books that you are not used to and you will start liking them.

I also used to read also, but now I never read! I now just look at the page and stare at it. I liked the book Holes, I read it last year with the class like we did so it was really easy to answer all the questions and "predict" everything that happened.

then I picked up: The Lost Hero. A quarter of the way through it
I realized that it had something to do with Percy Jackson.

ReplyDeletePersonally, I really like to read. I like to read all kinds of books. So when D.E.A.R comes around, don't care. I just read! Books are also a good way to become a good speller. Usually, I read an hour or more in one night.
I hope most people choose books over video games, but I highly doubt it! SO SAD!!!!! D:

D.E.A.R. (drop everything and read) is the worst thing to do in school unless, I have a good book to read. Normally, I get a new book every time I go to the school library (every Monday unless we don't have school). I do like to play video games in the morning so I try to read so time passes faster. (I do that because my mom says I have to read for 20 minutes because that is our reading time for homework every day.

I also really hate reading too. My parents think I like reading [o.k. I like it a bit] but I do it for the prizes mostly. Most books I like, but anything with romance or a princess I hate. Bad.

The book I'm reading is is about a boy(Rayan) who goes to the dredge in the middle of the woods with his friend Sara.
when they go when they go in,Rayan finds that the top of the dredge there are some big gears. he goes to the big gears to see if they still work, but then he hears a noise in the corner of the room. he looks over and see's a white hand and a dim outline of a body, it keeps on comeing closer and closer, untell they were nose to nose.
but Rayan doesnt move or go any were cause he was to scared. All of the sudden the man said
" number 40 is mine. Stay away from beneath the wide brim of a workman's hat. number 40 is mine. Stay away from this place. I'm watching you." Then all of the sudden Rayan screems and faals down behind the rim behind and shattered his leg.
And his parents said that he is not alowd to hand out with sara agian, because they think that Sara gets him into alot of truoble, wich is true. They are not alowed to email, talk on the phone or anything like that!
And if they catch him emailing her they said that if they have to they wiil move to a city and he will NEVER get to see Sara again! Soooooo what do you think of this book? I know I'm obsessed with it!

I LOOOOVVVEEE to read!!! I read every thing. I think one of my favorite books I read was a book called "The Forest of Hands and Teeth". It is a young adult book and about a place where every where is covered in zombies. But they don’t call them zombies though and they fenced off a small place to ward off the zombies and it is a very religious community.

I’m taking up all her space for her books too! But I just bought a new book called “the boy project” and I read it in just 2 days. So I think one of my passions is to read.

Now that Harry Potter is over.....I love Percy Jackson. I once had a riptide pencil but I lend it to purplebunny and she lost it. It also had all my 0.7 led supply in it. I am very very sad that the pencil is gone.
ReplyDeleteAnyways I'm also keeping up with the Pendragon and Diary Of The Wimpy kid series. On Pendragon I have to read Pendragon Before The War Book Three Of The Travelers. It sounds kind of lame but it is really intense and the intensity is to the max. I totally recommend Pendragon.
