I sometimes have trouble when it comes to homework. Like sometimes when I have to wright something long in French. I also find that I get distracted easily. For example, when I was writing this very blog post, I got distracted when I started to play with the folders on this computer. Why do I have trouble? Well, one of the reasons is because I feel like I have so many things I need to do. I just feel like I either NEED to play on the laptop, or do other homework like spelling. Although, some homework that I do I don’t have trouble with is like math, studying, and spelling. The reason I get distracted is because I start to think about other things and then I forget about what I was doing. One of the things I do to get back on track is I remember what I am supposed to do and get back to it or someone reminds me.
What do you do to not get distracted when you do homework?

Well when I get distracted when I'm doing homework I usually just say "I'll do my homework tonight right before I go to sleep"! Then when I'm about to go to bed I either do my homework really fast or I'll say "I'll do it in the morning"!!! So there you go I honestly don't really have a motivation!

I do not have something that motivates me. I too have trouble when it comes to homework. I usually wait until recess comes to do my homework. I really am not good at Science, Social,Art and Language arts. The only thing that I am good at is Math and French.

Dude you're not alone. I have alot of trouble too because it's so hard. Man it really sucks and also I get easily distracted because my friends sometimes come up to me and start talking to me when I'm working it's like come on guy's get out of here I'm tryin to do my homework.

I don't have problems doing homwork. It's just the studying. When ever I go home I say to myself "I need to study for the test coming up", then I get my book I study for 20 min and I get bored and then I say maybe I should take a shower first. Then I take a shower and I forget but if I don't I just say I'll read it befor bed!!!!!!

ReplyDeleteI am consistantly getting distracted when I have to do homework. I will start to do my homework and I will be on a roll but then the t.v turns on and, I am GONE. The only thing that keeps me going is when my mom is all like if you dont finish this you will be in SO MUCH TROUBLE!!!
If I really need to keep on track and my mom is not there, I just tell myself to keep focused and dont look up!! ( at the t.v )

SAME HERE! I get distracted just by looking at the floor, than I start to go bug eyed & my eyes start to go cross eyed. Next my eyes get dry and I sometimes have to put drops in my eyes. Than let them sit so the liquid can start going around my eyes.

To me really homework is a waste of my time and my free time. Moste of the time it's a piece of paper with a couply questions that waste of time. Most of time you can't ask your parents for help because with the the new system.

I get distracted extremely easily. Like, I find that if anything walks past me, I get distracted(except for when I'm reading a good book!!).When I'm trying to do homework on the computer, I almost always end up playing on www.kizi.com, or www.miniclip.com, or www.girlsgogames.com. I find it EXTREMELY annoying. Especially when my little sister walks by with the cat.

I don't know sometimes I get distracted but most of the time I just get it done because if I get it done wen I get home I can play on my XBOX and go on the computer its the same with all my chores if I don't get them done I cant do what I want to do.

ReplyDeleteSometimes when I have homework, I don't always get it done right when I get home. I usually save it for around 8:00pm,and at night it doesn't get finished until 8:30. It doesn't matter to me because I don't go to bed until 10:00 so it really wouldn't matter to me.
I usually don't even get that much homework because I get it done in class. But when I get homework, it is usually math because I have like 1 or 2 more pages of work.

I got distracted easily when I was in the first division. Everything came to mind like the microvewave on or the stove being on or a bird chirping or somthing else came to mind. Sometimes I will forget my home work at school or didn't get to finish or I had to stay little later then my bed time. Either I'm lucky or something, is that I have never got in trouble or the homework isn't do untill the next day.
ReplyDeleteBut the way I don't get distracted is that I sit in an empty room with no window, microwave, television, fridge or any kind of distactions or something. My motivation is TO GET IT DONE AND NOT GET IN TROUBLE AT ANY COST and I have to say that my motivation really helps to get the job finished.

My "homework" is marking your tests and assignments and as you already know, it's not something I enjoy that much. So, in order to return those back to you as quickly as I can, I set teeny, tiny goals for myself. For example, if I mark page one of everybody's test, then I can surf on the Internet for 15 minutes. This strategy is what I used last night to mark the G5 Chemistry test and it worked. The marking took less time than I thought it would and my promise that I would return the tests within a week was fulfilled.

1. Not having to owe my students "something" if I don't return assignments back on time. I found out last year that this punishment was VERY expensive; and more importantly,
2. The internal satisfaction I get when I accomplish something that I thought was difficult, which really wasn't when I actually put my mind and some effort into it.

I usually don't get distracted when I'm doing homework, unless the T.V. is on. So that is why I always get it done!
ReplyDeleteAnd anyways, there is no excuse that you shouldn't get your homework done. Yes, if you are busy with a soccer practice, or doing something with your family then okay. But if you didn't get it done because you were playing video games, don't complain when you get in trouble...

I am the same with purple unicorn,I don't get distracted unless someone is talking or has the t.v. on. I agree again because if you get distracted that easy, you should be in a room that has nothing to distract you.

I don’t like homework for one reason it means work. When I go home I want to relax I have been in school for like 6 hours and I want to sit back and play games or watch TV or hang out with friends. Homework is depressing because I NEED to do it. It is also a pain when you forget to bring your homework from school or forget to do it at home. But I only get home work with math but it is still hard because that is my 2nt worst subjected. I am exited to read what other kids type on forest14

I always get distracted easily because I'm easily distracted. There is no way that I won't get distracted because that there's always something happening at my house...like my sister will scream for no reason, well there is a reason ..she saw a something that awesome ...(to her). I try locking my self in a room and work...but I'll find something that well distract me !! Like in my room...there is an x-box! In the computer room ...well you know (if you don't know....it's the computer). And the wash room...I'll just be like "I'll do it after I take a crap" and than I finish I forget. Soooooo there u have it !!! There is no Way that I can do my home work with out getting distracted!! that's why I do it at the last minute so I know I'll get in deep dodo if I don't finish it!! Or I can do it at school!!

ReplyDeleteThe thing is that I don't get homework sooooo...... If I do I would go straight to my room turn on the most hiddous music(Justin Bieber..YUCK)and do my work. The reason way is I think to myself is that if the sooner I finish the faster I can turn off the hiddous music an I can relax.....
