This week I got chosen to do a blog post. I COULD NOT think of anything, but on Tuesday March 19th I was petting my dog Duff and thought, why not do a blog about him? So here it goes. My dog Duff is a Golden Retriever cross, He weighs about 98 pounds. He has a huge smile. The most unique feature about him is his paws. My dog has what we like to call `` Doctor Suess feet``. What I mean is, he has four-inch puffs of fur between his toes just like the Grinch. The difference between the Grinch and Duff is that Duff is the cutest (in MY opinion) dog in the whole world. One time my friend was over and when she walked in the house she had a huge fear of dogs, but when she left- she loved dogs!!!!
So, when you see Duff when he is tired you think awwwww, how ADORIBLE!!! But when you see him play. Lets just say that we have bought many band-aids because of him. Another annoying/funny thing about Duff is that whenever my mom sends him in my room to wake me up, he just gets on the bed and sits right on top of ME.

ReplyDeleteI have a siamese fighting fish named Calcifer who hates the colour red. Every time he sees anything red he blows a bunch of bubbles at the top of his tank as a way of protecting himself. He also freaks out whenever I put a mirror in front of his tank, he thinks his reflection is another fish!

ReplyDeleteMy pet is Isaac lol! No seriously, I had a dog named angel (already had the name when we got her from the SPCA) and she was such a sweet dog. She had only 2 fatal fleas. Oops I mean flaws! The first of these flaws was her farts. They were silent and so nasty that I can almost still smell them today. Her other challenge was learning to walk...at a normal speed so that we weren't being pulled a million miles an hour every time we took her for a walk. What a workout that was!

ReplyDeleteI had 2 fire-belly newts. I thought they were pretty cool until one of them ate the other, and then laid a bunch of eggs...and ate those too.. I've also tried playing with her...but playing with Duff sounds like a lot more fun, i should probably just get a dog like him.

My dogs name is Gus, after the fat mouse in Cinderella. He is a bichon shitzu so he doesn't weigh nearly as much as your dog! Gus loves bottles, of all shapes and sizes, and will play with one till he was torn it all up. Sometimes Gus sits on me when I'm in bed but I barely notice him!
ReplyDeleteI have a cat and his name is Jiji. We got him when he was four months old and he loved and (somewhat still does) cuddling. You could just be lying in bed and he would climb up on you and start nuzzling your head. But last week he ate a balloon and then he got really sick and almost died, he is now better. He is now running off somewhere with his little gang of cats.

I currently have no pets but I LOVE animals. I have always been a cat person and am currently looking at my calendar which has a picture of a cute orange tabby named Basil. Your loving tales of Duff and his Duff-ness could very well sway me to the doggie side..... someday. Nothing like being squished to bits with animal love. :-)

ReplyDeleteI have to say that I am deathly afraid of dogs. This fear of dogs stems from an incident that happened when I was eight years old and was one inch from being bitten to death. Okay, maybe that's a little bit of an exaggeration, but it was close. I swear that everywhere I go now, dogs gravitate towards me. I don't know why that is. I think they think they're just being playful, but I think it's because they can smell the FEAR emanating from my shaking body!
I used to like cats but have developed an allergy to their hair in the last decade.

I don't have any pets, sadly. But I can talk about my Grandma's dog which I love so much! When ever I come over to see my grandparents which is summer, spring break and Christmas Muffin (the dog's name) always get so excited and happy and starts rubbing her butt against the floor! Muffin has known me my whole life because she is 1 year older than me. She is almost completely deaf now so it's really sad, but she still looks like she's just a puppy!

I have six pets at home. Three dogs and three cats. I know, WAY too many pets for one family of four. But even when they annoy us, we still love them. <3
I have one dog just like Duff, except she is a German Shepard crossed with some other dog I can never remember. She loves to play with tennis balls and, wait for it... my little brother! Weird huh? But for some strange reason, they both love it!
My point has been proven! ;D

Nah, I don't have any pets, although I do want a cat. I started wanting a cat (well, I already sort of wanted a cat before, but you get the point) once I went over to my uncle Darwin's house, he had three cats and one of them was (also only my opinion) the cutest cat in the world, and the other two were just butt munches. Also, when I say cute, I mean CUTE, I very scarcely hear my brother have a high pitched voice on purpose, and only for some cats.
ReplyDeleteAnd in the morning, the cute cat woke me up by meowing a lot, so I got up, and it turned out that no one had fed him yet, and when I got the cat food, he started jumping up on me, and after the million years it took to get to his bowl, he had his head over it so I ended up dropping it on the floor.
I actually have good reasons to tell my mom to get me a cat... I haven't thought of ALL of the reasons. If I had a cat, I'd name him Savini, because TOM Savini was a famous horror make up artist, he worked with George Romero, like dawn of the dead.

I have a cat named Bud who is orange. When we got him our sister was working. When she came home from work she went and sat on the couch. A couple minutes later the cat came around the corner and went to our sister and meowed. I don't like the cat because whenever I go to pet him he sometimes will bite me.

The reason I want a budgie is because I think they would make a great pet. The reason I want a bearded dragon is because I think that they would make a great pet and that it would be fun taking care of it. A bearded dragon is actually a lizard.
The person Rainbow is talking about is me. She invited me to a party and as soon as I went there I was like running all around the house and the dog just sits there staring at me. That was kind of embarrassing but at the end of the day I was sitting on the floor with Duff and scratching his fur. It started when we had our supper. Nummy Nummy Yum Yum said that she was also afraid of dogs but then she is not afraid of Duff so I tried to touch his TAIL by closing my eyes and I FINALLY DID IT!! I TOUCHED A DOG!!!That was the amazing day of my life.
ReplyDeleteI also used to have a dog in India named stephy. He was the worst dog ever. He always barked and never eats his dog food so we had to tie him up on a balcony that was on top of our house. Then he started becoming quiet because my grand father found out that he was really sick so he had to give it to someone. After few months we brought a parrot called mini because he always said mini but obviously he flew away. SO THERE IS MY PET STORY!!

OH MY GOD I want a dog so bad but where I live I can not have one. My dream do is a German shepherd dog. There police dogs and are very good dogs. And i think one would be perfect for me.
ReplyDeleteI have 2 cats, two birds and a fish so you could say I am a animal person but my favorite pets out off all of them would be my cats. It’s not that I don’t like my other pets it’s just that they aren’t as fun to play with as my cats. One reason I like my cats more is that they are SoOOooOOooOO CuTE right when you walk in my house they say hello in their own kind away especially to me :).When you sit down they come up to your face and for some weird reason they rub their heads to my face. It's funny but they only do that to me for a weird reason. Also I love my birds they are soooo cool. One reason is they're tropical colers. One of my birds is named Oscer he is green, yellow and Wight and my other bird is Lily. She is a mean little bird especially when you pick her up she BiteS sOOO hard it hurtz but the only thing I need to work on is trying to make them not scared of me :( They are really shy I have had them for like a year now and they are still shy to me so I leve them alone.
ReplyDeleteNow I am here to tell you about my cereal killing FISH he is EVIL > :) I had four gold fish before but now I traded them for this cool fish he is a fire mouth sicklet. In his past I think he killed around 7 fish or more so now he is all alone in on tank so he can not kill any more fish. That is all my pets and why I think they are cool.
I am excited to read what other kids pets and about what is cool about the pets

I have never had any pets except fish. And I have to say that fish are the most boring pets of all. But they do do some funny things! Like, I remember that some of the gold fish that we had would always get stuck in between rocks and we had to save them. 30 seconds later, they would get stuck again! And each of my siblings got a fish, but we all wanted to name them "goldey" and would fight about it.

Also I remember Duff too. I've combed him many times. And, I love him! He's always has and always been the friendliest dog I know. I've always loved his golden main and cute tail.

ReplyDeleteI had a dog when I was like 4 years old. He was like 14 years old when he died. His name was Aspen. I wasn't very sad when he died. The reason for that is when I was small, I was jumping on my moms bed and he came into the room and jumped onto the bed. I stopped jumping on the bed to get down. Then he came down too. Back then I was scared of Aspen. Then he went right in front of me. I tried do get past him but he wouldn't let me. So then I got back on the bed. As soon as I got onto the bed my hand was in the dogs biting range. Then he bit it. He bit it HARD. And I mean HARD. (He bit me countless times before but never THIS hard.)
That's why I wasn't sad when he died.

Dog are my favourite pets because they're cute,adorable and the best thing about dogs is you could teach them anything.You can't teach some pets like a dog because they're not smart enough.

He is cute but he's very aggressive,he chase people when cousin takes him to walk or he got out of the chain that his into to. One time while we're eating we heard a loud dog bark we thought its a different dog because there's a lot dogs outside but when we looked its Lorkan he got out of the chain that his tie into and he almost bit someone then my cousin caught and my cousin was so tired then my cousin gave to his friends to cooked it because my cousin thought if his dog got bigger its gonna be dangerous.

I always wanted a pet, like any pet.. I had 2 turtles but they were both eaten by rat!!! I know that's a bad way to die ....but so is getting flushed down a toilet!!I use to live by a person that has a bunch of dogs...and I asked him I if could have one and he said I could have one!! So I got excited and than I asked my mom about it and she was like "no .....you're not careful enough for a dog. But I think she just doesn't like dogs because my friend brought a dog over and he left it here and he poop every where when I was taking a shower.. soooo that stunk up the house for a while!! But that was in China.

But he doesn't like having dog poop everywhere..because my dad says I can't even clean up after myself. which is true ...I'm not saying I'm not but I can clean up after a dog .... I know that made no sense but most things in this world make no sense!!! But he wouldn't believe me !! So I tried to convince him to buy a cat ...but he doesn't like cleaning litter box he says " I already have 2 toilets to clean!! I felt bad for him..and so I stop bothering him about pets!!

I want a pet snake soooo badly but my mom doesn't want one.
she says "I dont want any snake slithering around MY house and I'm not gonna have one!"
But at least I still get to catch them in the wild.
Because last year in the summer me and sister were looking around on the farm for some frogs and we knew that frogs liked to hide under rocks and wood so we lifted up a piece of broken wood
and saw a huge snake!
It scared us at first so we just dropped the wood (it did not crush the snake) then she shouted "YES! I FINALY FOUND A SNAKE!" Because she has been looking for a snake as soon as we took stap on theat farm.
So we lifted up the wood again and she tried to grab it but it slitherd away. Sooooo she and I ran after it.
Just when it was just about to slither away in the bush my sister caught it by the tip of its tail! Then she looked in its eye and saw that its pupil was circular. (if the pupil is a slit then its a poisones snake but if it is circular then its not).
Then we just played with the snake for an hour or so and set it free:)

Even though I don't have a dog I really like them, when I was younger I was really afraid that dogs because I always thought they would hurt me and my family. Stop being afraid of dogs when I got older, like when I went with my grandparents to a party I brought all that I need to keep me busy. When I saw a dog I was scared but after they trap the dog with me and I saw that the dog wanted to get out I let it out. Then the dog came back got on to the couch the the dog started to lick my hand so I had to wash my hand. Now you are probably going to think I'm crazy when I tell you this but I was talking to the dog but I was five or six years old. After that night I like dogs then a few years later my mom told me that we had a dog when they were kids, my mom told me she ran away, I think she was a golden retriever.
ReplyDeleteMy mom tells me we don't have a pet like a dog or a cat because they would be too much work and we are very busy at home and we are losing money. I agree with my mom because one thing is that my grandma is still ill and we don't have room for a dog, but after a few years when I'm older we will get a dog like a beagle.
Now I'm only afaid of the scary dogs but other than that I really like dogs, and again I'm afaid of the scary dogs because they can hurt me and my family.
If you want to know whats my favorite animal it is a lion because they remind me of the Lion Dance and they remind me of a Dragon.

ReplyDeleteSo as I was talking about before Jiji is doing just fine. But he does spend a lot of time outside now. After he recovered from his sickness he started to disappear for days on end.We then found out he had joined a gang of other cats and was off getting into mischief.
But the main reason was to talk about my dog Arlo. He was a awesome three legged cattle herder. We got him at the Edmonton Humane Society. He was one of the best animals my family has had.
He was smart he was funny and he was cute. We brought him home and he was very well behaved. But one day he bit my sisters face she was three. She got 16 stiches. But Arlo ... I never saw again.

Duff sounds like a nice and funny dog. But why did you name him after the foumous beer in the simpsons? The fur between the toes sounds kind of weird but he still sounds like a cute retriever to have as a pet.
ReplyDeleteI want a dog really bad but my parents wont let me have one. My dad said that my grand mother had a bosten terier when she was younger. Also another reson they wont let me have a pet is because my sister had a cat once and she took care of it for 3 to 4 weeks and stopped and made us to do it. Eventuly my dad gave it to my other sister Iris and a few weeks after that they lost it and now he's gone. Now he is with another family or a dead corpse in a back ally somwhere around the city or road kill. My dad also thinks the vet bill is too exspensive. I really want a rottwieler, bull dog or a bosten terier,maby a retriever. A lizard wolud be nice too.

I have two dogs that are named macho and willis weird names right? yeah thats what I think so dont think I named them. but back to the dogs macho is the dad and willis is the baby he looks so cute to me and macho has huge eyes like a frog well may not to you but to me. Oh and I almost forgot to tell you they're are both males so it's gonna be okay LOL. They both run really strange unlike other dogs besause they look like they jump like a rabbit and also macho can jump high too so he must be a rabbit joking settle down.

I have current cats as pets. I've always loved cats. I have three current cats. I have owned four cats. My that I have owned are cats Max, Shadow, Bugs & Cinder. Cinder is gone and I mean SAD gone.

I have a dog named Molly (the name was my idea).But she is in Cape Breton. Unfairly .ON THE OTHER SIDE OF CANADA. We used to have a dog here. Her name was Angel until we had to have her go to my dad’s boss house temporarily. But when we came to get her he tried to sweet talk/guilt my dad into letting them keep her. Plus he would not let my dad get her. So the next time my dad tried to get her his boss was not there. None was there they had moved somewhere else. The next time my dad saw her was in a parking lot a few months ago.
ReplyDeleteI also used to have a cat named Basket. I had her since I was born but she could be vicous. I have some scars from her. Then one day she ran away and never came back. Then I had a cat named Lynx who we had to give him to my grandpa then HE ran away I went looking for him for weeks. Then I found out the truth four years later he was hit by a truck. Now I am sad. Right now I have a African fat tailed leopard gecko. Her name is Princess.
My favorite animal is a boa.

ReplyDelete(Ya for me)I had many other pets before these ones but I'll get to those later.
My first pet that I have is a parakeet. Her name is Magua. She has really nice blue, yellow, black and white feathers. She has a really bad temper when she's sacred or angry. That's when she starts to bite. But any other time she is really sweet.
My second pet is a chine’s fighting fish. His name is Fire Lilly
He has a really nice color of red, blue and purple. He doesn't do much. But once he has new water he starts to move really, really fast.
My third is a kitten. His name is Fling I named him fling because I always have to fling him when I am sleeping. He is black and white, and when they blend together he looks the cutest.
My Forth is a cat. His name is tiger. He has orange fur and black stripes just like a tiger. I had rescued him from in the city, when he was living under my ante’s porch. So I brought him home. Then I put him on the deck for the night. The nixed morning I let him out and he went under the cabin until we built him a house for him now he lives in his house at my cabin.
My fifth is a bearded dragon. Her name is Meggie. She is 2 years old, and I got her for my birthday. From head to tail she is almost 2 feet long. Meggie is able to walk on a leash all by herself with no problem of doing so. But when I go to feed her, she backs up and hiss’s at me for a quick second.
Ok, onto my earlier pets that I had in my life. My first pet that I ever got was a dog. Her name was shadow. I don’t really remember what breed she was, I just remember that she loved me and I loved her, and I still do. But what is really sad is that she had to be put down about a year ago. Because she had cancer.
The nixed pet the I ever got was a salamander. I didn’t have to pay for him, because I had found him in my back yard by my old waterfall. He used to eat worms that we set out on the table for him. I had to let him go when we where just about to move. So that was the last time I ever saw that little fella.
The third pet that I ever new, Was two ginning pigs. I don’t remember their name’s but they were loud. Every night I could hear them in there cage running around and squeaking.
The forth, was a rabbit his name was bunny. We had named him bunny because we couldn’t think of any other names to name him. One time when I wasn’t eating my food my mom said “ well what do you want” so I said “bunny”. I probably said that because I didn’t know what she meant. Anyway she got bunny out of his cage got a pot of water. (not that deep) and turned the stove on. Then she put bunny in the pot. All of a sudden I started to eat really fast. When I was all done mom pull bunny out of the pot and put him in a towel then she handed it to me. Thank goodness mom didn’t put the temperature on too hi.

We have lots of pets in our family: three gerbils named Jane, Lightning and Thunder and one bunny named Min.
ReplyDeleteI enjoy letting the gerbils crawl on my hands and arms, but I really love sitting on the floor with Min. He will hop over to me and bump me with his nose to say "Hi." If I don't reach down and pet him right away, he will bump me again to remind me that he's there. Min especially loves to have his nose stroked; he will lay as flat as he can and go limp, just as if he'd died and gone to heaven. I imagine he feels the same way I do after I've eaten a piece of cheesecake!

I really like dogs. I have one he is a golden reitreiver border collie black lab mix. He died a long time ago but i remember him of the back of my head. He was my favorite in the whole world. he was the nicest dog i ever met. He was all black and he weighed 110 pounds:ps he eat to much.
