Well I when I got picked to be blogger of the week, I had NO idea what I was going to do. So then I thought, well what do I do in the summer? ………………..
I travel!
Every year in the summer we (as in my family) go visit our family in well pretty much every were. It usually takes us about……5 days to there and back. What we do is we usually go to Regina to Massy to Parry Sound to Berry Ontario to Toronto Toronto
I also love going out there because almost all of my family lives on the farm, like my great grandpa in Massy. He has a dog named daisy and even owns pigs. I also loved it there because my Great Grandma was a great cook. But the only reason why he keeps pigs is because he uses them for the pig roast we have every year (It’s kind of like a family reunion). But ever since two years ago I never ate one pig. Because Grandpa said that he wanted some family time with me and my sister, and I thought that he would take us fishing or something.
So we started walking and talking and before I knew it I was standing in front of the slaughter House!!!!! And all I could think was “GET ME OUT OF HERE” so when we walked in all I saw was a dead pig in the middle of the table.
Then he asked my sister to saw off the leg. THEN he wanted a picture with both of us holding the pig’s leg!!! ……I never ate a pig at my great grampus farm again!
And at my aunty (who owns a farm in Parry Sound) used to have a Husky dog but he got hit by a car when they were on vacation. But they own their own pond, which is awesome!!!
But anyway back to the hole point of this story, this year is different, my sister is flying out to see my other aunty and the rest of us are going to go down to America up to Canada again and then all the way back again! I’m exited because I never went out of Canada

ReplyDeleteEwwwwwwwwwww, I know if my grandpa took me to a slaughter house I would run for my life if you know what I mean. As much as I LOVE and I mean LOVE bacon, I try to keep my meat eating to a minimum because I feel really bad about eating an animal.
The only time that I ever went out of Canada was when I went to Hollywood in California!!!! We did so much in California. We went to Disney Land and Universal Studios. At Disney Land you can probably guess what we did. My favorite ride was probably the Simpsons ride. That one was hilarious and fun. In Hollywood we took a tour of different movie sets and watched a car explode. It was so much fun!!!!

ReplyDeleteThe part about the pig is actually (sorry...) funny! And you know what your Grandpa should have yelled? "Look what's for breakfast!"
And you're lucky you travel, Mexico is the farthest I have been out of Canada. I also went to Vancouver, visiting my Aunt and Uncle.
But personally, I don't like to travel. It's(usually) really, really boring getting there. Especially a VERY LONG CAR TRIP TO VANCOUVER! REALLY painful!
My point has been proven! ;D

Every summer I go to BC with my Nana and grandpa and we go all over BC. This year we're going to Vancouver Island. We're gonna ride a ferry all the way to Victoria.
That sounded like a pretty good vacation. But you should still eat pig. Just so you had to hold the leg of a dead pig doesn't mean you're scarred for life. It's not like you had to do it again. Just be glad he didn't make you hold the head or the entire carcass.
ReplyDeleteI've been out of Canada tons of times. I've gone to : Minasoda, Long Beach, Calafornia, Virgina, Reno, Las vagas, San Diego, Montana and a few other places in the states. My parents have been to tones of places before I was born because some of the places sounded pretty good. This year I'm going to viset my grandma in Winnipeg. It will be a good trip.

Well I love to travel but I don't like going on planes or cruises because I am always afaid that the boat or the plane is either going to crash or sink. I like traveling by car to another province, country and continent, the reason I like traveling by is that I feal more safe. I like to lie down and sleep and sit back and watch movies and play games and have some snacks. But the most fun activity is to look at the scenery to look at the trees, flowers, moutains and clouds especially clouds.
ReplyDeleteWhy you ask that I say couds, well if you really take the time go outside look at the clouds see the clouds change form and it is a beautiful thing.

ReplyDeleteDuring the summer I usually go camping for the first two weeks of July. I go camping out at Arm Lake, Alberta. I LOVE going swimming while we are there. The reason I love swimming out there is because my cousins live maybe five minutes away from where we go camping. In the summer we usually go tubing and knee boarding.
ReplyDeleteI have traveled a couple times but I would rather go camping because when we do travel I try to fall asleep at night but it is so hard to sleep and when you go camping you are able to to sleep on a nice comfy bed.

SUMMER I want summer to come so bad when summer comes I can go to BC,JASPER,BANFF,SUSCKACHAWON and the best part is I can SLEEP IN. I love summer it is warm you can relax and I don’t need to do any thing and there is no school. But it will be sorta sad this year because this is my last year here with all my friends and the teachers that I have been with sense grad 2. :(

DeleteEvery year my family and I go to Regina, Saskatchewan to see my old friends. It is an 8 hour trip there and back. When we go there, we usually go see them first or second. One of them is like my best friend and I miss her so much! Her name is Evelyn and is 9 or 10. Her younger brother is so cute! His name is Seth and always says "girl" "goul". It is so funny! Then they have a step sister Jaden and there mom is Leslie.
ReplyDeleteOne of my favorite thing to do there is to go to a dessert shop called "desarte sweets". It is this adorable little candy shop. They sell ice cream, jelly beans, and tons of other stuff to! Even sugar crystals!
Another fun thing to do is to just swim at the hotel and hang out in the room.

I really like summer It is awesome. Usually in the summer I go to my old house in sherwood park. I have at least eight friends there. I hope I go there soon.
