You know how the Euro Cup is coming up in Poland on Friday? At our school we had a similar sort of thing. There were thirty-two teams, one for every country in Europe . Every team had kids from [(our school!)], [another school I'll call RP], [and the last school I'll call RT]. In total, there were about 750 kids. Talk about a lot! Anyway, I was on the team Belgium , and it was just my luck I ended up on the same team as my sister. ;) On a completely unrelated note, we made it to the last three games! We only lost three of the many we played. The only goal I got in the whole day was on T.V.!
I made two new friends, one from [RT] and one from [RP], and talked and laughed all the times we weren’t playing soccer. We played that game were you pat your legs twice, then do one of the actions, shoot, shield or reload, with the rest of the team, as well as ourselves.
I got hit in the face twice (by the same person) on the first and last games we played. My friend from [RT] , I think, was the one who hit me. The first time, we both kicked the ball, and it went up, landing on my left cheek and half open eye. The second time, we both kicked, the ball went up and landed on my right cheek and side of nose. I’m going to finish that thought with... OUCH.
I think the best part of that day was the freezies. Everyone loves freezies. I know it’s really bad for me, but I had... ba ba baba! THIRTEEN! I didn’t even feel sick after! Yes, I do know it is really, really bad for me, and I know I said that twice, but freezies are so good! I love freezies!
Okay. Last paragraph. Here are a few questions to answer in your comment:
Did you make any friends? If you did, how many? If you didn’t, I’m sorry.
What team were you on?
How long did your team last in the finals?
How many goals did you score?
How many freezies did you eat?
AND...... How many times did you get hurt?

BLOGGER OF THE WEEK
It sounds like you had fun at the Mini Euro Cup. I enjoyed it too! I didn't eat any freezies, though.
ReplyDeleteMy favourite part was watching how people on the field worked together to score goals. I also enjoyed seeing so many smiling faces. It looked like virtually everyone was having a great time.
I'm glad you enjoyed it, too.
In the mini Eruo cup we should have one my team was Denmark and we lost to Italy because they cheated. They had there best players from grad 4 going agenized grad 1 think the reef was blind but enough complaining. The Mini Uruo Cup was fun. There was a lot of stuff like frenzies and a bunch of tv stations interviewing some of the kids in my school. I had a lot of fun in the Mini Eruo cup and I am excited to read what fun the other kids had.
ReplyDelete-PAPA SMURF
It was FINE but it can be better.
ReplyDeleteHope every one had fun in their games.
My name goes to the official web site.
I will review more
The Mini Euro Cup was REALLY fun!
ReplyDeleteI was on team Romania, and I really liked my team. We won EVERY SINGLE GAME. But sadly, we didn't get in the finals because we lost the ONE shoot-out we had. THE ONE SHOOT-OUT!!! And I know the games were for fun, but I was really disappointed. D:
And I got on T.V! Yeah! I got interviewed on 'SHAW T.V.', and I was also on CBC. :D :D :D
And that is SO not fair that you got a whole 13 FREEZIES! I only got 1 Freezie! 1 FREEZIE! I asked for a second one, but the lady was like "No, you can't have a second Freezie! That isn't allowed!!"
My point has been proven! ;D
**Purple Unicorn**
I was on the team Luxemburg. I love that name! It sounds sooo cool ^.^ . I didn't score any but I did help a lot,, I guess.. I'm sad that I didn't make it to the finals but it was fun just hanging out. I had 2 freezies, I got one from you and I just got one.
ReplyDeleteI had lots of fun though, I hope we could do this again! I'm sad that I didn't get to do a shoot out though, even though that wasn't a real shoot out! I was more like bowling in a way.
I also wish that I got interviewed because that would be sooo amazing to get to!!
Well SEE YA LATER

First of all....I didn't get to eat any freezies...when I try to I had to go back to my team!! Ahhhhh.... now I really wish that I had some...!!! Well nothing is fair in life... what can I do!! I was on Sweden but I didn't do that well...I got beat every time but once but every other time we lost because we always get a tie and my team sucks on shoot out probably because that it's not really a shoot out you just have to get it close to pine-cone!!
ReplyDeleteI didn't get hurt once but I think I tripped like 4 or 3 people!!
It was so fun...I love the Euro Cup!! My favorite part was that we didn't have to learn!! That all I got to say!

I think that the Mini Euro Cup was very fun. The team I was on was Lithuania. On the first knock-out game that we played we lost sadly. But the team that we played ended up in the final. So that means that they were pretty good. But when we played them we lost 2-1 so that was a good loss. The first game that the other team played was 6-0, then the next game 7-0, then the last game 8-0. But when we played them we lost 2-1. So that means we were pretty good at soccer (or maybe it was our coaches).
ReplyDeleteMe and this one kid from [RT] or [RP] almost scored 5 goals together. But I didn't score any.

OMG!!! That day was AWSEOME!!! I can give you a lot of reasons. can I? Here it goes.
ReplyDelete1. I was interviewed by the CBC media and I was ON TV. Isn't that cool!!!
2.I made new friends from RT and RP. They were really friendly.
3. Even if we lost our 4th or 5th game me and some of my friends played basketball with the grade 9 students and guess what? We WON.
4. We got freezes but not as much as you got because we did not know that we can get more.
5. Even if I couldn't hang out with my school friends I did see them and even played against them.
It was more fun than you think because it was!! I think all my friends enjoyed it. I am really sad that if they orgnized it next year me and my friends won't be there to enjoyed but we might be the coaches some day. SOME DAY......... SOME DAY and I forgot to say that my teams name was Croatia.

Mini euro cup was EPIC. I would have gone insane if we made it to the final game. It was a lot more fun than I thought. Add the main reason I say that is because It bring's back memory's. And you can guess what i'm talking about if you saw my green timbit's jersey with the bold white 16 on it. Yep I scored a lot back then.
ReplyDeleteThere were a lot of good parts but ranking them they would be like this:
1. autographs
2. freezies
3. our 2 game win streak.
There were others but that's just the top three.
Questions.
1. No. :[
2. SCOTLAND[forever].
3.We lost the first game against Spain[ I hate you Spain].
4. 1
5. Once when ***** Chucked a stick at me by accident.
But other than that it was epic.

SHE SHOOTS...... SHE SCORES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteOnce. What I mean by that is that I only got one goal in the whole game. Okay. About that. In one of the videos "The Big HAM" showed us my team (Spain) was the highlight! And, I don't know how but I just HAPPENED to be RIGHT were the camera was. HEEHEEHEE! Anyways, I am mad because I didn't get on camera once. I don't want to seem like I have a big ego or anything, but come on I think everyone EXCEPT the no-media kids wanted to be on camera at least once!
I ate one freezie like I was supposed to! khajiit........ I mean REALLY, thirteen freezies. I guess they were kind of small but still! How did you do that? I saw people try and almost every time the people handing them out noticed the fact that they had already had one. I can't believe that.
I'm jealous D:.
Rainbow Cotton Candy
I loved the mini euro cup event and I was on team Norway and I was the best in our team. No joke and no brag! But there was a pretty good player and we got to be friends and she always passed to me. I got all the goals and got 6 or 7 goals in total. She and I were really good.
ReplyDeleteI ate 8 or 9 freezes and they didn't know I went there a lot of times.
-poogibear^^
That Mini Euro Cup is fun but it didn't go that fun as I thought it would be because we have to play to the small field with a wooden bar. But I still like it because we got a free day, we don't need to do work at school and we don't to go in our classes.
ReplyDeleteI made a few new friends from the other school, some of them are really nice. Specially our coach from the junior high school they're so nice and they're patient from the little kids. I have a friend from the other school that is on my team but I forget his name. Anyway, his really good, he can do rainbow and he can kick good too and his so nice, he got like 5 goals and 4 assist.
Jhepoy_08

A:I didn't get hurt at all
So text you later.
See ya
First I'm am going to answer all your question so lets go order so I think I made One friend. I was on the team of Slovakia and we all said that we were going to show that Slovakia is the best. But then we got knocked out by Portugal we were like fourth place I think, I don't know. Slovakia lasted two games in the play offs, I have not scored a goal, and I did not a feezies because they contain sugar. In the play offs I saw Nina got hit in the face by the ball and the kicker is really tall and a strong kicker Nina got focus and went on but then it started to hurt even more ouch. I got hit in the nose so face by a small ball again ouch.
ReplyDeleteThat day was really fun we stayed in nthe play offs but not for long we missed a few thing like missed our lunch break and missed to get feezies so we had to take time to eat but we were late for one of our games. Ryan was talking to this one girl that was in goal and when someone was shooting she didn't get it I laughed at that. But I did not know what to do after we were knocked out I know we had free time but there was still nothing to do the I found one of my classmates and play a little soccer game.
~Small Iahk
That day was really fun.
ReplyDeleteOn Monday, June 4, 2012, Forest Heights had a mini euro cup with all the German bilingual schools in the city. It was a mini tournament based on the euro cup happening in Europe. All of the kids from the schools were split up into 32 European countries for the tournament. Each team played a minimum of 4 games throughout the day. 3 in the morning, and one minimum elimination game in the afternoon. If your team one the first game in the afternoon, then you go on to the next round against one of the other teams that made it. and then the final game for the first place trophy. But if you lost the second game then you still have a chance to go for third place.
Our team didn't win the first game, so for almost the whole afternoon we had almost nothing to do for 2 hours. Our country was Luxembourg. We had a very kind team. In the 2 hours that we did nothing, I only had one freezy. But when we did play, only one person scored all of the goals plus one person. A bunch of people came close to scoring , but just couldn't do it.
OMG!!! I loved the mini euro cup sooooooooooooooooooooo much! It was the most fun I've had in a long time!!! But I only got 4 Frezzies:( but it was still a lot of fun though!
ReplyDeleteI think the most exciting thing that happened was that my team got 3rd out of 32 teams!!!!My team was Portugal. But we did not get into the finals because some one from the Cyprus team *COUGH,COUGH jHEPOY_08 COUGH,COUGH* CHEATED! Well at least that's what I think. Anyway, some of the cheers that we were saying was:
WE PUT THE GOAL IN PORTUGAL!!!,
GIMME A P!P! GIMME AN O!O! GIMME AN R!R! GIMME A T!T! GIMME A U!U! GIMME A G!G! GIMME AN A!A! GIMME AN L!L! WHAT'S THAT SPELL? PORTUGAL!!!!,
PORTUGAL, PORTUGAL, PORTUGAL, PORTUGAL!!!!!
one thing that I thought was really weird was that we got some coaches from another school and my coach, Derek, well lets just say that everyone loved him! It was really weird!HE WAS ON MY TEAM!!!! NOT ANYONE ELSE'S!!!! TOTALLY WEIRD!
~Purple Bunny ;p
P.S. PORTUGAL!!!
YOU SHOULD REALLY READ THIS
ReplyDeleteI didn't really enjoy the whole soccer thing because I had a soccer game on monday, soccer picturs on tuesday, a soccer game on wensday, a soccer practice on thursday, friday off, two soccer tornements on saturday( one in the morning and one in the afternoon),and two more at the same time on sanday!
And then I had the Euro Cup thin the whole day and then another soccer game after that.
Soooo I kinda got sick of soccer and satyed deffence the whole day.
Oh and by the way i was on the team Latvia. But my taem was pritty good, we made it to the second round of the knockouts.....But then you know... we kinda got knocked out.
So after we got knocked out I went and played baskit ball and ate freezes.
But I'm confused, all of my other friends got like 10 freezes but I onley got one and I wasn't allowd to have another. But it's just freezes sooo I'm not going to fuss about it.
NUMMY NUMMY YUM YUM :)
My team for the Mini Euro Cup was Poland. I have to admit but I was not wanting to play. My favorite part was the freezes, BUT I ONLY GOT TWO!!! :( I wanted to have 20 freezes BUT I DIDN'T.!!!! So now you've heard my experience which sucks.
ReplyDeleteSpottedpaw over and out.
~spottedpaw
Mini Euro Cup was EPIC!. I was on the team Germany. every one on Germany knew how to play soccer they were very nice. I met many people from (RT) and (RP) they were all very nice people.
ReplyDeleteI was not interviewed. I was hoping I would be interviewed. I did not get into the finals because of a shootout. It was very fun playing soccer for the entire day. I had 12 freezes not counting the one we got from our leader from the junior high school. I do think that some people from the other schools clearly did not know how to play soccer.
I hope this event happens in the future, so that other kids can enjoy it.
