Last year and again this year, we are going to Penticton. We always go boating and tubing and jump off the boat. It is really fun. The first year that we got the boat was last year. I really like the boat. We camp right by the beach. Last year in Penticton there was a HUGE wind storm. Like I mean boats were falling into each other, buoys were going everywhere, even awnings were flying out of the ground. It was so strong, that my dad had to drive the boat to the marina very slowly and safely. Now back to the good parts of the vacation. Whenever we drove the boat to the marina to fill up with gas, we would go drive the boat to the other side of the lake. (The lake was called Skaha Lake) We would always drive the boat REALLY FAST. We also went tubing. We didn’t do it a lot because it was always a little bit wavy. So that didn’t make it very fun. Although I do remember going on it once. That time we almost got flipped. (Meaning we almost flipped over into the water) We also went go karting in Penticton. We went on a short track. I always tried to get the fastest go kart there. Even though there was two really fast go karts I normally only want a certain one. (That was because one of them had Barbie on them) Normally the faster ones were the double people ones.
I want to know if you have had any fun boating/beach vacations.

I was in Penticton on the beach many years ago and I thoroughly enjoyed it. We were driving from Edmonton to Vancouver and Penticton happened to be one of our stops. I didn't think I would enjoy lying on the beach so much or playing in the water.
ReplyDeleteI remember that the year I went there was a convention and we couldn't find anywhere to stay. So we ended up staying in a hostel, which is kind of like a hotel but the rooms were separated with bunk beds for girls and bunk beds for boys. It was a little strange but an adventure nonetheless.

ReplyDeleteIf I was to go on a vacation I would go to Mexico. I would want to go to Mexico because you can go swimming with the sea turtles, you can have monkeys on your back and you can pet baby lions.
I have never been on a plane, but I want to because I want to know if I get air sick. Other than that, that is the only reason I want to go on a plane.

ReplyDeleteLast year I had the best summer of my life it was sooo fun. I got to go on a bouts jump off of them swim in the lake and play games at night in the woods. It was a summer camp soo I loved it. your summer at the lake you went to seemed really fun to I am exited to read what the other kids have done on some good or bad summer vacation places.

See I go to BC every year with my grand parents.(in 4 years I'm going to Italy with them yay!)
But this year I'm going to Victoria with them.
Anyway while we were tubing in the Canal I was on my grandpas tube and he lost his sandal in the water and he sat bolt right up and made me fall off the tube in the water.(I was actually quite relaxed before hes sat up).
Then later we went GO-KARTING and I asked if I could drive(and I should have known the answer) and he said no because I was too small (which I mean too young because I was never very small).
So anyway yeah it was a blast.

DeleteThat actually sounds pretty fun! I guess it would be really nice to go to beaches and go boating and that because I would really like to go jump of the boat. I think I'm going to my home town called Weyakwin which means "swearing town" in Cree. Anyways when I'm there my family really likes to go to the lake we have there in Weyakwin. I dont have much more to write about this so I'm just going to write about what I mostly do in Weyakwin which is biking around and walking but I'm mostly with my cousins playing and walking. I find it really fun that I get to pick on my cousins because most of them are already smoking but hardly the one I hang with dont.

ReplyDeleteHmmmmmmmmmm.Hmmmmmmmmmm. I really don't know. The only time I went to a real "vacation" beach was when I went to the cold beaches of Sidney,BC. But I have also gone to um, I forget the name of the place but its only like, 1 or 2 hours away and its really nice! I went there with my cousins and uncle.

I sometimes go to Vancouver in the summer, to visit my Aunt and Uncle. That is SUPER fun!!!! They have a boat, and usually we boat for a couple hours. Then in some spots, we jump off the boat and go swimming. One time once we jumped off, a crab bit my dad's toe!!
And this summer, my brother and I are going to some camp whose name I can't pronounce. It is right by Lake Wabuman. So we will probably get to go swimming!!!!!! YEAH!!!!!

Well... I have never been to a beach or on a vacation in Canada but I can tell you that I have been to many vacations around the world. First I went to this beach called the golden beach in India. It does not mean that it is gold but I think it was awesome. During that time I was 4 and I was terrified of water. I just lied on the sand with my grandma and this random boy named Kim(I swear I don't know this boy.)After some time I see my uncle carrying me towards the water and I am yelling from my throat. That was fun.
ReplyDeleteAn other time I went to this place called kishkinda(kish-kin-DA)It is like a fun park with a billions of games together and I hate that place a bit. I am really scared of heights and my parents made me go on a roller coaster. I almost threw up. Ewww. Lets go to the best part. I got to participate in a swimming contest and unfortunately I lost but the fun part was we got to eat food in the water. I think that was awesome.

ReplyDeleteMy favorite "beach vacation" was actually half in Penticton! The reason why I say half is because half of my beach vacation was in Kelowna and the other half was in Penticton. Basically it was a week and a day vacation! The reason why it was my favorite beach vacation is because we spent like everyday at the beach! (also I got a REALLY good tan!!!!!)
Another fun thing we did is in Penticton we did this thing called a River Float. So basically you blow up a floating device (or you can swim) and you just float for like 2 hours because the river current is so strong. It is soooooo much fun. My friend and I swam the whole way with goggles so we saw so many fish. It was so cool but we were really tired afterwards.
By the way the reason why we go to Penticton and Kelowna is because we have family in Kelowna and our BEST friends are in Penticton.
Just saying.

First of all I can't wait untill it is summer vacation but school ending does not sound good to me especially going to a different school the next year. Well at least making new friends sounds good to me, and also learning new things sounds good to me.
ReplyDeleteI like summer vacation because of all the fun activities in the summer. Last year my mom and my grandma and me of course. went on a roadtrip to British Columbia and it was phenomenal. The reason I liked it was that I used the three back seats as a bed, well I was tired and very lazy that day so don't blame me. Anyways I had breakfast in bed and I watched movies all day and that was the day I took pictures of nature and real life. It was a blast but the seat/bed was okay to sleep on but hurts your back and also the sun is in your eyes in the morning.
Another vacation was eight years ago when me and my family went to Vietnam, now that was a lot of fun we went to a ceramony and I got a pet fish. The fishes died because I feed them chips, okay I was like four so don't blame me and we got to watch videos of our family's past wel that's all.

This July I'm going to Penticton for a week for a wedding. I don't really want to go because the place I go camping is the best! I would rather go there then to go to Mexico or DisneyLand again.

The best thing about Vacationing is the family. Every year in the summer I get to see my cousin, I used to only get to talk to her in the summer but now I can talk to her on my Xbox :)

Penticton sounds fun. The go karting sounds likes the best part. Iv'e been to the beach a few times in Winnipeg. The beach is called Victoria beach. There is a small route which you have to walk along and then you get to these small buildings. The only one I remember is this nice bakery. Then there is another super small path [ it's actually it's a meter of dirt going through this small wall of trees] and you see the rest room and snack bar. Victoria beach is wide and has a very big water area.

1. Hawaii. Fun in the sun and home of coconut bras.
Down side: shark warnings.
2. Mexico. The kingdom of tacos and land of the sombrero.
Down side: becomes the sun's son in summer.
3. Ireland: Best known for the beer and only place known to have leprhachauns.
Down side: high chance of getting attacked by a drunk leprachaun.

Where is Penticton!? Everybody goes but not me! But I have went go carting and it is fun like nerd raging! I always get the fast ones and I am good at it too. I never bump into anything.

I love vacations. Every year (except for last year) me and my family go to Regina,Saskatchewan. My favorite part is the road trip, mainly because the view is phenomenal, in Lloydminster, there's a KFC in the border in between Alberta and Saskatchewan, so we have this joke in my family that they kill the chicken in one province, and serve it in the other.
ReplyDeleteWhy we go there is because we have close friends there, the guy I always hang out with is like the brother I never had, his name is Seth, he's 5 years old, and we always hang out when we go there, because, he has no one to hang out with but the adults, I have no one to hang out with but the adults, and besides, I sort of have to baby sit him, and he's so cute, he's always happy, there's no way to be mad at him when he's smiling, and when he did something bad by accident, he looks so apologetic. Plus we stay at the Travolodge, and it has an awesome pool there.

ReplyDeleteMy favorite part of the summer is when we go canoeing down the river from Leduc. When you go canoeing never and I mean never jump out of a canoe. But if you decide to anyway I will never talk to you again.
The best vacation I have ever been on was when we went to maui Hawaii. I was the one that could catch a gecko. I was an angel or so I thought. But alas it could not last forever.

I like to go to the beach but the only thing that I don't like the ocean!! Mostly because I scared of the sharks and sea animal piss every where!! But mostly the sharks...I watch a lot of the most deadly and brutal killer of the world like mostly every day!! And the sharks were the top 5 but the crocodiles was the first I'm pretty sure but if it's not it's the vipers!!! And all the people there... I usually like a lot of people but not if you can't move 2cm with out bumping into someone!!

And there's a baby sister for my baby sister so I don't have to babysit!! That would be great and the best time of my life!!

The first thing that I need to say is that YOU ARE SO LUCKY, because I'm not even allowed to leave Alberta. Which is totally not fair. :( I also cannot go tubing which also sucks. But lets look at the bright side of my vacations.
ReplyDeleteLast year I went to Athabasca to go fishing. But my job was not to fish. My job was to, get the net and try to get the fish into the net before the line breaks. After that I had to untangle the fish in a certain amount of time. Then I have to hold the fish down (without getting cut by the fin) so my dad can measure it. If it is too big than I have to throw it back into the water if not than I have to put in a little net that’s in the water. So that’s about it, so see ya.
I have never went to a beach anywhere.ANYWHERE I TELL YOU, AANNYYWWHHEERREE!! So I have NEVER LEFT THE PROVINCE!!!!!!!! I only left the city to go see my grandma in Grande Prairie before my grandpa died.

ReplyDeleteEvery year me andmy family dirve down to Rigina to see my anty Twink and unkle Matty. When we are there we usualy make a song or play songs with his instroments(he has 3 gatars,2 harmonicas,1 piano,1 tamberen, 3 drumbs and way more).
and really we just have fun and usually just go out for ice cream and go to the musiam there(oh and by the way my unkle Matty is a REALLY GOOD SHEIF).
So we stay there fo about 2-3 days and head out to Massy to see my: Great garmpa

and ect. and what we do there is really every thing. we go quading and my grampa says that if we get up early enough he will take us out for breckfast.
we also go fishing and evry day after dinner he takes us out for ice cream.

and I think this prt is awesome,one of the roads to get to my Great Grampas farm is called my name: ****** road.
But we onley stay there 3-4 days then we start to head out to parry sound(I don"t have much time left so I'm just going to hurry up with this).
it's this farm that my Anty Claudia and unkle Gram lives in.

but any way we stay there for 3-4 days and headout to Berry.
Thats were my anty Linda and all my causens live.
thay own 2 dog's. one is King, he is almost at my chest, thats how big he is. and the other one is this small dog named benny.
then we go all the way down to Toronto and all the way back home.
But this year we are going through Amarica!
