My dad was born in St. Catharines , Ontario but he grew up in the small little town of Niagara on the Lake or NoTL for short on a fruit farm with lots of cherry, apple, peach and pear trees. Dad had to work on the farm with my aunts and uncles. He loved it. He misses it too.
Niagara on the Lake used to be called Newark Fort George is in Niagara-on-the-Lake where the War of 1812 took place between the British and the United States
We might be going there in the summer to visit my aunts and uncles. I can’t wait.

No I have not been there. This summer we are going to Vancouver this year again. We go there every year. I think Vancouver is really busy. It takes at least an hour or two to get through the city. We some times go to Revelstoke but not usually because the Rogers pass is sometimes closed and it is far away.
ReplyDeleteI am not interested in going to Notl. My best summer is when the renovations where going so we had to go to my grandpas for two months. But he wasent there because he was on vacation. I had about 11 friends there and now I only see two of them. We had bike races around the block and we would go to seven-eleven with me friends. Basically all we did was bike and race around the neighbourhood and joke around. That was the best summer ever. I sometimes see them at thanks giving or Christmas
because we have a huge dinner at my Grandpas.

I have never been to Niagara-on-the-lake. I would really to see some of those really old buildings. I wonder if some of those buildings are falling apart.
ReplyDeleteWhere I am going for summer vacation is World Water Park. My favourite slide is the Blue Bullet. I like when it goes really dark and the next thing you know you are in the water.
This summer I went to Banff. My favourite store there is the candy store. I love when you get to pick out as much candy as you want. I always love to get so much candy that I get in trouble.

ReplyDeleteMy plans for summer are probably the same as every year. My sister comes from Saskatoon or my family goes to Saskatoon but that's just a thing our family usually does.
What I did on summer was dream about unicorns, play my favourite classic game doom,and walk down town every week. Also my sister came for a week to visit and we went to West Edmonton mall at least four times.

I have not been to NoTL but I think that it would be cool to go there. The reason I would like to go is because there is great history and old things there like hotels from over 150 years old.
ReplyDeleteI don't have plans for summer vacation but one thing that I would like to is go to B.C. and see some of my family and go to the Vancouver aquarium and see the beluga whales and see the gift shop.
The best summer vacation I ever had is when I went to B.C. and saw the Vancouver aquarium with my grandma and my brother and my mom it was so fun.

ReplyDeleteMy best summer vacation was when my brother and me went to Calafornya it was so fun. I have not been able to plan my vacation. I am too busy in school work.
I want to go to Hawaii it would be so hot in Hawaii yet so fun. But my dad does not have enough money to go to Hawaii.
I have never been to Niagara lake before but it sounds like fun. What really sucks is that I have never even been out of the province.
ReplyDeleteSo far my summer vacation plan is that I am going to do ten-kilometre bike rides all summer and get one of those cameras that you can attach on your bike or helmet.
One summer I went to Banff and I took my old bike and rode it alot but that bike doesn't work as good as this one that I have now.
No I have not been to noTL and do not think I ever will but I would like to go there very much.
ReplyDeleteMy plans for the summer are to go to my cabin at Pigeon Lake and stay for at least three days. What I would do at my cabin is to go swimming, go into the old trailer, eat Pringles and clean the house and trailer.
My summer last year was good except we were in hospitals a lot because my grandpa had a heart attack and heart surgery. Also my Oma passed away and the rest of my summer was awesome. We went to spray parks almost every day and went to my cabin for a day with my cousin sabre.

ReplyDeleteThis summer I am going to China to see my grandma and grandpa. My whole family is going. When we get there I get to see Mimi she is my dog. After one day we are going to the museum. We have a museum near our house.
We will have so much fun. Because there is a new waterpark that opened. Me and my little sister are going to buy a lot of things. Because we have a lot of money. From the new year me and my sister have 1045$. If we put it together. There is a big big mall near us.

My favourite summer was about two years ago we went to my cabin and went whale watching and saw
really cool trees.

I have not been to NoTL actually I have never heard of it. I think it would kind of like to go there because Niagara,Niagara falls. It also sounds like people like to swim A LOT. And there is a lot of fishing going on.
ReplyDeleteMy plans for a Summer vacation are going to my dad's house and barbecue a lot of ribs and hotdogs. Then eat like Americans. I bet we will all be really fat :/. And then we will sleep like were dead.
My Summer vacation was awesome. We went all the way down to Pigeon Lake,which is really far away!
Our Great Grandparents and us have cabins there but they're really beat up. The floor creeks a lot. And we went swimming, ate ice cream, chicken nugget meals.

Every summer me my Mother and my little brother go to a place called Pine lake. It takes two hours to get there. Bur when we get there we stay in my grandmothers trailer. At Pine lake there is a beach and a swimming pool. Almost every day we go swimming at the swimming pool because it is free.

No I have't been to Niagara-on-the-lake and I don't want to. My best vacation was when I went to Lacombe when my aunt went to go and play soccer in Red Deer. It was a lot of fun.

ReplyDeleteI will Probably spend every hour in the West Edmonton water park wave pool. I also might go on the new pink water slide then maybe the raft area and then the blue toilet bole. I will invite Noa and Loel It will be fun when I go in the wave pool I will go under the waves then swim after them and surf the top of the wave my favourite wave is the title wave.

I never went there at all. My best summer will I never had a Best summer vacation because my grat grat gramer died. My mom and me were very sad. I was in grade three I was so sad when I found out my mom was crying at the funeral. When I got home I was so so tiryed and sad. I still miss her. and my mom still miss her.and my dad was so so sad too.

ReplyDeleteI don't have any plans for summer vacation but I do have plans for October. We are going to Vancover-British Colombea for my little sisters first birthday. We are going to either stay at my great grandparints or one of aunitys places.
The last summer vacation that I've had that I can remember is last year when I went to B.C we went to the Vancover aquarium. We also did some family stuff.

ReplyDeleteIn grade 1/2 my family went to Disney land and we had an Hotel to sleep in and a pool outside we even have an fold up bed T.V. and video games on the T.V there optional. I also been to China it was hot there. I saw my Anti's, Uncle's and Cousins.
I have never been to Niagara on the Lake but if I could I would.I think its a great place I would want to go there because its where old hotels and houses. And I wanted to see hotels that are that old.

My Favorite summer vacation was when I went to California to see my great grand mother, she has a house here and a house in California so she goes to California for winter and stays here during summer one time she went in summer so I came for my first time. I also like it there because she has a lemon tree in her back yard, I love lemons so she also makes lemon marange pie.

ReplyDeleteI have know idea what my plans for summer are. But I think I might go to the YMCA day camps. At the YMCA day camps we go there all day , well from like 7:00-6:00. All the camps are different, like they all are featuring different things like art camp, sports camp, and swimming camp. I would like to go to swimming camp if I am going. I don't think I will travel this year.
I think the best summer vacation I have ever had was when I went to Nova Scotia with my mom and brother. I had lots of fun, even though the trip here and back were very tiring. We went for 6 days. We had to get on the plane to get there at 11:30 pm! We were on the plane for 5 hours! It is very hard to sleep on a plane. I watched two movies and sort of drifted off. When we got there my grandma/grandmere and her husband picked me up. We landed in Halifax at 6:00.(their time) They live in a small town called Claire which is 3 hours away from Halifax. I was so tired from the fly that I slept the whole way back, exept for when we stoped for timmys. We had a great time during the visit. We went to the beaches and ate lobster and swam in the oceanand had a bonfire on the beach.

ReplyDeleteI enjoy travelling in the summer, but I especially like going to Grand Beach, Manitoba. We stay in a cabin, relax on the beach and swim in the water. The best part is playing in the waves when it is windy! They feel just like the waves at WEM waterpark, except you get sand in your bathingsuit.
I hope you get to visit your family this summer.
