Recently the grade 5’s went on a field trip to Queen Mary Park for a chemistry field trip. When we got there we did a lot of chemistry based experiments. The first experiments we did were pretty cool. We put a bunch of stuff in a bag and it turned yellow and started to foam. I can’t remember what I put in the bag but the other grade 5’s might know.
My favourite experiment was when we put vinegar and baking soda in a bottle and then we put a balloon on top of the bottle and it started to inflate, it was very cool. After we made Silly Putty out of liquid borax powder and glue and food coloring. My color was red. But then shortly after I made it, it dried up.
There was a lot of other stations like the one where we would get to mix different objects to see if they would mix. Later we had lunch and then we got to play outside. Then we got go to other stations and then we went home.

I thought the field trip was really cool. I like doing experiments a lot. My favourite station was when we made the silly putty I think it was awesome because we got to take it home.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite field trip was when I went to the Bennett centre this year. It was about fur trading and First Nation people. We got to carry a canoe up a hill, that field trip was a lot fun mostly because we were singing Call Me Maybe and Twinkle Twinkle Little Star the whole way up.
I'm looking forward to going skiing because last year I didn't do very well by that I mean I was on the bunny hill the whole time but it still was fun. My favourite part last year was when I wiped out I don't know why I like it but it was fun.

When I went on the field trip I thought it was going to be something completely different. What I thought it would be something different like making things go BOOM!.
ReplyDeleteI thought the field trip was awesome and fun! I loved how we were allowed to actually make a mess and not get in trouble and how we got to create our own sticky putty.
My favourite station was the one where we got to make our own sticky putty. I liked it so much because my mom does not let me by it :(.
My favourite field trip was the trip in kinder garden when we got to go to our teachers house.
I liked it so much because I got to get a free slurpe and candy!.
I would love to go on a field trip to the seal habitat in west Edmonton mall.
I really liked the chemistry field trip and I also thought it was really cool. My favourite station was the one where you put out the candle without actually blowing.
ReplyDeleteMy favourite field trip was where we went to Rundle park on our bikes, because I love riding my bike so much. I love riding my bike, because it is so quiet that you can't even hear it.
The field trip I want to go to is West Edmonton Mall Water park, because I really love the toilet slide that is a slide that you spin sideways in a circle until you fall down into the water.
This field trip sounds really fun & I would definitely want to go there next year. Especially the balloon experiment.

ReplyDeleteMy favorite field trip was Snow Valley. It is so fun I really hate the lessons though. Like if you know how to snow board or ski why do you have to take lessons. Also they're too concerned with safety like you can't go on the hills you know you can ski/snowboard. It's like they are judging how good you are although they've never seen us in their lives. I mean its fun I just wish we could do what we want. I can already do a full front flip, but the lessons are all about toe turning

I have never been to the chemistry centre. It sounds so interesting because you get to mix stuff with stuff. I think it would be so fun if I could make silly putty. I can't wait to go next year to the chemistry centre.
ReplyDeleteMy absolute favourite field trip is to go swimming. The only bad thing about swimming is that you have to swim a lap to go to the deep end. I usually go to the deep end all the time, some times I hang out in the shallow end. Every body always hogs all the toys and don't let you have a turn.
The field trip I would like to go on is to the Zoo because you could design your own toys. You could also learn about the animals and how they live. Some people could see their favourite animal up close. Maybe you could even feed the animals.

ReplyDeleteI don't really have a favourite field trip I usually like them all. There is one that was really fun. It was in choir at the airport we got Timbits and hot chocolate and candy canes.
I'd like to go to West Ed mall swimming. I don't know why but I think it would so fun to go and swim with friends. But I think that people might get lost.

ReplyDeleteMy all time favourite field trip was in German kinder garden. We went to the farm. We did a whole bunch of things there and this is what we did first, our class went into a barn that had chickens, hens and bunnies. Next we went to another barn that had pigs we round up the cute little animals and then went for a recess and played at a park. Now we went to learn something that I have now forgot. Last we got to go for a hay ride then we went home on the bus. It was so fun!
For a field trip I would lie to go to Hawreluk park. I think that would be really fun.

No, I don't think your field trip is fun. All you do is make stuff with vinegar. When my brother was there he banged his head on metal and his head started bleeding so I will probably die there.

I never went there but I think it sounds fun. I think it sounds interesting. I would love to go there. Because I love chemistry and I think it is cool to mix stuff together.

ReplyDeleteMy favourite field trip is Prairie Gardens. I went in grade 3. My favourite part was when my group got lost in the maze.
I also liked the field trip in kinder garden when we went to a farm. On the bus ride there we hit a huge bump and it almost gave my mom a heart attack.
I don't know what I would like to go on in the future.

I always go snowboarding it is so fun! We always have a lesson and I hate the lessons. I love going snowboarding. I don't ski any more its ok but I HATE IT.
I would like to go to West Edmonton Mall. The water park there is very nice. I think it will be so fun. I love to go there. But there are a lot of people.

My favourite field trip is when we went swimming at Hardisty. It was fun! Maddie was too scared to go in the deep end. Then I forced her into the deep end. Then me and Viktorya had a race and Viktorya won but we had another race and I won.

This field trip does sound very interesting. I my self would like to go but I am not going to be here next because over the summer I moved to LEDUC. And my mom promised to let me stay at my school for one because I did not know that I would move in the middle of the year.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite field trip ever was when we went to build a bear. It was so awesome we got to make our own bear and get clothing and bows for it.
If I could go on any field trip it would be to go to West Edmonton Mall water park. Because it would be really fun and I love the water slides

I loved the chemistry field trip. My favourite station was the station where you examine three eggs. They have all been in vinegar for different amounts of time.

The field trip that I would to go on is the ski trip. I have never went to snow valley before but I would probably like to.

I have never been on this field trip , but it sounds interesting and I would like to go next totally. I like chemistry even though some times it does not make sense. There is this game that is called little alchemy and it is chemistry.

I would like to go to the telus world of science. Because I want to watch a movie, usually they are pretty good. Also the machines upstairs are pretty cool.

ReplyDeleteI think the field trip was cool we got to light a match on fire put on the candle made a fire extinguisher on took out. We also made Silly Putty we made it with hot water, borax, glue and food colouring.

I hated that field trip it was one of the worst field trips I have ever been on the only thing that could make it better was if you could mix rat poison mold stuff like that would make it the best field trip in the world that was the most boaring field trip ever and I have been on some boaring field trips.
