Have you ever considered that playing video-games on a +30 no-cloud day is a waste of time? If you have then you're right. Why not go outside and play tag or something like that?
Did you know that whoever created video-games invented them for rainy days? I usually play video-games on rainy days but a lot more in the winter because there is basically no “sunny days” in the winter. But in the summer I like to spend time riding my skateboard or my bicycle because there’s so much time to play video-games in the winter. You know what? There's no doubt that whoever created Pong meant it for entertainment, but probably only for days when you can’t play outside and enjoy the sunny day.
I would appreciate it if you consider this message.
Here are some ideas for summertime: jump-rope, ride a bike, skateboard or scooter, play tag, play hide-and go-seek and other productive games. Here are some ideas for wintertime: tobogganing, build a snowman, ride a snowboard, skis or any other outside games.
I just want you to think about what's said here because I value it as lesson and I want you do so as well because it really is a valuable lesson.

ReplyDeleteI completely agree with you that video games are for days when there is nothing better to do. When I was a child and didn't have video games or the Internet, our choice WAS to play outside. It was great! We rode our bikes in the fresh air, built forts during winter time and went to the local park. Also, when we weren't outside playing, I usually chose to read a book.
I admit I am on the Internet ALL THE TIME! I watch Youtube videos, go online shopping and play silly games. They ARE a waste of time but I enjoy them. What did we use to do before the invention of the Internet?
I think children's time on the computer and video games SHOULD be restricted. Adults' time should also be restricted. Did you know that it's bad for your eyes to constantly stare at a screen? Experts say that you should look away every 20 minutes to give your eyes a rest.
I've always told myself that I should stay away from the computer when I am at home. I'm still trying.
I'M ADDICTED. PLEASE HELP.

I completely agree with your post because there is lots of other stuff to do then playing video games. I only play video games 1 hour a day, and 1 hour of television in the morning. On my hour for video games I play games on my tablet or on my Wii. I think my video game time should go down to half an hour a day because if you are playing video games can hurt your eyes and make you dumb.

ReplyDeleteThe time that I play on video games are mostly from 4-7 hours until I faint of looking at screens all day. I will normally play video games 5 days a week, 1 day for cleaning and one day for going outside! The other thing is that usually my whole family is on a phone, ipod,computer or a console! I will be honest I do play video games too much that it soaked into my brain of things to do!
I disagree but also agree with having my video game time taken away a little bit but I also love playing video games so I do not really care if my video time was extended but I would be happy to lose about 1 and half hours or 2 hours or 3 or 4 but not 5 but I think that it would be better for me and my brain!

I play my Xbox almost every day and I have not been playing on my tablet so much as I have on my Xbox. Some times I just go on the internet to watch YouTube on my tablet. I try to give my self a certain amount of time on my video games.

I do agree that some children are playing video games like 24/7 and they should spend more time outside. But what I disagree is that The Wither is taking all of this WAY too seriosly and personaly. I totally LOVE VIDEO GAMES BECAUSE THEY ARE AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Like you have told me that you LOVE Minecraft so you stair at a screen for 1 hour. When it is too cold to play outside I usually just play with Shopkins until it warms up and when it does I play outside or go to my nabers house.

ReplyDeleteI don't play video games alot because my computer is borking and I play most of my video games with my sister. If my computer was working I would play on it for an hour or two, but if I was playing with my sister it would be until we start fighting.
My video game time should not be restricted because I don't look up really bad
things. In the summer I like to is to go Disneyland or Disney world (I will also take it in any day or seson), have a picknick, play in the backyard, watch tv and play with my toys. In the winter I like to go sleading and siking, play video games, "paint the snow"and build a snowman/snow fort.

That's a really good way to put it, the big D. There is a difference between the real world and the fake world of video games, and the real world will last much longer.
DeleteI don't mind people playing video games, but I think it needs to be balanced with real-life interactions with real people. One thing I enjoy doing is playing games with friends. We eat snacks and play a game and laugh a lot. This kind of real-life interaction fills my tank and makes me happy.

Okay so with this post I agree and disagree. I think my mom should limit me to my time on video games and the PC but the reason I also disagree is because it would be SUPER HARD trying to only play like 1 hour or 30 min It would be espeically hard when my friends come over because usually all we do is play video games all day like Rayman Legends and MineCraft and Lego Batman and Cookie Clickers, the most addictive game in the entire force of the universe, and stuff like that.

It sounds weird but hey, I got to have a little self defence! What I do on the internet is watch YouTube, go on Mostfungames (there's actaully no spaces in, it its a gaming website ), surf the web, play ClubPenguin and play a bunch of other games and gaming websites and stuff.

Well, The Wither, I agree that video games can be a waste of time. when it's raining or you're snowed in or something like that, you can play a board game instead. However, I think people should play less video games because we're always connected! If someone is board, they can talk to their parents or brothers or sisters, or something like that. ReplyDeleteI do not get very much screen time, about 20-30 minutes per day. But when I am playing, I always only play 3 games, The Sims, Subway Surfer, and this practice your German game, called Duolingo.

I completely agree that video games and lots of screan time is bad for you. But I still think we should have some time with screan time. Why you ask, because if you have like tons of time on screans we become lazy and addicted to it but if have just 2 hours a day that is much better.
ReplyDeleteOn school days I spend about 2 hours with my ipod. However on non-school days I spend about 4 hours on my ipod. I am usually on my games such as '' The Simpons Tapped Out '', '' Sims Freeplay '' and my food games. Other stuff includes Youtube and my selfie obsessen on my camera.
I agree with most parents that kids should have restrictions between 4 to 2 hours a day. Because like I said erliar you get lazy and addicted. No effence to people that play lots of video games I am just saying you should restrict your time.
