Running

I love running because it is very fun.  I usually run for fun but sometimes for competitive. 

Last Saturday I ran a race for a church, well it was not just me, it was my cousin Arielle, my mom, my sister and last but not least, my aunty.  It was very fantastic.  Me, my mom and Arielle, ran 5 km! Well we didn't run it all, we ran, walked, ran, walked. It was very tiring we ran most of it.  My sister and my aunty walked the 3 km.  My time for the 5 km run was around 45 minutes.  

I also ran for the school Running club which was also very exciting.  At first I did not want to do it but then my friend, the big puppy, insisted me to do it, so I did.  It was very cool because me and the big puppy got to pass the baton to each other during the relay race. Well, I passed the baton to her.  I think next year I will do it again.

  1. Great post about running!

    I've heard over and over about runners reaching that point where they get a "second wind" and they get extra energy to continue on running. The only thing I've hit when I'm running is a brick wall (well, not literally). It doesn't take me very long until I can't breathe and I just want to lie down and not move my body for a long while. That's right, I'm still waiting for that "second wind."

    In my Crossfit classes, we are currently learning how to run properly by doing an exercise called the Figure 4 or Pose Drill. Apparently, when running, your leg is supposed to resemble the number four when taking a stride. It's because of humanity's need for shoes that many people run incorrectly where they land on their heel as opposed to the balls of their feet. I've been practicing for weeks now and I still don't know how to do it properly. It feels like I'm a fairy when I try to run using the Figure 4 or Pose Drill.

    If I had the chance and the time, I would get my student to do R.A.C (Running Across Canada) EVERYDAY!

  2. I think that running is good for you but I absolutely HATE it. I know it is good for your health, and I like that we get some exercise by running, I just hate it because it makes my legs hurt sometimes.

    I think that R.A.C is a good thing for schools to do, that way, students get some "blood pumping" every second day. I would like to make a suggestion, though. do not allow kids to walk during R.A.C! It is just lazy if everyone walks! They should AT LEAST have to run half of the way! But all of it would be better!!! (By the way, R.A.C stands for Running Across Canada).

    My favourite sport is swimming, I do not know why...

  3. I hate running! It's horrible. It's not fun at all! All it is walking very fast and getting tired. I know, I know, it keeps you fit but I HATE it! R.A.C (R.A.C stands for Running Across Canada) just makes running worse.

    R.A.C feels like torture running around the school! I like swimming the best the water lifts you up well I thinks its easy.

  4. I hate running I wish we didn't have to do it because I suck at running. I hate R.A.C (Running across Canada) because I'm usually almost last.

    I hate any kind of sport and I never play sports outside of school.

  5. I think running is ok but for me its not my best subject. We should keep running because we need to stay fit. Some students don't like R.A.C because sometimes you get the cramps and your legs start to hurt but its good exercise.

    I think R.A.C is fine because EVERYONE needs to exercise and it's good for you.

    The sports I like is swimming and I also like kick-ball. My least favourite is base-ball because I'd just fall... a lot.

    That is way you should run. I love doing R.A.C. R.A.C stands for Running Across Canada. I like R.A.C. because it is fun!!

  7. I think running is the worst thing ever. Running shouldn't have been invented at the time. We should not keep on running because its a waste of time. The reason I hate running is because whenever I run at home I fall and scrape my knee.

    I think R.A.C. (Running Across Canada) is dumb and I hate exercise because I'm very very very very bad at running.

    I like soccer, baseball, basketball and badminton.

  8. Well I think that running is ok. I have been playing soccer for 7 years straight now that incorporates a lot of running!

    I think that most of the bloggers will say this but R.A.C. stands for running, around, Canada. I don't like doing RAC at ALL! I only like running small distances. But not to brag but I am pretty fast.

  9. Great post ! My Mom always make me run and jog everyday but it is ok for me since I just go slow. Anyways running is fun because you get fit and healthy. We really should keep it up. Running Across Canada is pretty good because you get to run across Canada.

    Some of my other sporting activity that I like is soccer and hockey oh and also swimming. Running is really cool and fun.

  10. What I think about running is that it is good for our bodies and it is healthy for us. I think we should keep it up because it is a good exercise for us and it is what keeps our bodies healthy and good food not junk food or candy.

    What I think about R.A.C (Running Across Canada) is that it may seem boring and some people hate it it is really good for our muscles. Sometimes it is competitive and sometimes it is fun. I LOVE R.A.C even though it hurts my legs it is FUN and I don't think it should be that long though I think for the grade 4's it should be a 3 quarters around the school G 5's lap and 3 quarters G 6's 2 laps and 3 quarters.

    More sports I enjoy are...

    1.soccer
    2.swimming
    and those are some things that I enjoy that are outside sports and they are so FUN
    and I LOVE THEM!!!!!!

  11. I find running VERY fun. Sometimes I don't really like running. Here are some reasons why:
    1. you feel sick
    2. you can get your neck and your back to hurt
    3. you can really run out of air

    R.A.C I more like the inside R.A.C. because it is more easy and fun. Outside R.A.C is really tiring. Well running is important and R.A.C stands for running across canada.

  12. I love running!! Because every time I run I know that I am getting faster by the moment! (thats not lots but still its something) Every day I go running with my older sister and me and we run at least 3-5 miles per day it is exhausting but we still get a workout from it!

    What I think about R.A.C. is that it is very good for you because you get a day without rac and then a day with rac then a day without rac then so on and so on. My favourite type of rac is outdoors beacuse it does take less time and you are getting a nice breeze when you are running. By the way rac stands for Running Across Canada if you did not know that. We do rac every Tuesday and Thursday.

    My favourite sport to do IN the summer is soccer and in the winter I like to play hockey! My favourite activity inside is to play video games.

  13. I don't like running AT ALL! The only problem is that running is really good for you! I wish it would be bad for you, but it's not! ARRRRRGH! If it was bad for you, I would try to make everyone change their minds about it and make them want to stop.

    I don't like R.A.C. either! Sometimes I just want to purposely be late on every Tuesday and Thursday, so I don't have to do R.A.C.! I'm late enough!

    My favorite sport has always been soccer. I don't really know why...

  14. Running's just my thing. I can't live without it! :( We should keep it up because, it's awesome! It's an ability everyone should have, because running is just exercise, and an amazing sport!

    My class does R.A.C.(Running Across Canada), for health, and exercise. We do it every Tuesday, and Thursday. For when it's not cold, wet, or snow on the ground, we do Indoor R.A.C., but if it's sunny and warm outside (like this week, month), we do Outdoor R.A.C. I LOVE R.A.C., BUT HATE R.A.C.!!! Sooo weird:) R.A.C. is fun.

    I do school activities, like Cross- Country, and Running Club. When I did Cross-Country, I was the only person in my class who did it! I did 4 races. When I did Running Club, for my first race, girl team B lost, and we got kicked out, and couldn't race anymore.

  15. I like running on free time but not in school or when people are watching. R.A.C is the worst. Rac is Running Across Canada. Running is hard because I have asthma. When I run I need soccer shoes its the only shoes that feel good. And no I do not want to keep running at school.

    RAC sucks. Its its just BADDDD! I don't like itttttt! (RAC DIE IN A FIRE PLEASE)
    Thats all I have to say about rac!

  16. Running is so boring I hate running. I think running should have never been invented in the world. When I have to do R.A.C I never like doing it, my sister was in grade six and she had to do R.A.C. I was making fun of her when she told me about R.A.C but then she told me that when I get to DIV 2 I would have to do R.A.C to every Tuesday and Thursday. Now I was terrfied of grade four mornings.

    I have a few other sports that I enjoy playing and doing in fact I have a list:
    1.hockey
    2.golf
    3.football
    4.darts
    5.I can`t think of the other one sorry:|

  17. I love running because it gives you a lot of exercise. If you are slow it's best to run a lot so your legs can get stronger.

    I like R.A.C. because I get a lot of exercise and my legs get stronger. I think it is good to do R.A.C. because soon your legs will get so strong and you can join running club.

    Other sports I like are soccer and baseball.

  18. I love running. I like to run because it gets your legs moving. I also really love to run because people these days take advantage of their legs and just think of the people with no legs they can't run. And I bet you that the children and adult's that don't have any legs get up and move more then some people in this world. For what I have seen children play hockey, have wheel chair races.

    In our school we have something called R.A.C. we do this every Tuesday and Thursday. R.A.C. means running across Canada. This exercise is where we run 1-2 laps around the school. I enjoy R.A.C. alot I think it is good that our school is getting the kids up and running even the kids that don't run too much or exercise at home or at after school activities.

    My favourite sport is soccer. I am not on a team this year but my father, brother and I love to play together. I also enjoy to play with some of my friends.

  19. I absolutely LOOOOOVE running. Every year, sometime in July I do ColourMeRad, which is a 5k race and at some points in the race, people on the side of the track will throw colour bombs at you. It's super fun! Everybody in the Universe should run daily (my my opinion) Because then you'll be super fit and none will ever be fat, lazy or tired again!

    I like to do R.A.C. It's fun! Here's what I think we should do for R.A.C.:
    Everybody does three laps! That would be fun too! If only everybody was a runner...

    Some sporting activities I like are:
    1.Baseball
    2.Fencing
    3.Basketball
    4.Ringette
    5.Running

    Some sporting activities I really, really, REALLY hate:
    1.Soccer
    2.Hockey
    3.Football
    4.Rugby
    5.Kickball

    I really like sports. Except for the bad ones.

What I think about running is that well it is fun when you are playing a game but running outside of the fence and it is like one million meters long but when you have to go for the last time there is no going back save your life. What I am saying is that you have to run and even if your sides hurt you can't stop and take a breath because there just like "come on Charizard get your butty over here" and like I need to take a breath but when you sit down it hurts even more.

    I have got say that I hate RAC because when it is Tuesday and Thursday and I'm just like "Oh come on it's Tuesday man I wish someone could just kill me so I don't have to suffer Rac" and yes that is how I feel about RAC is that like a thing to make us suffer.

    I like to do fencing and swimming because it is fun to do.

  21. I like running but I get a cramp a lot of times. I sort of like R.A.C. I like indoor R.A.C but I HATE outdoor R.A.C.

  22. I love running because I am a fast runner and a long runner. I think we should keep it up because you should exercise more and stay fit it is good for you.

    I like R.A.C. because I like to run a lot and I am good at R.A.C. I think my best time was 3:29 I was almost sprinting the whole time.

    I really like soccer because I really like to run a lot and cheer on other people.

  23. I think running is very AWESOME. I like running because it keeps you fit and it is very fun. I run a lot for fun or for competition. Running is very fun and awesome. I think that running is very good for you and you should do running more often.

    R.A.C (AKA running across canada) I think people should do more often because it keeps you fit and if you like running you can do more than one lap or one and a half laps I would like to run more laps because I like running but I run out of breath really easy and get cramps really easy.

    I play hockey and that is an enjoyable sport for me and I also play soccer in my spare time and a bunch of other sports.

  25. I think running is very fun. I think running is healthy for your body because it keeps you fit. I think RAC is good for the human body because your body needs exercise or you won't feel good.

    (SOCCER!!!!!!!) Soccer is my favorite sport because you can dribble the ball past the soccer players and shoot a goal on net.

  26. First of all I like and hate running. I like running because its good exercise and I don't like it because sometimes its tiring. Yes I do think it is something ALL of us should keep up because in a kids life, that's one of the best exercises. The reason of that is because we can't lift weights or use tread mill things or use all those fancy exercise machine things! Well we can swim, play outside and stuff! But running of all is one of the best!

    I dislike R.A.C (running across Canada, where we run one lap around the whole school if you're in grade four, 1/2 if you're in grade five and if you're in grade six you do two laps.). Its tiring and i'm only doing one lap!

    My favourite sports include: 1.swimming 2. fishing with my grandpa and uncle and sisters and cousins. 3. soccer 4. other things that I can't remember.

  27. I like running occasionally but not every day. But I have to run at least twice a week. It is something we need to keep up to build muscle in your leg and keep fit so you are not overweight.

    I think R.A.C (Running Across Canada) is good to keep students active and it is a chance to stretch our legs.

    Other sports that I find enjoyable are: gymnastics, dance, dodgeball, skiing, swimming and rock climbing.

  28. I don't like running because it is a lot of work. I get enough exercise because my brother and my dog chases me a lot. It is an annoying experience. I hate it a lot because I have to run around a school it is so annoying.

    I love to run! It took me a while to find a way to get past the wall and find my second wind, but now that I know how to do it, I love to run a long way.

    Running, or any kind of exercise, does your body good. When I compare how I feel now with how I felt 5 years ago before I started to exercise regularly, I am amazed at how much more energy I have.

    The other good thing about running (and other sports, too) is the 'runner's high' you get when you've pushed yourself. The last time I ran, I wanted to keep on running, because it felt so good.
