Parents

Have you ever wondered why parents do and say all this stuff that makes no sense? I have. It all seems very random! For example, what does it mean when parents say, “An apple a day keeps the docter away!” The only way that an apple can keep the doctor away is if it can block his door, which will not happen.

Another weird thing about parents is their craving for coffee! (Ok, even people who are not parents drink coffee, and some parents don’t drink coffee, but I’m talking about the ones who do)!  Every morning, my mom needs a cup of coffee to transform herself from a zombie/vampire into a butterfly that can barf up rainbows. Kind of like coffee is the key to her momamorphasis. It’s weird.

Sometimes my mom does make some sense! Like when she said, “Like water and a duck’s back, you must not  let other people’s insults get into you.” She’s so wise.  Then there’s the times when she says something totally bizzare, like “This song reminds me of cherry doughnuts!” or “DRIVE, MAN, DRIVE!!! @&$%*!!!! PHLWAAAAAA!!!”
It’s so strange.
What weird and wise things do your parents say? Do you know what they mean? Do they love coffee?

  1. My dad does not do any weird things in the morning because he`s not very mad when he wakes up. But the only thing he does is play on his phone a lot and I mean a lot!

My dad kind of transforms to happy from mad in the morning after he has his coffee. He has about two cups before he goes to work, but he also takes one in his truck to go.

My dad always says keep your hands to your self and it is really annoying, but I know he`s right when he does say it.

  2. Parents can be parents. They can be thoughtful giving but at other times it's just like '''GO CLEAN YOUR ROOM!!!!!!'' Ahhhhhhhhhhh it's so annoying.

In my opinion my parents aren't that strange. I mean sometimes but not all the time. Yes my mom does sometimes does you know, road rage. But definitely not my dad, not in 100000 years!

My parents never drink coffee, well I have never seen them drink it. But I sure have seen my mom drink ice caps from ''Timmies''. My dad really only drinks Coke and Ice Tea (They're the best. Just sayin')

The one and only phrase my mom says to me is... ''Sweetie can you bring ______down to the freezer please?''

  3. My mom acts sort of weird in the morning because she is tired. My dad gets up at like 6 in the morning and makes 8 FREAKIN CUPS OF COFFEE! My mom eats two slices of bread with peanut butter and 4 FREAKIN CUPS OF COFFEE! My dad usually eats cereal and 4 FREAKIN CUPS OF COFFEE! LIKE WHO DRINKS THAT MUCH COFFEE IN THE MORNING!

My parents NEED coffee to start their day even on Saturdays and Sundays! They transform from tired zombie to happy/loving/awesome parents that each spread a smile on your face.

A really annoying thing that my dad answers to my question of "What time is it?" and my dad answers "Time you get a watch.". IT IS SO ANNOYING!!!!!!!!!!!:0
But both of my parents say things like "Clean your room" and "Be careful honey"!

  4. My mom is all crazy. She gets mad at the smallest things EVER. But mostly my grandma. This morning she was a fire breathing dragon werewolf beast demon. My mom on the other hand was surprisingly nice and not a fire breathing dragon werewolf beast demon like she usually is in the morning but a little bit nicer.

My mom does not drink coffee in the morning or at all but usually when I get home from school she is transformed into a angel ballerina that poops out food and whatever you want and whenever you want. But my grandma turns into the same thing but nicer a bit until supper time then she gets so mad and she starts swearing like crazy.

My mom never uses any phrases on me not a single one. Neither does any of my family...... That I know of.. DAUN DAUN DAAAAAUUUUUN (that was a dramatic effect).

My grandma drinks coffee in the morning but I think it makes her worse.

  5. My parents act like they need coffee to keep their hearts beating. Whenever I wake up from my beauty sleep they are drinking coffee. If coffee wasn't invented my parents would disown me. I'm always awake by 4:00 and by that time my parents would be drinking coffee.

After my parents drink coffee they float like a butterfly but if they don't drink coffee they sting like a gigantic bee. What im trying to say that they always transform from a zombie to a butterfly.

My parents always use the phrase" an apple a day keeps the doctor away" and they always say get out the way you #### when someone cuts them off on the way to school.

    Good Bye :-)

  6. My mom is pretty weird but not as weird as ediblepaper's mom! When my mom is in a good mood on Saturday and Sunday she does REALLY STRANGE out of style dance moves while dancing to "Johnny Cash" or " Bob Marley". When she's in a bad mood all she does is lay down, sleep or ask me to clean and stuff. My mom transforms from a bear that hasn't eaten for a week and just got hit in the face by fish and is soaking wet tooooooooooo....... a human being when she drinks Coffee. Heres a example, Before her Coffee: "FATBLOCKOFCHEESE, WATCH YOUR LITTLE BROTHER WHILE I SLEEP! AND DON'T GET THE LIVING ROOM MESSY!!!!!!" After Coffee and muffin ": Thanks for Watching your little brother, fatblockofcheese, I'll go make us some omelets, eggs, toast and juice! Oh and after would you like to go to the park and get slurpees?". See what I mean? Also my mom swears sometimes when she drives. Like "HEY! HE CUT ME OFF!!!! OUTTA THE WAY #%@&^%@*!!!! I CAN HONK A HORN TOO! HONK HONK #%$$%!!!"

I also used to have a nickname! Its kind of embarrassing but is Bookabunny. Yep thats right BOOKABUNNY! My mom doesn't really have a a thing that she says to me but she always says to clean and be kind and whatever.

  7. Well I think my parents are not so strange so I think they're ok. My step dad is just mysterious because he goes on his phone and then my mom gets all mad and starts a fight and when I am at home it is not so home sweet home its more like home sweet fight.

Well my mom does not have time to have a coffee since we live in Ormsby/Calling wood and when I go over to my grandmas house she doesn't like coffee and she has a coffee machine but when my papa has a coffee he turns from a strict teacher in to a well a less strict teacher.

What my mom says to me is what you would know but it is "When you got to go you got to go"and that is my mom's saying. But why can't it be like "When you got to just go and don't say anything" or how about "Keep calm and go number 2 and after that there will be rainbows.

  8. My dad ALWAYS drinks coffee like every day! When he dos not drink coffee he is like a fire breathing DAD, and when he does drink coffee he is like a nice pink fluffy DAD. P.S that is a good thing!

  9. Sometimes my parents act strangely. Once they were both really zombie-ish and then I went to the washroom and when I came out, they were both beaming like mad! I thought that was weird. Sometimes my mom says my room looks like a tornado hit, and then next second she says it looks like heaven. Hm.

My parents do not drink coffee, but they drink Cali tea which is really good for you. they also drink Fortune Delight, which has only an invisible smidge of caffeine in it.

I can't actually think of any phrases my parents say apart from my room being a tornado hit. I don't know why, though.

  10. My mom says a lot of silly things like chicky poo. What does chicky poo mean like? She also spells word that don't exist. But I'm going to let a secret. If my mom's boyfriend doesn't get coffee he will turn into a beast.

  11. No my parents are not weird. They do like coffee but that's it. My mom just wakes up more but just a bit and the only phrase my dad uses is "My brother stinks me too and my sister screams but my mom is always wise."

  12. My parents are very weird. They do all kinds of crazy and hilarious stuff. My mom drinks a lot of tea most of the night. My dad doesn't really do anything but one thing that is very random, every time we have soup he gets a cup and puts the soup in it, its pretty strange. It is also very embarrassing for me. I don't really know if they do transform into some crazy creature, but I don't think they do it. They do drink a lot of coffee.

This is my mom's phrase: Go on and wash the dishes or clean the floor. My dad's phrase is: Watch out for the cars or be careful.

    My parents are often strange.

  13. Uhhh I feel like I should not tell but whatever yes my parents do act weird all day round. The weird things my parents do is that they do weird voices and they act like I am a bird they say "polly wanna cracker *weird laughs*-_-." And they always says go lick the ground or something or go buy a range rover or something like that.

Weirdly enough my mom will drink coffee in the morning and she will be happy but my dad when he drinks coffee in the morning he needs it to be perfect or he will normally get frustrated about it. Sometimes my older sister will drink coffee in the morning and she will act all nice and clean the house and all that. The first time I tried coffee I liked it but then 30 minutes later I was throwing up for about ten minutes. My family Is just weird. The phrase my mother always always uses is "Watch out for strangers hun!" SHE IS JUST WEIRD! My dad just says "Have a good day." I like my dad.

  14. Now I know why I am so crazy. Both my mom and my dad LOVE coffee. In the morning my dad drinks like 3 BIG mugs of coffee. My mom always says clean your room or my dad will say keep your hands to yourself. When my mom does not get her morning coffee she is like a evil blood sucking vampire NOT she just REALLY needs her coffee in the morning like REALLY needs her coffee.

My dad is usually in a good mood around me. Other then the times when he falls asleep when we are watching a movie and you wake him up. Then he is like a devil. Well sorta (P.S I am only saying this because I don't want them to know because if they do I AM DEAD MEAT!!!) And then when they drink their coffee they are like angels.

And sometimes when they drive they are like DUDE MOVE @!!#$%$!!! *&&^%$!!!
MY dad calls me monkey or trouble maker. It is weird.

  15. Nope, I have no strange parents. I wonder why, but it's probably because of the not none disease such as the... "none-strange-parents". They don't act strange at all (unlike some parents). But my parents do drink coffee, or get angry when I or my siblings do something bad. But then my dad, he tickles me, but wherever that came from, it does NOT feel good, it feels like iIm going to die any second if he doesn't stop.

I don't know? I never see my parents drink coffee in the morning, unless it's the weekend at like 9 or 10 in the morning. But no. My parents don't transform, after drinking coffee, or do they, because I don't know(daw naw naw).

My parents use a few phases, such as:

    "Clean your Room"
"Clean the toys in your Room"
"Clean the toys in the Kitchen"
"Put the Milk back in the Fridge"
    "Put the Bread back up"
"Come on, you can do it, you can do it... YES" or
"Come on, you can do it, you can do it... NOOOOOOOOO"
"Go get him before he falls"
"****(so and so) IS ON THE XBOX"(my sibling says that)
    "Grab IT" and
    "GO TO BED"

    So much phases!

  17. My parents don't do strange things, or transform after a morning coffee. My parents have some phrases on me like when I am slow my dad calls me molasses and when I am fast he calls me water.

  18. My mom does act strange and the strange thing that she does it when she is stressed out for some reason she yells out '' MOTHER, FATHER, SISTER, BROTHER'' for some strange reason.

My mom does not transform after morning coffee but she does act more strict so I guess she is a warewolf.

All the time my mom calls me '' Doll", like '' Hi doll'' its so strange. I don't know why she calls me that because I do not look like a doll.

  19. No I do not have parents that act strangely they are perfectly. They do not do anything strangely around me but I really like the way they are.

YES my mom changed after her morning coffee even though I only see her drink coffee at the afternoon or on Saturday in the morning.

My parents always say to me be safe be normal and do not be crazy and it is so annoying to me but not so much anymore because I heard that like every day by my parents.

  20. No my parents are not weird.

My granny needs coffee every day if my granny does not have her coffee she is a weirdo. Her favourite phrase is Be careful.

  21. My parents are cool and sometimes mean. What I think is weird abouts my parents are that they sleep in the a room that I like to call the black hole because when you put something in it the thing goes missing!

My Dad is the only one that drinks coffee but nothing happens. He stays the same he is always a friendly zombie.

I would tell more but it would get weird.

  24. Great post, ediblepaper!

    I don't drink coffee, I drink tea. I'd like to think that I don't need tea in order to function like a human being, but you'd have to ask my family about that. :}

    Have a great summer, all!
