On New Year’s Eve, I went downtown to see the fireworks there. I was so excited it was going to be 2016 after 12:00 a.m. There was a huge ice place to skate on but because I didn't know how to skate, there was little chairs there that you could take on the skating rink. You could sit down on them and someone else could push you.
I went there with my family and my friend Yalda. We went there at 9:00 p.m. Me and my friend went there and took turns to sit on the chair and skate. I saw my other friend from my school, Purple Tacos. She had skates on. Me and Yalda chased her on the skating rink a lot.
There was a station there where somebody paints your face and there was a long table full of craft supplies and we could make crafts with them. After two hours the fireworks were about to start and we went to the front.
There was a billion people there and police in case anything went wrong.
We counted down from 10 to 0. The fireworks went off in the sky! Bam! Boom! It was beautiful and wonderful. It was ten minutes long and I really enjoyed the fireworks.
We didn't bring our car because there is no parking place so we took the bus when we went there. Now that we're going home we still needed to take the bus. On the way home, me and my grandpa played all the way home in the bus.
I was sooo tired! It was 1:00 a.m. and me and my friend had a sleepover that night and now it is 2016!!!!!
Have you ever gone downtown to see the fireworks and was it good? Who did you go with and why did you go there? What did you do before the fireworks started?

Great topic, Cupcake Girl!
ReplyDeleteTo be honest, for the past few years I have gone to bed BEFORE midnight! I just can't quite seem to stay up until 12:00 a.m.
This New Year's Eve, my husband was at a house party and I elected to stay at home. I watched a little T.V. and then went to bed at around 9:30 p.m.
It's not always been that way where I'm asleep before midnight.
One year I spent New Year's Eve in Times Square in New York City where they drop the giant ball. We couldn't really see the ball drop though because we didn't arrive in time. There were a ton of people there. Another year I spent New Year's Eve in Paris camped in front of the Eiffel Tower. The city lights up the Tower in red, white and blue - the colours of the French flag. There were also a lot of people there.
Lastly, I have also spent New Year's Eve in downtown Edmonton to watch the fireworks. However, after spending time in more glamorous locations, Edmonton just doesn't seem as fun.

I stayed up till 1:30 am on New Year`s Eve. My usual bedtime is 10:00 pm. This was my best New Year's because my grandma and grandpa were there with me.

On New Years Eve I played video games and I played Battle Block Theatre.
ReplyDeleteI did not go to the Downtown and did not see any fireworks. We don't go see the fireworks because my dad doesn't like to.
I stayed up until 2:00 in the morning and my usual bedtime is 10:00 p.m.
This was the worst NEW YEAR'S EVE ever. Then my dad came home and I was so happy.
I barely saw my dad this holiday because his dad died.

On New Year's Eve I was sick and I was in Calgary lying on a couch at my moms friends house watching all of the Jurassic Parks.
ReplyDeleteI did not go see any fireworks because I was sick. Normally I would go see the fireworks.
On New Year's Eve I do not know what time I went to bed at. My usual bedtime is at 8:30 p.m.

On New Year's Eve I stayed home and enjoyed the party on New Year's. We played and my friend got an idea to make noise and we make noisey instrument because every new year all Filipino/Pinoy around the world make noise.
ReplyDeleteNo we did not watch the fireworks because we are late. It was sad but I enjoyed staying home rather than go out in the cold.
I think that fireworks a bloom of wonder.
We stayed up until 12:00 am. But my actual bedtime is 9:50 p.m.

On New Year's Eve I went to go see the Star Wars movie and we got back at 11:00 p.m. On our way back home we saw this really bright green comet that passed by our car. When we got home we all had supper and went to bed.
ReplyDeleteI was the only to watch the fireworks because everyone was asleep and it was 12:00 a.m. I saw it from the saftey of my house. The reason why we never see the fireworks is because my brother is really fussy and he dosnet stand in a spot and he just is really sick at this time of the year.
I stayed up till 2:00 a.m. because it was so warm in my living room that I had to put a bunch of water on my blanket but that didnt help so I went to take a shower with cold water but it didnt work either so I just suffered. I dont really have a actual bedtime but I have to be in bed by ten. The reason why I dont have a real bedtime is because I get really mad and then I eat supper again so I cant go to sleep. Also because I hate to go to bed and when I wake in the morning I never wake up.

This year on New Year's Eve I stayed up till midnight watching movies like... Paper Towns, Fantastic 4, Ant Man, Tomorrowland, and then when the movies were over everyone went to bed except me and my sister. After a little while she told me to go to bed, then she went downstairs. I went in my room and played on my phone till 2:00 a.m.
ReplyDeleteThis year on New Year's Eve we did not go out to see the fireworks because my parents went out for dinner. I have gone to the fireworks before and I can onistly say I think they were better last year if what I heard from Purple Tacos is true.
I stayed up till 2:00 a.m. on New Year's Eve and my usual bedtime is 9:00 (by that I mean when my parents want me to be in bed ), but I'm usually in bed by 9:30 p.m.

On New Year's Eve at 12:00 a.m., me,my mom and dad picked up my friend because we were having a sleepover at my mom's friends house. At my mom's friend house there was a cat, kitty and a dog. The cat I knew for a loooong time. Me and my friend went to put mom's friends baby to sleep at 5:30 p.m. so we don't have to watch him. For one hour we played Minecraft. It is 9:00 p.m. and I am soo excited. I face painted two faces: my mom and mom's friend's 4 year old. At 11:59 p.m.,we counted down to 10 to 0.
ReplyDeleteI don't watch the fireworks but I think it was beautiful if I watch.
I stay up to 12:00 a.m. and my bedtime is 8:30 p.m. but I am awake reading until 9:00 p.m.

I went to my Auntie's house for New Year's. My auntie has two boys and one more boy coming. So I have to take care of them for the night when they go and play a game that is not for kids. It was so much fun there but me and my mom had to go early because my mom didnt want to drive at night.
ReplyDeleteI dont go and see the fireworks because me and my mom went to my auntie's. But I went to them when I was 7 or 6. I like fireworks because they look cool.
I stayed up to 1:30 a.m. because I want to do that.

1. What did you do on New Years Eve? Describe.
ReplyDeleteOn New Years Eve I went downtown to see the fireworks. I went skating with my dad but my brother and sister and her friend did not want to skate because they said it is too hard to skate in the cold. I saw cupcake girl there and her friend and I was skating so fast and they were pushing a chair into me. When my dad took my skates off in the end my feet hurt so bad. I liked when I was skating and I did not have to stand in the cold.
2.Did you watch any fireworks downtown? What did you think?
Yes, I did. I think they were a little boring. Some were cool though.
3.What time did you stay up until and what is your usual bedtime?
I stayed up till 1:00 a.m. skating and got home about 2:00 a.m. I went right to bed.
