With only seven more days of school left, many students are excitedly looking forward to summer holidays. We will have almost nine weeks of vacation this year! A lot of the time when asked what kids are going to do over the summer, many answers are "Nothing!" Surely this is not the case. Even if you are not going anywhere and just staying at home, you can use phrases such as "relaxing at home," or "enjoying the hot summer sun in my backyard."
I have not yet decided what I'm doing this summer yet. My husband and I are planning a small trip to Toronto to watch the Blue Jays play baseball as well as to visit Niagara Falls. We might also take a quick trip to Las Vegas.
I challenge my students to describe their summer plans using words and phrases that are interesting and thought-provoking. Even if you are just planning on playing video games all day, then describe what the quest is in those video games. Are you on the hunt for dragons in the Town of Elsengaard? Maybe you are trying to strike out Josh Donaldson in Baseball 2016.

For summer I'm going camping a lot like. If my mom can she's going to drive to Vancouver. Me and my mom love to camp in tents. Probably swim in my pool. I don't know that most of things we are going to do in the summer.

Well.. to start off, this summer me and my family (and my sisters boyfriend for some reason!?!) are going camping to the mountains for the first week. Then, I want to get a hair cut! I want to shave half of my head. After that I am probably going to just relax and take some bike rides, explore... you know, all the fun stuff! Then, in August I might be going swimming with my best friend, TheGrootKnows, every Saturday and then get breakfast!!! Although it is not written in stone, that's what we were planning!

For summer I'm mostly going to be playing soccer because I go into the city finals, and I might just play with a ceramic knife. My aunt will also be coming over, which means my cousins will also come over. My aunt said that every Saturday we will go out and have breakfast, then we will go swimming at Millennium place! The reason why my aunt is babysitting us is because my parents are going back to India with my brother. But, that means the computer may be gone... R.I.P me!!!!

For my vacation I am going to my Grandma's and Grampa's for two weeks. We will go swimming to West Edmonton Mall. I am not going to do much in the summer.

This is what I'm doing over summer. I'm going to meet up with my friends Kayla and Korra and we're gonna walk to the ice cream parlour and get ice cream and some lemonade. After that we will walk home and jump on Kayla's trampoline for a bit and were staying there for lunch. After 24 minutes of waiting we are going to West Edmonton Mall Waterpark. We're gonna go on one of the biggest water slides there. Then we're gonna spend most of our time chilling in the wave pool. And that's pretty much it SEE YA!

I planned my summer already. I am going to play video games ii Roblox and I am playing le Bote. One time I didn't notice there was land coming and I tried to hard a port until I hit the land and boom I sunk. I abandoned ship. I realize we were sinking and I send SOS to every ship but no one came to help Sir Wildfrid. I was in a great horror. All the ship was busy. They were trying to fight the enemy and I re-spawn and I have another ship named Bravery II. I was closing up to the enemy and again I didn't realize there was land coming and I hit it. I was trying to repair my ship but it's too late. I sunk myself again and tried to call for help but it never arrived. It was too late and I respawn again and I tried to help but an enemy sunk me - A U-boat. The radar sounds starts to sound ping a... it was ping... once but it move to pinga and I hit the depchrange and I came loose. The u-boat hit me and both of us sinks. I tried to repair but IT was too late.

Lastly me and my best friend...lets just hide him in the name mincraft46094. We were planning to go to a YMCA summer camp but I'm looking forward for canoeing.

I don't have very many plans for this summer but my cousin is coming into town all the way from Winnipeg just to visit us and we are going to go to West Ed Water Park and maybe the Big Ticket summer concert.
ReplyDeleteI also might go and swim at my cousins hotel. They have a giant water slide there and on the way down there is a thing where it stops and then it goes faster than before. It is really fun and awesome. We also love to do competitions in the pool with no water slide.

What I am doing this summer is going to Egypt and maybe going to California and going to Galaxy land and the Water Park witch are both in West Edmonton Mall.

I love summer but I am going to stay here this summer because my grandma and grandpa are having a vacation here in Edmonton. I want to spend more time with them. It has been two years that I didn't visit my grandma and grandpa. This is going to be the best summer ever. My grandpa was really scared to go on the airplane to visit us last year but this year my family told my aunt to tell my grandpa about the good stuff in Edmonton and well he is coming!

I'm so excited for summer break because I'm going camping with my best, best friend. We are also having a sleep over with her! Jealous? I can have ice cream all the time because my mom makes lodes of it. I will be in grade five!!!!

During summer I'm going to beat a video game called Dragon Warriors and Tiny Relims. On Tiny Relems I'm gong to try to get to level 10. I'm a level six. I play unfair because I only attack level one villages and then I taunt them. I will show you how to play. First you start with some units and gold and diamonds. You can get more gold and diamonds by buying a gold mine with the gold you start off with. Second, you start with some demons - minions - attackers. Then some other players attack you but no matter what you win though. I could go on for days about this but it would get boring etc.

Well this summer I will play with sea563 in Roblox and real life too. I will play Xcom Enemy Unknown and all of that but we will also do camping and biking and visiting friends who live far away.

I am so excited for the summer this year!!! This summer I am going to Alaska with my grandma and grandpa. I call my grandma and grandpa, mama and papa. When I am done in Alaska I am going to my auntie's farm for a week or longer. My dad is maybe coming down to my auntie's farm to see me. Then when I am at my auntie's farm I get to see my cousin. I can't wait!!!
