A couple of weeks ago, students got a short glimpse of the new principal that will be starting at our school in the fall. She told the kids that she was very excited to be coming to work in our building and that she was looking forward to getting to know all the students in the fall.
To teachers, getting a new principal is just one of the many things that occurs in this profession. We go with the flow and learn to adapt to new styles and processes. I wonder if students feel the same when they see a new principal. They have been used to how Mr. Principal ran the school and how he dealt with incidents. How will they react to a new person, especially a woman? Will that change their behaviour?
What advice could you give to the new principal that would help her make our school run smoothly?

Dear Mr. Principal, you did make our a school a bit better. Although some people did steal other peoples items, but you can't change their behavior.
ReplyDeleteI think that our new principal would be awesome. I think that she would be a bit more organized and strict. She seems very nice and sweet. I don't think she would ever raise her voice at us.
I would like to give the new principal some advice. Maybe we could have more fieldtrips for educational purposes. Maybe we could also buy microscopes for the chemistry units.

My advise is no more suspensions and expulsions for the rest of the time you are here and also I think you should buy us a vending machine.

ReplyDeleteI think that having a female principal will be a good change and it may be better then a male. It is always good to have a change and challenges. It is an opportunity. I am excited to have a new principal but also sad that our current principal is leaving. I think that girl principals are more nice but tougher.

ReplyDeleteI think that having a new principal is kind of great but I'm also kind of nervous whether is she is nice or not. Change is a good thing but in different times it's not, and I don't even know if I'm going be here next year because we are finding a new house but I still hope that I am staying here in this wonderful school!
I have like a lot of advice for the new principal! One is that I want to have like a Pokemon Club where you can finally bring Pokemon cards and trade fairly, other kids wanted that too. Two is I hope were having some changes to the school like having a swimming pool, my friend told me that its never going to happen but never give up on your dreams! Three, I wish we're going have a second floor and have like a little vending machine where it gives you school supplies so that way if you need a pencil or you're out of school supplies you can just go there! Another thing is I hope at Christmas we would have an exchange gift! An exchange gift is basically where you get student in the school and you have to exchange them a gift so it's basically fair! If these wishes would come true I would love school!!

We could have like a dress up day and at the end of the day you could win a prize if you are really good. We should have Student Council. Maybe we could have more electronic days and pajama days. We should have a vending machine that gives free pencils in every class. We should have a fun room. Hope you have fun in our school.

I do like Mr Principal because he's nice and all and doesn't think about the bad things that can happen. I would like to have a girl principal because I think girls can handle the drama that happens in school, but I'll miss you and I'll see you later, alligator.

My advise is to do R.A.C. once a week. And I want to wear uniforms.

ReplyDeleteI don't really care if the principal is male or female. I have had a girl as a principal but you were my fist male principal. I hate to see you go but good luck at your new school. Even though I wasn't here when we met her I still think I will like her.
I think another female principal will be nice but when she comes it might take me a little while to get used to her. I can't wait though. I am always excited to meet new people.
I don't really have a lot of advice but what I can say is stick with the milk and cookies. That was fun. Basically how it works is if a teacher catches you being good they fill out a positive office referral and at the end of the month you do a draw from each grade and we get milk and cookies with you at one recess. Hope you're nice. Can't wait to meet you.

I think a female principal is just as capable as a boy, maybe even more.
Since you are our new principal I want to give you some ideas. A vending maching, a bigger gym, and a cafeteria. That would be a miracle or even one of those things. Ohh and at lunch we can go outside when we are done.

ReplyDeleteI won't like a female principal at all. I know something. You don't want female principals at all because they make everything too fair. For example they make things so fair the only Pokemon card you can trade for a Mega Mewtwo with 250hp and 90 attack power is a Mega Mewtwo with 250hp and 90 attack power.
Some advice to our new principal is don't make everything too fair. Oh yeah, for Pokemon you trade by how rare they are. Some more advice is if someone is sick put them in the sick room and DO NOT tear down this school the second it is in your hands because school is a nice escape from my mom sometimes.

Make getting detention easier because then people won't want to do bad stuff because it's easier to get detention or get EXPELLED from the school.

ReplyDeleteIt is not bad before Mr.Principal came. There was a female so not a giant adjustment.
In my point of view a Pokemon club will be nice so we can trad 'em again but if we think that the trade is really good it should work and a battle table in the Pokemon club.
P.S. I hope she is really nice and everything we are used to.

ReplyDeleteI think that she will do well, because, when we first met, she was very kind! By first met, I mean, our only meeting. If she can deal with kids like us, she is set!
I think the new principal should try to be friendly to everyone, I'm not saying Mr. Principal is mean, but sometimes he didn't or wouldn't anything to anyone. I would do experiments where I would walk down the hallway looking sad, happy, angry, excited, and he would have no reaction! I hope you treat the kids well next year.:)

I think it will be a new experience to have a female in charge because my family is mostly black. Not to be rascist and because of that I say power to all the women in the world. If you can handle all the kids, power to you girl. I could never handle it.
