Sports & Exercise

I really like all kinds of sports.  I enjoy watching and playing all types of sports.  

My favourite sports soccer and tennis.  The reason I participate in these activities is it makes me healthy by making me move and getting my heart and blood pumping.  I try to play soccer at least twice a week, especially during morning and lunch recesses. For tennis, it is more difficult to play because you need to use a tennis court and we don’t have one at school.  Also, it requires a tennis racket and a tennis ball but soccer only needs a ball.

Exercise can get you healthy and prevents disease.  My father does not exercise a lot and his back hurts if he bends over.  I think this happens because he does not exercise anymore. He used to exercise a lot with me but now he only exercises three times a month.  I think exercise is very important and I think most students exercise a lot.

What are your favourite sports that you enjoy doing or watching?  What do you think about exercising and sports?

  1. My favorite sport is swimming. Every summer me and my dad go swimming A LOT!!! We enjoy it so much that sometimes we go in the winter. I enjoy it because it keeps our heart rate up and takes stress off our bodies (I did google what it meant, but I used my own words).

    I think exercise is great. It makes you healthy and not obese. It also helps for the future like darkleon said that his dad's back hurts when he bends over. I exercise at night when there is a soft breeze and not as hot in the afternoon in the summer. In the winter I do it sometimes after school or at five thirty with my mom.

    I think students between the age of 6-18 should exercise at least 10-12 hours a week. And 2-3 hours a day. It would probably be nice for our future selves.

  2. My favorite sport is soccer because a lot of people play it.
    It is a team sport. Some sports don't have teams like the Olympics, it does not have teams which I really really don't like at all. When I play at recess I play in the front line and enjoy scoring the goals. I play with the Grade 6 boys and we play against the Grade 2s and 3s.

    I think that children should exercise only 10 minutes a day because you don't want to miss watching TV or playing games.
    What would you rather do? Exercise or watch TV or play games?

    One exercise we do is RAC which I really hate. I feel like I'm a noob running around school which is stupid. Instead of RAC, I would rather just stay and play games.

    I think that exercise is stupid I think that people should do what ever you want. People could just run around places instead of exercise boringly.what do like more exercise or just running around don't tell me because I don't wanna know like at all.

  3. My favorite sport are cheer, soccer and RAC. Cheer is still a sport because you're still moving your body around and it requires a lot of strength. The reason I do cheer, soccer and RAC is to get healthier and to get stronger.

    Exercise for me is a big thing because I do not like to be hurt and have a hurt back for years. I do not want to be over weight myself. My family and I do lots of exercise even if we do not want to exercise we have to.

    I think that everyone would need about 60 minutes to exercise for a single day. I like to exercise just like darkleon because it is good for you. I love RAC so much but when it is indoor not outdoor and everything I do is awesome! We do RAC every Tuesday and every Thursday. when we do it indoors, we walk in the hallways and we run in the gym for 12 minutes. When we run outdoors, we run 1000 meturs outdoor and it's kind of fun but indoor is way better than outdoor.

  4. My favorite sport is a unit we do at my school its called scooter hockey. It's where everyone in my class gets a scooter and we start by doing a few laps around our school gym. After that we do some drills.

    Personally I feel like exercise is a nateral thing that everyone should do, and start as early as possible. It's healthy and enjoyable. I hope no one has obesity in my class. That would be terrible along with other various diseases.

    R.A.C is the stupidest thing ever invented. I'd jab myself with a knife than do R.A.C,though I built up a tolerance. I feel like the government is doing the right thing by making kids do 1 hour of physical activity.

  5. I love all kinds of sports. Swimming is my favorite sport in the universe and the world. I used to swim sometimes but my father just finished CDI College and I don’t swim as much.

    I don’t like RAC at all.

  6. My favorite sports are gymnastics and hockey. I like gymnastics because you can get stronger and you can also get more flexible.
    The reason I like hockey is because it is fun and you can practice skating and once you learn how to skate it is really fun. That's why I like hockey.

    I think exercise is fun because you get healthier. Sometimes I just want to lay on my couch. All the classes in Div 2 have to do R.A.C, and I hate doing R.A.C outside. It feels like my throat is bleeding and I hate that feeling, but indoor R.A.C is fun and I am fine with it.

    I think that students have to have 60 minutes every day of exercise but I think that we should have 75 minutes of exercise.

  7. My favourite thing to do is gymnastics because we get to use the bar and do the splits and it is good for your body too.

    I think that darkleon is right because exercise is fun and good for you.

    I think that the students need to do exercise 5 times a week.

    In the school we have something called RAC. That is when we run around the school. I like outdoor RAC because I like fresh air.

  8. My favorite sport is soccer because it is complicated and really
    fun. It has tons of different rules and gives you a lot of exercise. When I do play soccer I play in defense left because one of my favorite things to do when I play soccer is do an epic BLOCK!

    I think exercise is one of the best things you can do for your body because it pumps your blood rate up and actually makes you
    feel better after you do it.

    I feel like students should get at least an hour because otherwise you might become obese.

    My mom has tried to help our family by reading a book about
    obesity and integrate it so our family can be healthier.

    In our school we do something called R.A.C. It basically is that you walk around the school. I personally find it hard to do it
    because I have asthma. If you have asthma I will feel sad with you.
    ASTHMA SUCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  9. My favorite sports are hockey and swimming. I like hockey because I get to go to hockey games with my dad and my friend Thea. Once when Thea and I went to a hockey game we were filmed on the jumbo screen! It was one of the happiest days of my life.

    I think exercise is awesome! Like when my class does R.A.C., I love running and getting all my energy out. I think that exercise is important.

  10. SOCCER is my favorite sport in the whole wide world!!! You get to kick a ball with the grade six kids. We score goals and get so cool in front of the other team that they're super duper jealous.The position I am in is defense and goalie. I'm really good at defense but not goalie. I'm really bad but the worst at goalie.

    I think that RAC is the dumbest thing eve.r You have to run and I hate it. It's so annoying. I would rather be sitting in front a 10ft TV screen playing GTA 5 and Fortnite playground mode. It's the most funnest game in history but exercise I hate that so much. You have to run like 1000 cm. And one of my classmate believes me too. I can't tell his name but he a grade fiver.

  11. My favorite sport is soccer and hockey because it‘s amazing. I like kicking the soccer ball to try to get a goal. I like a goalie stick in a net to stop pucks.

    I do not like to exercise because I get all sweaty and tired.

    I think people should exercise an hour a day. I enjoy running.

  13. My favourite sport is taekwondo because it is fun and you get lots of exercise. Sometimes the teacher says that you can play like dodge ball and not much of ball.

    In our school we have R.A.C and I don't like to do RAC but it is good for you. Exercise is okay for me because when we do R.A.C. in summer it is hard to breathe but it is in winter it is pretty good.

  14. My favourite sport is badminton because I think that badminton is the easiest sport I've ever tried.

    My thoughts about exercise is that it issomething that can make us healthy, help us not to have a disease and help our heart and blood pump.

    The required amount of activity that the student needs in a day is 1 hour or 60 minutes in a day.

  15. My favourite sport is baseball. It is a very complicated game and needs a lot to set up with but when it is all set up it is very fun. Baseball works like this: two teams of eight compete against each other. There is a: right field, left field, center field, catcher, and umpire.

  16. I think that sports are really important for your health. Physical activities extend your life and you don't easily get sick. There are many sports I enjoy playing such as badminton, swimming, and gymnastics.

    I remember participating in lots of sporting activities in elementary school. We did R.A.C (Run Across Canada), lots of fun physical activities, and we were forced to go outside three times a day even when it was 30 degrees below freezing. Sadly, at my junior high school, we are not required to go outside and we are not forced to do R.A.C.
