This week is going to be extremely cold and I think we will be staying inside for every recess.
I think indoor recesses are awesome and cool. Even though I like going outside, I enjoy staying inside also. I play all sorts of games with my friends such as building gear trains, reading and watching movies.
At lunch time our class gets to watch a movie. Today we are watching Incredibles 2 on Netflix. It looks we will be watching a movie for the rest of the week.
The bad thing about indoor recesses is that kids do not get enough fresh air and we won’t get our sixty minutes of physical activity.
Tell me your opinion about indoor recesses. If you had a choice to go outside when it’s super cold, would you go outside? What are some alternatives that schools could do instead of indoor recess?

I think indoor recesses are a good idea. I don't want to be outside when it's colder than -30. Right now my school's threshold is -23. I think that is a bit low.
ReplyDeleteI would not mind if it was -30 but right now it's not.
If it was -30 or below I would not go outside. I am resistant to cold but not that resistant. Sometimes it's so cold I end up with 4 or 3 layers!
I think that our threshold is good. Don't change it teachers! In the U.S. I heard that they have snow days where they close down the schools. I think this is a bad idea because children shouldn't be missing school.

I think indoor recesses is fine because if the temperature gets below -23 we can stay inside and not get sick. Because if it gets colder and we're going outside we're going to get sick if we didn't dress properly.
ReplyDeleteIf we get a choice to go outside I probably wouldn't go even though I dress properly because even though we're playing tag or something that involves running, it's not going to heat us up.
The alternatives that schools could do instead of indoor recess is like in the U.S, if the temperature gets cold they close the school and maybe the students get back when the temperature gets warm enough and that is called snow days.

I think that indoor recess is awesome and great because you don't want to go outside when the temperature is 40 below. Another reason why I like indoor recess is because I always bring something to play with like for example Yu-gi-oh cards. This is a card and trading game which could be played inside with friends. It could be up to four players. Even girls could play.
ReplyDeleteIf had a choice to go outside or inside i would choose indoor because i don't really want to run around in the freezing cold. I don't think so you want to go outside.
I think our school should do instead of indoor recess. Our school should do electricity warm up meaning we should be able to have free time on Chrome books. When it's too cold too go outside kids should just have free time.

I hate indoor recess. They are the worst things in the world. It's like being grounded and being in a time out.

If I could choose what we could do the only thing I would say is: suck it up you big baby. And cowboy up buttercup. So what I am trying to say is GO OUTSIDE!!

Indoor recess are rad. Because people can stay in and don't have to get all bundled up to get cold for 15 minutes and come in as such sad kids that are cold and then you finally realize that you have a test. (I think teachers can't stand recesses.)

When I stay inside for indoor recces I just read and play. Almost everyday it looks like we're going to be inside for everyday. But I like recess because we're so good. Like we're not talking as much as we do at lunch.
ReplyDeleteWhen ever we go outside I feel a lot more colder than -39. I like going outside only on spring and fall and only if it's sunny. When we go outside I see a natural disaster. If you never go inside stay inside to play some games if you have any.
When you gt back inside and there is a disaster just read a book or watch television and you should always stay inside.

Indoor recess is a tie with outdoor recess because I can get my sixty minutes of play time. Yes, I will go outside even though it`s too cold outside. I can play with snow play cards, toys, much more inside.

ReplyDeleteIf we had the choice to go outside when it's really cold, I would stay inside. It's warm, you aren't too cold to eat and you can have fun!:)
Something to do other than have free time at indoor recess is finish school work (like our Mr. Men project).

I think that indoor recess is fun. We usually don't have indoor recess because it is nice outside. We always go outside when it is spring. We all think that we will be in for recess the whole week.

I think indoor recess is great for cold weather but if it is sunny outside, I would like to go outside. I like if it is nice outside because if it is nice and sunny outside there is lots to play outside. If it cold and windy outside there is nothing really to play.
ReplyDeleteIf it is cold outside and freezing outside, I do not want to go outside because you have to bundle up properly and it is hard. When the bell ring all the kids go inside is hot because of the temperature is hot inside.
I would like no school if it is cold. I want to stay home because I do not want to go outside. In the Philippines if it is rainy outside so hard because it is strong and some of school flooded.
