I enjoy holidays. It is on these occasions that I get to spend time with my family.
My favourite holiday is Christmas because I get to spend time with my family and open presents with them. I like to eat Christmas dinners and enjoy the two weeks of no school. Also, I like playing with my toys that I receive over Christmas.
I also like the Easter holidays because you get to go on Easter egg hunts. My family hides the eggs all over the house and whoever finds the most eggs at the end wins everybody else’s eggs.
A holiday I don’t celebrate is Labour Day. All I know is that you’re not supposed to wear white clothes after Labour Day. I find that this is a silly rule because I should be able to wear white clothing whenever I want.
What is your favourite special occasion and why? What holiday or occasion do you not celebrate and why? If you could make up a holiday, what would you call it and what would people have to do on this day?

My favorite holiday is Christmas because my birthday is on that day and you also get free presents. But I like it most because I get to spend time with family and friends.
ReplyDeleteMy family doesn't celebrate Easter. I don't know the actual reason but I don't mind. Also I wish we could have school on Easter.
If I could make up a holiday it would be Teachers Rights Day. I think teachers get screamed at too much and on Teachers Rights Day
all the students respect the teachers and be on their best behavior.

My favourite holiday is Halloween because you get candy and dress up too. Last year I went to kittykittypineapplehat's house for Halloween and we had a lot of fun and a lot of candy too. I still have some of it.
ReplyDeleteI don't celebrate Victoria Day or Good Friday or Remembrance Day or Boxing Day too. In my country we celebrate a day called the Day of the Dead. The Day of the Dead is when we celebrate the people in our family that has died. I don't celebrate all those things because almost all the holidays are like the Boxing Day where it's like a day where all the stores are open and every thing is on sale.
If I had a chance to invent a holiday I would make a holiday that would be called the Week of Luck. That's where you get to have luck or do fun stuff too and dress up wearing a blue or pink shirt or dress too and it would be on the last week of May.

My favourite holiday is Halloween because my birthday and my cat's birthday is close to it and also because you get lots of CANDY!! And I love candy. I also like Christmas because I get to hang out with my family and get presents although my parents think that I have too many toys.
ReplyDeleteI don't celebrate Labour Day because I don't think I have ever heard of it. I also agree that crystal said that you can't wear white the day after that. I don't think that's fair.
If I could make a holiday I would be called ROOT BEAR FLOAT DAY. On that day people all around the world will get free root bear floats and they would get as much as we want.

My favourite holidays is Halloween because I get so much candy and I get to dress up when I am going trick or treating and that is very fun because I get to also go with my family and with friends too. I also get to go to school in my Halloween costume and even see my friends in costumes. Also it is so much fun. My other favourite holiday is Mother's Day and Father's Day too because I get to make stuff for them and I get to make breakfast for them and they get to eat it in bed sometimes too. That is also fun to help my parents and give them a break off of doing work and helping us too.
ReplyDeleteI do not celebrate Boxing Day and I do not celebrate Alberta Family Day. I do not know but that is what we do. We just don't celebrate Boxing Day and we don't even celebrate Alberta Family Day. I think it is because I don't now what it is.
If I could make up a holiday it would be Trash Day. That is when you throw all the garbage on the road, ground and even in the schools, then you pick it all up after the day ends. I think it would be so fun to throw trash all over the grounds.

I actually love Christmas more than any other holiday because my birthday is right near Christmas. I celebrate most of the holidays like Christmas, Halloween, Easter and more like Valentine's Day.

My favorite occasion is Ramadan. That is a special day when we don't eat until 9:00 p.m. When it is time we fast together. There is a amount of age 10 to 100. Only those that are 10 or over can fast. Children below can not.
ReplyDeleteI celebrate Eid. It is a day where all my family group members will give $20 each. Then we will go to the mosque and have a 5 day sleep over. I do this because I don't celebrate other holidays.

My favorite holiday is Christmas because of all the presents I get from Santa, and we don't even have to pay, it's awesome. And that I get the day off school because this school is so boring, I think so anyway. But my mom doesn't like me saying Christmas carols when it's not Christmas because Christmas makes her feel broke because it's really expensive.
ReplyDeleteI also like Easter because chocolate is one of the only things that helps my cavities because I can suck on it and that doesn't do any damage to my teeth.
If I could make up a holiday I would call it No Trash Week. So, people that make trash beer home for a week and not make any trash for a week and everyone would not litter for a week. How do I say go to jail for a week because littering is just getting worse and worse and worse. Eventually the planet is going to die, which means no plants at all and it means no food at all.

I do not celebrate Easter because my mom is always at work.

My favourite holiday is Christmas because I can spend time with my family and have fun with them. I can receive a gift from my other family members and give them a gift by saying thank you for everything that they did.
ReplyDeleteThe holiday that I don't celebrate is Labour Day like the blogger said. I don't celebrate it because I don't know what it means and I also don't celebrate Easter because I don't really eat that much of sweets because I don't want to have cavities.
If I could make up a holiday I would call it Arts Day because I really like art and I love it. The people would draw something interesting and the drawings that they draw will be be on the wall so that people can see and take a look at it.

ReplyDeleteI've got to say, my favourite holiday is probably Christmas. Why? Because when you wake on Christmas morning you're so excited to run to the Christmas tree and rip open the presents and play with them. After you're settled, you're drinking hot coca and having fun with the family.
Holidays that I don't celebrate are Labor Day, Victoria Day, and Heritage Day. Like what are those? What would you do on those days?
If I could make a holiday it would be called Camping Day. It would be where every camp site in Canada would be free for a whole week. Everyone would get exercise.

I also enjoy Halloween because you can get candy from trick-or-treating and in the morning you can see the toilet paper from other people's houses.
