In my old school we had 30 kids in my class. My teacher's name is Miss E. She lets us call her this because her real name is hard to pronounce.
We had something called Miss E bucks which were paper tickets that we could earn for good behaviour. Every time we had D.E.A.R she would put an app up on the Smartboard that had all our names on it. Every time we behaved she would give us a point that would stay there until Friday. These points would go into our Miss E bucks account.
On Fridays, she would add all the points together and she would even count how much home reading we did. Some people would get 130 Miss E bucks a week! The most I got was 130 also.
With these Miss E bucks, we can buy stuff from her store in the classroom. We can buy gum, we can swap desks, there were free coupons from actual stores, stickers, books and toys. The best item that you could buy in the store was the actual coupons.
At our park we had no tire swings. Instead, we had round swings, and my brother and his friend Ethan would push really high. This school has tire swings and I really enjoy playing on them.

get candy. The Big Ham uses a candy jar and it is fine with me whoever gets the closest estimate wins all of it but I have never won. I hope in the next candy jar I win.
My favourite equipment from the playground is the big straight slide.

I think the Big Ham's class should be paid bucks for good behavior because that would really be fun. I also love to shop at stores to buy things and i really think that it would be really hard to think of the things to buy. I really hope to have the Big Ham bucks. Some people in my class would love this because some of them would love getting prizes and things to get. I really want them.
ReplyDeleteIf I was the teacher for a class room I would let them have the bucks for good behavior. My things would be candy, hockey pictures of the Oliers players, to switch decks with someone else and maybe free books for them to read. The reason I want to do the bucks when I am a teacher because it is fun for people to get along with and if someone is feeling left out somebody could help them feel better.
We had the same playground since I was in kindergarten. The playground we have now is a little bit rough and it is a wood playground we have. I am so excited for the new playground that we are having at the school. When I am maybe in grade seven or grade eight there might be a new playground.

I think the Big Ham would not have to do paid bucks because it will take all of the space in our room. Our room is small and we already have lots of things on the ground.
ReplyDeleteIf I am a teacher I would not do a paid buck because it will be in the way. And maybe the student will not do their work.
My favourite playground equipment is the tire swing. First I was scared to ride it but when I try to get on the tire swing it was fun. I don't like spinning but I like the not spinny one. I am excited for the new playground but I would be in grade 7 or grade 8.

ReplyDeleteIf I were a teacher I would do Winona bucks but I would do it so that everyone would have a paper pouch and decorate it. Then I would laminate it and give it back to them. Also I would set up a candy stand and toy stand.

I feel like having a reward system is not right because let's say you're in a job and you finish a really hard job. The only way you'll get rewarded is by not getting fired.

I think being rewarded with bucks is not necessary but some classes don't do anything for fun.
ReplyDeleteIf I were a teacher I would use a reward system with using paper to guess the number of whatever I put in the jar.
Our playground is fun but I'm tired of seeing the same equipment. My favourite piece of equipment is the tire swing. Almost every recess I play on the tire swing.

I like all of the equipment at the school. It is pretty fun and if I was on it I would be screaming my butt off.
ReplyDeleteIt would be really fun on that round swing because the way you scream on it it would be fun. But if a grown-up pushed you,you would go flying off the swing.
If I would go to that school I definitely would go on that swing.

No I don't like the idea of getting rewarded because of good behavior. I don't agree because we get rewarded too much already with candy and field trips.

I don't think that that Big Ham Bucks are a good idea because we should just do our work with out having to be rewarded with something. Although it is sometime nice to get a prize.

I am very excited for the new playground.
Last year in grade four I went to another school. I was very bullied every day after school and I would come home crying. There was one girl who would ask me to do something for her and I would say no and she would kick me in the shins until I did it.

I think its a great idea to be paid, because you can get free candy, and because you can show that you listen in class. But I don't want to be paid, I just want to show that I'm learning by letting the Big Ham look and make sure I'm working very well without telling her.

Our playground is okay. Just there's too much wood and most of it is wrecked. My favourite piece of playground equipment is one of those tire spinners where someone pushes it around in circles and after its really fast you hop on.
I am super excited for the new playground because I did see that piece of equipment in a book with only playground stuff.

I think being paid bucks for good behavior and shopping at the classroom store is not a good idea because our teacher would have do a double job at school and she also said that it's hard to look at the students, mark us on the board and always buy some treats for the students to pick on.
ReplyDeleteIf I were a teacher the kind of reward system I would use is what my/our teacher do. The reward system that she use is like she put some treats in the jar like chocolate, gummies, candies and more. She gave us some tickets and we guess, so whoever got the number of the treat the closest won.

I think that our teacher should give us e-bucks to buy something from her behavior store. If you don't know what I'm talking about I'm saying that when kids behave good they should be awarded with something like e bucks to buy something like gum or coupons and lots of fun things.
ReplyDeleteIf I were a teacher I would probably give my students a sheet of paper. And then they all have to write a kind of candy they want then they would do the same thing every week.
One thing that I'm really excited about is our new playground equipment. But one bad thing is that the playground will be made when I'm in grade 7 or 8 which means I will be in a different school like the closest junior high.
