My family and I have a few special traditions. A tradition is where a family does many of the same things at certain times of the year.
For example, every weekend we play a game night such as Monopoly. This is a board game where you have to win money and own properties. My mom or dad always wins no matter what my brother and I do.
If we don't do that we go to Amazone Playzone, which is a large indoor playground. It’s so fun! There is gliding, karate, mazes and slides. My favourite part of the whole thing is the gliding and the mazes. The mazes glow and you can fall through and the gliding is about five feet high. I don't really like the slides, they scare me.
Sometimes we go for walks down Whyte Avenue. We go for ice cream and go shopping. We hear singing across the roads from us. I don’t like the part when my dad gets something for my mom and not me. I like the walking part a lot.
1. Describe your family traditions?
2. What are your favourite traditions and why?
3. What would you like see your family doing together in the future?

BLOGGER OF THE WEEK
Great topic, box3D!
ReplyDeleteOne of the traditions that started when I met my husband happens at Christmas time. For the last six years my in-laws and their family go eat Chinese food and watch a movie on Christmas Eve. We started with the Lord of the Rings series and then moved onto the Star Wars series. Now that both series are over, I'm not sure if we are going to continue with this tradition. I hope we do though.
A tradition I'd like to see my husband and me do is go on an annual vacation somewhere, like a cruise. But like one of my students said, that would cost a lot of money.

My family tradition is that we go to West Edmonton Mall once a month and go shop to the stores. Sometimes if we have a lot of extra money, my mom buys us tickets to go to the Waterpark or to Galaxyland. Usually when we go there we eat pizza or hamburgers. We also go there at night so my dad can come with us because he comes at 7 pm because he works late.
ReplyDeleteMy favourite tradition is when we go to bowling to Bonnie Doon and we stay there until 10 pm there. We usually go bowling once a week. I like it because we get to eat pizza and play together but the thing that I don't like is that my dad always wins and we never get to win.
I would like to see my family do together the same thing my classmate, hunterfox909 does, which is have a pizza night with a movie or a video game night because we can play Roblox or Minecraft together and eat pizza with pop. Also I would like to go to Mexico again to visit my family and have fun playing video games. It would be nice to see the rest of my family every year.

The only family traditions I have is having dinner with my family and going to the church every Sunday and Thursday.
ReplyDeleteI don't really have a favorite tradition but if I could have one it would be going to swim every summer at Hardisty Pool. My other favorite tradition would be going to the movies every month. Right now, we only go once a year.

My family traditions are we have pizza and movies on Mondays and Fridays. We usually have Domino's pizza but sometimes we have Pizza 73. We all take turns picking the movie, but my dad always starts the month.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite tradition is movies and pizza because I love pizza mmm, mm mmmmm.
I would like to go to Disneyland two times a year instead of going one time a year because it is so darn fun. The best ride is the Mickey Mouse ferris wheel because you can see the entire city from up high.

My family has some traditions. We go to Saskatchewan every other Christmas. We either go to our cousins house or our grandparent´s house. I like Christmas just as equal if we are in Saskatchewan or Edmonton. We also eat at the table without the TV on at supper and has a conversation about our day.
ReplyDeleteMy favourite tradition is going to Saskatchewan every other Christmas. It is my favourite because I don´t get to see my cousins and grandparents very often.
If I had a family tradition in the future I would choose to go to Disney Land every year. I want to do that because I know a lot of people who have been to Disney Land and everyone said that it is the best place ever! You should go there!

My family tradition is really small. All I do is regular traditions. Like Saint Patrick's day, Christmas, Easter and that's ALL!!! (I think!)... I never do that ohhhh NO HOMEWORK NIGHT NEVER DO THAT OHHHHHHHHH PIZZA TIME, NEVER DO THAT OHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH VIDEO GAME NIGHT, I NEVER DO THAT OHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH ICE CREAM NIGHT! I really don't.
ReplyDeleteMy favourite one is Easter, you may be asking why...Well my family buys these big chocolate coins, skateboards you name it. And then you get to hunt FOR MORE! WOWWWWWWWW! That's why I love Easter so so much!
I know we're going to do it but my family announced it. They said we were going on an epic road trip. We can go to the American border, go to Yellowstone but we have two choices. I like them because we're going across Canada but we had to delay it a year because we got visitors coming over. But I'm okay with that because family is more important than road trips.

I have some amazing family traditions. They are all very fun and very long. My favorite tradition is called pizza movie night. Pizza movie night has been a tradition since I was born and I still do it.
ReplyDeleteI would love to have a tradition where you have a big party and invite some friends. It would be so fun because then I could have fun with my friends. Sadly, it would cost way more money than my mom and dad both make in a year.
Another tradition that I would love to have would be to go to the West Edmonton Mall water park once a month.

We do pizza and movie night on Thursdays.
ReplyDeleteI mostly just do pizza and movie night but sometimes we play board games.

My traditions is to sit down at the dinner table. I rarely ever go out to eat. My parents might bring me food from McDonald's but I will almost never go to McDonald's.
ReplyDeleteMy favourite tradition is to stay asleep for a long time on Saturday and Sunday.
~mnopelsid
Mainly all my family traditions are sitting down at the dinner table eating dinner except my dad doesn't eat at the dinner table.
ReplyDeleteI'm happy with that because he's been smoking ever since he was 11 so he's been smoking for 24 years.
If it doesn't involve my dad it's my favourite.
I would want a tradition that makes my dad not smoke for at least a day.

One of our family traditions is going to church on every Sunday. We also have the funniest tradition in our family: it's petting my cat at least..twenty-five times a day, or more, which he is VERY sappy.
ReplyDeleteWe don't really have family traditions because we rarely go out somewhere. My only really favorite family traditions is church and petting my cat because first, I love learning about god. Second, I LOVE my cat, because we all call him the cutest cat in the world, and he is cuter than any animal in the world.......HE IS, REALLY! Also, because he feels SOO SOFT, and he's VERY SAPPY!
I would really love to have a new family tradition. That is to go to Disney World twice a year, and for my family to go to the Fantasy Land Hotel once a year.

I don’t know if I have a family tradition.
ReplyDeleteI don’t have a favorite tradition at the moment. But if I had a family tradition it would be swimming every week.
Servus place would be my favorite thing. I like to swim.
I would like to see my family go to a restaurant every month. We used to go to Red Robin’s but it closed.
~thing1
One of my traditions is on every Friday we have a pizza, popcorn and movie night! The pizza that we always get is pepperoni pizza and I HATE pepperoni pizza and my mom always says just pick the pepperoni off!
ReplyDeleteMy favourite tradition are going to hang out with my big sister (from the Big Brother, Big Sister program) we usually hang out on Wednesday. We can go rock climbing and swimming or we could just hang out at her house or at my house.
The thing that my mom wises for is when we do have enough money one day is that my mom wants to buy three west Edmonton mall tickets. You can stay some nights at the hotel and go swimming go to Galaxyland and go bowling and golfing and the movies and the sea lion show all for free. But I know one place in West Edmonton Mall that she needs to go to like a thousands of times - Bath and Body Works. The only thing I like about Bath and Body Works is the samples for the perfume and soap. My mom likes everything about Bath and Body Works and we stay in there for like two hours and I always say mom can we go now my legs are getting tired and she always says back to me come on just look at the stuff and just smell the stuff. Then whenever we get out of West Edmonton Mall and into the car it is already 9:57. It is always that time when we get out of West Edmonton Mall and into the car. It is always that time.

Every Friday night, me and mommy take turns choosing a movie or a season to watch. We eat pizza (not!) and get nice and cozy! I usually get a little treat too.
ReplyDeleteOne tradition I'd like to start with my mom is to learn one Russian word a week. It would be nice to know some Russian since I am Russian!
~kittycathat
Every Friday at my house me and my brother get to choose dinner. And we don’t have to do homework. Usually I have to do homework before I get to play video games but on Friday I get to go straight to video games.
ReplyDeleteI really want Thursdays to be movie night because on Thursdays I am not allowed to play video games. But we still can watch Netflix. And we have a huge projector setup downstairs.
