I am getting an American Girl doll on Friday, February 28, 2014. I am so excited because it's my first time getting this kind of doll.
American Girl dolls are only sold in the United States. They have stores where you can go in and buy them but since I live in Canada, I have to buy online. But I'm going to call the store instead because it's easier for my mother.
If you've never heard of American Girl dolls, they are a lot bigger than Barbie dolls, have hair and lots of accessories that you can buy extra. Check out their website at www.americangirl.com. They are very expensive because the price is $110.00!
I wanted to buy an American girl doll on Christmas but I could not buy it because I had didn't have enough money. The American Girl doll that I ordered is named Saige. I am also going to order the Pepper pet set, Saige's sweet outfit, school backpack set, lunchbox set, sweet school dress, doll hairbrush, 2 in 1 track outfit, raspberry glasses and a doll gift box. I would also like to buy the bed set but it's too costly at $100. She will not have a place to sleep because my cupboard is full of Barbies.
Have you heard of American Girl dolls? What do you think of the expensive price? If you don't have any dolls, what kinds of toys do you play with?

To be honest I'm a boy not a girl so yeah. But I will tell you what I think of them. They are good for girl but for a boy no. Their price is dumb really! $110 dollars that's just outrages! And you have to buy all of the little things like a umbrella for 200 dollars. Its good for the people that make them though because they get a lot of money.

My most expensive toy is $430 and that toy is a Playstation 3 but I got mine a custom color and yeah. Its only supposed to be 360 dollars.

Until today I had never heard about American Girl dolls. I think they are pretty expensive just for one doll.
ReplyDeleteMy most expencive toy was my colection of cap guns. One of them is the price of an xbox 360. It was my most precious until I was eight. I replaced it with my pet rat. And then we got a gold fish because he died and when we got a dog and cat I acted like fluttershy from My Little Pony but they were fine togetther. But I cant sleep. The cat KNOWS HOW to climb my bed. Well it's a bunk bed.
I have a milion toys that I never use so yeah. Also animal drama. OH I forgot that I had a toy cat which looked creepy

I never heard of American Girl dolls. I don't really like playing with dolls. Sometimes they get very boring. I just play with console like my Xbox one and my ipad and iPod.

My most expensive toy that I got was my Xbox one that cost $500. And I got that for my birthday. Same as got GTA 5.

think about American Girls are okay. I have one but I don't play with it. I still have it. I got it when I was eight. I don,t know how much it cost because I got the American Girl for maybe last last last Christmas. I still have her at home but I don,t play with her anymore. Maybe I will I dont know.

I think they are not that good because they are way too much money. The American Girl dolls are not good because they do not come with hair and a bed or even clothes! They are also not good because they are $110.00. They will not be good because they do not have a changing facial expression.
ReplyDeleteYes I do know someone that has American girl doll. It is Mrs. Browns daughters and they are the only people I know. I have heard they have alot of them. That is alot of money! No I do not have any dolls because I am a boy.
The most exspensive toy I have gotten was a LEGO Mindstorms EV3. It was over $400.00 and all the pecies are LEGO tecinic 3 to about 19 holes in each one! It is about more better looking than LEGO Mindstorms and is more better. It has a back button and it is not on the centre buttons. The set has multiple ways of making a program.

I think American Girl dolls are a little bit creepy. I think that the price is so high I would not buy one for that price. I do not really like dolls and that doll is very expensive. Barbie dolls are less money than American Girl dolls because they are a lot of money.

My most expensive toy is my Xbox 360 because it cost two hundred and something dollars.

I have no idea what an American Girl doll is and I think that an American Girl doll is just business. $110 for a stupid doll! Oh come on, that's just a ripoff! And who wants to come home with a doll staering at them and the extras like the clothes, etc., etc. For example: $200 for an umbrella, that's a stupid price.

I think American girl dolls are too big and babies will think the American girl doll is their big sister. The American girl dolls can't even fit in a adult purse. The price is a lot of money and think for every together to be $210.00 for everything. Why don't they sell it here in Edmonton and I think we are part of America. Canada is actually is America or the mountain are blocking their way to the other side of Canada.
ReplyDeleteMy sister have many dolls I really don't know what kind because I haven't seen my sister play any. My neighbours on the right has only few not a lot but they only have baby dolls.
My expensive toy is a Jeep I got 2 years ago but few months later it wasn't really work at all and it gots a high speed on it ,it gots a tiny hook.

I don't really know what my most expensive toy is but at Saturday is my sister's birthday and my mom said that she will buy something. Mom told me what she going give to my sister it is like $23.50 toy but my sister don't know what she is going to get.

I do not like American girl dolls. Who would want one? If my sister wanted one I would say no because they are too big and they cost $110.00. My mom and dad would not buy it. Maybe on xmas though.

I don't have one but my little sister has one. She got one for Christmas. It was in 2012. When she got it she was already playing with it. My cousin was jealous because it was so beautiful.

I mostly playing with my ipad mini. I have games and math games too but tapout it is so much fun.

The most expensive toy at my house is a puppet because it was very easy to play.

I was browsing on the American Girl website and noticed that you can customize your doll with any kinds of features you want. For example, you can pick the colour and style of hair and the shape of her eyes. No wonder it costs so much for a doll. Then if you want, there are a boatload of accessories that you can buy also.
ReplyDeleteI wish that I had so many choices when I was a child. I played with my few Barbies and we sewed clothes for them. It definitely wasn't as expensive as it is now.
I hope you play with your American Girl doll for a long time. It sounds like you got an entire collection.

ReplyDeleteThese dolls are pretty amazing. You can get them with all kinds of features to make it look any way you want. Even like yourself! They are expensive, which means they might end up being played with less and just added to collections. I think that if you love it and it makes you smile, it will be worth the price over time.
ReplyDeleteI have a vast collection of Barbies. Many have never been opened, they are not overly valuable because these were mass produced, but I love them. My daughter is not so happy that she can't play with those ones. The best toys are not the ones that sit on a shelf, they are the ones that are loved.
And even if it does cost more, you can consider the number of toys that get broken or lost. Might have been less expensive at the time, but if you have to replace it, it's not such a good deal.
