St. Patrick's Day celebrates a courageous man named Patrick who travelled to Ireland 1700 years ago to bring Christianity to the Irish people. He was courageous because the Irish people had a reputation for being cruel to people they didn't like. Patrick knew this first-hand, because he was kidnapped by Irish sailors when he was a teenager from his home in Britain. Patrick worked as a slave for 4 years in Ireland before he escaped and made his way back to Britain. Once Patrick became an adult, he chose to return to Ireland to teach them about Christianity. Would you go back to help the people who kidnapped you?
Today, St. Patrick's Day is celebrated all over the world. For many people, it is an excuse to drink alcohol and party. For others, it is a day where you pinch people who aren't wearing green. Some people build leprechaun traps in hopes of getting a leprechaun to give you his gold. Others talk in Irish accents for fun (top 'o' the mornin' to ya!), and some people eat green food (like eating green oatmeal!).
I'm celebrating St. Patrick's Day by wearing green. I think I'll have broccoli with supper, too. What about you? How are you celebrating St. Patrick's Day? Did you wear green? Is your family doing anything special to mark the day?

Today I forget about St. Patrick's Day. I was like la la la putting on my Bow Ties Are Cool shirt and grey pants. Then I went to school and everybody was like yeah it's St. Patrick's Day man. And I was like really so yeah I'm trying to say I forgot. My friends never celebrate St. Patrick's Day. Well my other brother and sister did with some beer. But yeah but it's poop because I want to celebrate it because I don't know I just want to.

I am wearing green but my little brother is not and my older brother is wearing blue. My family does not really celebrate St. Patricks Day but my little brother is obsessed in catching a leprechaun. My older brother just does not care.

My favourite occasion is People Day my day off of school. It is so fun because there is no school. It is fun because we have no school on People Day.

For St. Patrick's Day I totally forgot it was it so my mom told me. My mom said to wear something green so I put on a Hello Kitty shirt. I do not celebrate at home but at daycare they celebrate every year.

My favourite occasion is Christmas and Halloween. I like Christmas because you get presents and money also it is a holiday! I like Halloween because you get candy and you get to go in scary houses.

I don't really know how I'm celebrating because it been a long time and I think we get candy, chocolate. I'm not wearing green but I will when I get home after school. When I get home I think they will surprise me with things.

I think my dad will give us candy and chocolate but I think my dad will give chocolate coins or money to us on St. Patrick Day. My dad buys us thing on St. Patrick Day. I think my mom will give us something today.
My favourite special occasion is Christmas because we get candy and chocolate like Halloween. We get presents that is expensive and mostly our whole family comes to our house to give us presents to my sister,brother and me. For last year we got not that good toys and my mom gave us a toy we already had at our house.

I woke up this morning and I knew that it was St.Patrick's Day. I just did want to wear anything because I don't really like St.Patrick's Day. I don't really do anything on St.patrick's Day. And I didn't wear any green.

I just wear green and that's all. No we don't celebrate at all we just wear green for St.Patrick's.Day and obviously I'm not allowed to drink alcoholic drinks like whiskey or beer and my mom doesn't drink alcohol exctipte whiskey but rarely.

My favourite special occasion is Eid because I get lots of money and presents. On Eid my family go to mosque to pray. In the evening we will eat Pakistani foods and we have a party too.

My favourite special occasion is probably Christmas. I like Christmas because you get gifts from your family and you get to spend time with your family. On Christmas Eve, my whole family goes to my grandparents house and we get gifts. We also have dinner there. My favourite thing to have for dinner there is probably European Sausages. On Christmas day, we also get gifts and we stay at our house.

Today I was at my dad's. We ate green apples in the morning and also Lucky Charms (a kind of cereal). No I am not wearing green because I totally forgot today but I have green and pink Rainbow Looms but this morning my dad pinched me anyway.

I only wore green because I did not want to be pinched. I only wear green on Saint Patrick's Day. Some people do not wear green because they think it is a regular day. The people that do not wear green get pinched and they do it as hard as they want. Wearing green will make you able to pinch other people but they will not be able to pinch you.
ReplyDeleteNo I do not and I do not know if my friends celebrate. They do wear green and they sometimes forget. I only do the green thing event though my herritage is Irish. My grandma told me that I was Irish and my mind was blown.
My favourite occasion is Halloween. The reason why is because I barely have any birthday partys any ways. Halloween is awesome because you get candy. You can also get toys.
