Last week we produced our own story of Mister Men. After we finished writing our Mister Men story we read it to our Buddies in Grade 1 and 2.
My favourite part was writing our story. We had to come up with a character trait and I picked “giving”. It was my third choice after “mean” and “thankful’ but those were already taken.
I chose to write about Little Miss Giving. Her problem was that she gave away everything she had. For example, one day she was walking home and she saw Mr. Intelligent jogging. She asked him if he wanted some money but he said “No”and then he gave her a lecture and then she solved her problem.
I think it took me 19 or 20 days to finish my Mister Men. I was the fourth child to finish my story. It took me so long because the outlining and colouring was the hardest part for me.

ReplyDeleteThis is the second year that I have done this assignment with my students and again, it was a big hit. I think my favourite part was looking at the back cover and seeing all the different characters drawn and coloured.
I noticed that many other teachers in the school have noticed our books while we were publishing them and commented on how neat they thought the idea was. I hope your Grade 1 and 2 buddies enjoyed listening to your stories and looking at your illustrations.
I also wrote and published a book this year called Mr. Apologetic. I was extremely proud of myself because I drew and coloured all the pictures and actually finished it. The first year I only wrote the story and never got around to drawing or colouring it. That year I wrote a story called Mr. Snooze.
I'm glad you guys enjoyed this assignment. I noticed that you were enthusiastic for most of it even though it was a long process. It was a great lesson to learn that good quality products take time, energy and effort.

I did Mr. Fearless. The problem was that he was too fearless. Which makes sense. He solved his problem by getting hurt really bad.
ReplyDeleteMy favourite part of it was writing. I really like writing for some reason. My least favourite part of it was drawing because that slows you down so much.
I would like to make Mr. Easy Going because my teacher thinks I'm very easy going. I think I'm like that too. I hope people see me like that too because its good when people think you're calm. Thats why I would choose that.

My character was Little Miss Rich and the problem was that she was too rich and it got solved by spending it sometimes.

If I could choose another character it would be Little Miss Mean.

My character was Mr Harmful. His problem was he killed people. He solved he solved it by dying.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite part was...I do not have a favorite part. My least favorite part was coloring. I hated the coloring and all the rest. I did not like it at all.
I would have Mr. Sarcastic it would be fun because I am sarcastic.

The name of my Mr. Men was Mr. Evil. His problem was that he was mean to everyone and he solved the problem by himself. The man characters were Mr. Good, Mr. Evil, Little Miss Rich and Fluffy.

My charachter was Mr. Lucky. His problem was he was too lucky. He solved his problem by going to Happy-land. He knew no one would steal from him.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite part of the story was the writing. The least favourite part was the outlining. The reason why the outlining was it took so long. The writing did not take as long because I write fast.
If I could do another one it would be Mr. Trait because he would have every problem that every character would have. It would be funny if he was stealing stuff and giving it away. He would look like a cartoon character. The thing that he would always have is a lock-pick for breaking into houses.

My character was Mr. Old. His problem was that he only 20 but he was too old to do any thing.

My character for the Mr.men was Mr. Guilty. His problem was he got arrested too much and went to jail once every half year or so. His problem got solved when the criminal (with spiky hair) talked to Mr. Guilty and Mr. Guilty gave him $1,000,000! He gave him $1,000,000 so that he wouldn't get arrested anymore.
ReplyDeleteThe favourite part of doing my story was probably the typing because I LOVE typing. It's like I was born to do it or something. Actually, I think I'm born to play video games. Maybe in the future I will go into a L.A camp for kids. My least favourite part of doing my story is probably colouring. I didn't like the colouring part because I am not very good at art and I do just not like colouring very much at all.
If I could choose another character it would be Mr. Apologetic. I would choose Mr. Apologetic because I apologise SO much even in real life. To prove that, whenever I would get sick or something, I would say sorry. I don't know if i'm way too sorry for other people or I am just really nice to other people.

My character is Mr. Daring. He was always really daring. His problem was that he was too daring and would do death defying things. It was solved by his friend Mrs. Baguette told him to stop his stunts and as you would expect he did.

If I could choose another character it be fast because that sounds a lot like me and I love running. Plus I am one of the best runners in my class for short track.

My character is Little Miss Selfish. My girls problem is that she never shares anything. She solved her problem by people not listening to her. Everybody listen to her.

If I had to pick another person it will be Little Miss Rich. I wanted it but my friend chose that because I already had an idea for that girl.

My character was Mr. Friendly. My problem was he was too friendly to everyone. Mr. Friendly solved his problem when Mr. Calm told him to a person and he did not be friendly, then Mr. Calm told Mr. Friendly do be friendly he needed to or not.
ReplyDeleteMy favourite part in the was drawing the pictures because it is so easy to draw in pencil. My least favourite was doing in the story is colouring because some people did big pictures to colour most of the page and some draw small. Small is really hard because we need to write with a sharp pencil crayon to colour.
I would pick for my other character would be named Mr. Rich because he is so rich can buy anything in the world and anywhere. Mr. Rich can buy over 200 mansions in each country.

My character was little Miss Responsible. Her problem was she was to responsible. Her sister lock little Miss Responsible in her room. The next morning little Miss sister let little Miss Responsible out. Then little Miss Responsible was not that responsible.

My character was Mr.shy. His problem was that he was shy and he asked his friend Mr. happy how he can be less shy and yes Mr.Shy solved his problem. My favourite part was the outlining. and my least favourite part was writing. If I could choose another character I would name it Mr.Nice.

I had fun making the book and reading it to my buddy but did not finish coloring the book.
ReplyDeleteIt was called Mr. Picky. Mr. Picky went to the movie theatre and got a coke and a popcorn. He watched the movie Pacific Rim 3.
After two years he decided to go to a hockey game but he was too picky about the bus, so he missed the hockey game. One of the bus was too slow and one was too old. Then little miss cute got off the bus and said "Wow what a game."
