Finally, the warm weather is here (I think) which means it’s almost time to go camping. I love to go camping for these three reasons: I love going to the beach, I like exploring the stores in the small towns, and I like sleeping in a tent. I'm not a big fan of the bugs.
Most of the time I get to take a friend with me. Last year we went to the north part of Saskatchewan. We get to sleep in a tent to ourselves and my dad gets the camper all to himself. My dad doesn't give us the chance to sleep in the camper but we don't mind because our tent is really big. You can fit six people in it.
We always bring our bikes so after supper we can go to the store for treats and go explore too. Last year my dad bought a boat, so now we can go tubing or use the knee board we bought. I like to stay up late, sit by the the fire, and roast marshmallows.
This year I hope we go to the same place because the lake is beautiful and the campsite is wonderful.

Great post, kitkatsmitsmat but I must say I disagree with your opinion about camping. I just don't understand why people would want to sleep on the hard ground. At the same time, many families buy expensive campers and drive out to the middle of nowhere. I think that time and money could be spent vacationing somewhere in a big city, like New York or San Francisco!

I think camping is disgusting. All those ugly little creatures around just make me squeal. I don't get why people like to go camping. I can't really go because I have a naughty brother and a little sister of a pest. It's hard to control us so if I were to go camping, it would be like a torndo, or terrible trip. Instead of camping, my family usually goes to Calgary, Banff, or Jasper. Then we would go to Mexico every year. If that isn't a choice, we would go somep place else in a plane. This year my parents wanted to have a easy summer, so we were going to Kelowna. None of my siblings have been there, so it should be really cool. My parents say we will stay in a nice hotel, aand explore the area a bit.
ReplyDeleteI'd rather not sleep in a camper or a tent because I don't want to share a bathroom with other people. Especially a out house. Those things smell. Instead I would make a inflatable version of my house, inflate it, and pack it with me. Once we go to the area, I would blow it up and use a nice, clean, white toilet.
If I were to go camping, I woud just eat smores, hotdogs, and marshmallows all day. But the bad thing is, my grandma, my mom, and sometimes my sisters are vegetairians, so we can't make hotdogs all the time.

I think that camping is a delightful thing to do in the summer, especially for the nature lovers and I am one too! The only thing I don't like about camping is sleeping in a tent because lots of slithery yucky bugs crawl in your tent and bothers your wonderful sleep. YUCK!
ReplyDeleteI would rather sleep in a rusty old camper than sleeping in a bug town city (which is the tent). Also sleeping in a tent is the same thing as sleeping on the ground except it has a roof and its much better. I like nature but I do not like tents.
I like collecting bugs and put it in a bug cage we got from the dollar store because it has a magnifying glass to look closely on the bug, but I let my brother do the bug picking up thing for me because I am scared of touching bugs with bare hand. I have lots of variety of fun things that I like to do and one of them is exploring the wilderness but I avoid touching poison things. I like seeing animals wandering the wild, we even bring a camera to take a picture of nature! Once me and my auntie,cousins, uncle, and my family went to Jasper to go camping. Oh how I love the wonderful view of the mountains! Next we went to Banff and I just love the exciting view! Sometimes I even wished to live in there! That's why I love nature and camping especially the s'mores one!

I can't say because me and my family NEVER WENT CAMPING BEFORE, but I want to go. Luckily my Nona (grandma) and Ocha (grandpa) on a cabin in Red Deer so I kind of know.

I think camping is one of the funnest things to do. I like camping because my dad lets me explore at night time with my friends. Its also fun at night because its scary, but he lets my bring my BB gun so its not as scary. I also love roasting marshmallows and sit by a fire.
ReplyDeleteI prefer sleeping in a tent because my parents have always put my in a tent when were camping. I also like it more because its way more fun then staying in a camper. I like it more because my parents sleep in a separate tent so my and my brothers stay up all night.
In camping some of the activities I like are riding my bike around the camp sight. I also like to explore the camp sight and forests really late at night. I also like roasting marshmallows and playing cards.

Camping is the best thing in the world! You can play outside and if you're not a fan of tents you can have a camper. I love bugs, fire, marshmallows, hot dogs, smores, mountains and dirt. Tent on the hard dirt and rocks tops the amazing time off and Frisbee. I love every thing that involves camping.
ReplyDeleteI would choose a tent for the full experience of camping. No one likes campers except The Big Ham. I'd rather have a luxury tent style. It's amazing.
My favorite activity is going on walks, running, jogging, climbing trees, Frisbee, catch and monkey in the middle because nature is 5000 times better then video games.

I like camping. Its okay I guess. I like sleeping in the tent and making smores. The only thing I HATE IS THE BUGS! Especially mosquitoes. I have only camped with my family when I was very little. I haven´t gone camping for three years.
ReplyDeleteI would prefer a camper because it is way more comfortable and there is more room in it. A tent is more wild and any second any animal can just come inside while we´re snoring and we´re sound asleep.
I like to play badminton with my dad while I am camping because I am really good at it. I also like to play with a ball. Sometimes I like to play cards while I am sitting next to the fire.

I like camping,but it is not my favourite thing to do. I would rather go to a hotel that has a tent on the bed. Now that would be amazing. If you put a mattress in the tent and gave me a built-in bathroom bug free then I am in. The tent just has to be 20 feat long.
ReplyDeleteI would love to sleep in a camper. It just has to be that one from Barbie that has a bathroom and a kitchen that is bug free and also has a pool that you can dive in. That would be better then a hotel so you can go with your family without complaining and ruining the trip like your pesky sister always does. She will ruin the fun. I warn you.
Playing hide-n-seak is one of my favourite things to do. Then you can leave your little brother. You see first that does not want to be it and ditch him. I also love climbing trees.

I love camping because I go to Moses Lake and I go with my family. Every night we get to roast marshmallows. Sometimes I sleep in the tent or if it's cold I sleep in the camper.
ReplyDeleteI love sleeping in a tent because I like the sounds outside and it's nice and cool. But when we sleep in the tent we bring a air mattress so when we set up the tent we blow it up with a pump it comes with. And it's nice and comfy.
When we go camping we bring a TV and a DVD and movies then we watch them when we eat dinner. We always eat hot dogs and hamburgers and then we have ice cream with nuts and other goodies.
My favourite activities when I'm camping is soccer and football. One time I went on top of our camper. I brought the soccer ball and I kicked the ball and my brother was on the ground and when I kicked it, it hit him in the face and he got a bloodiy nose because the ball was pumped up all the way so it was hard. And I kicked the ball as hard as I could. And my brother's blood from his nose dyed the grass. Then one hour passed by. Then we went swimming for 2 hours then we ate and went to bed.

I love to camp out with friends and family! I love the outdoors and beg to get out whenever I can. See, the thing is, I don't get homesick, carsick, seasick, I get a little thing I like to call... outdoorsick? Instead of getting sick over seas, in a car, or suffering from panic attacks away from home, I always feel... rather ... stuffy, when I'm at home. Sure! I do enjoy being at home sometimes and for special events, but, I'd rather be outside. I know! People usually see me sitting outside with my best friend, Kati, or with my face stuffed in a book. People tend to think I'm either very... bossy, or very mellow (Ha, you thought!) I just don't show that crazy side of me to many people. Don't get me wrong, I can be crazy when I want to...
ReplyDeleteBased on my previous experience with a camper, I would MOST DEFINITELY sleep in a tent. It is less hard and the camper, THE CAMPER, was just horrible! Key word: HORRIBLE! You don't know how many times I banged my head on the table right next to my bed, on the floor.
I've had many experiences camping, so this is going to be a long post. When I "camp" at my farm, me and my friends/family most of the time, run around like maniacs. We go down to the water pump, in the woods, in the wheat field, in the tree house, by the fire, anywhere we can find! My dad lets us ride the motorcycles around the property, of course, me with an adult. When I go "camping" in my cabin, in Washington, I do A LOT. We explore Bellingham, We buy candy at the local candy shop every year,(it's like a tradition) we try new, exodic foods, my mom, brother and sister go to the lodge while me and my sister and dad go swimming, sometimes with our friend Ki and Jetta, who live together(they are married) and are the ones who let us use the cabin. Sometimes, we just enjoy the scenery, walk around, bike around, and observe and acknowledge our surroundings. No fie, no fights. You know, we are very lucky to be able to live where we are. I try not to take that for granted. You should, too.

I love camping because it's really cold in there. My parents won't let me open the window because it's really cold during the night. It's kind of dangerous because last time my family and I was camping there was a freaky bear. I got scratch.

I hated it. I like it because sometimes the top of the tent is wet. It's dripping trough my noes, but the camper is like a house. It's awesome. I would rather pick to go to an hotel than a tent.
I love the activities in camping because it's fun. One of my favourite is marshmallow fight. I made that up, but it's really fun and another thing that I like the beach and the sand because the type of sand they have is so soft and how love the mountain.

I guess I like camping, but you see the problem is that we haven't gone since last summer because I am allergic to LOTS of the things outside: pollen, trees, dust, and much more so yeah I'm not quite sure if I like camping or not.

When we were able to go camping, my favorite activities were drawing the lovely view in my special travel note book, smelling the fresh campsite air (even though I can't exactly do that),and roasting yummy marshmallows.(yum!yum!)

I LOVE CAMPING because in BC and also Edmonton I seen a bear and I love it! I hope I get to go camping this year because I always wake up then I wake my mom up then I get to go walk with my dog Snoopy and it is beautiful!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I play flashlight tag. It is awesome but you have to play it at night or else it will not work and I also play hide and seek with a friend and a flashlight. It is so amazing!!!!!!!.

it is waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too dark because I am terafyd of the dark. The first time I went camping was with snoopy2 and we slept in a camper. It was fun. Snoopy2 said hi to a stranger and when we were leaving she said hi and her mom said what's that. Snoopy2 said that's a person that I met with gracie1on1 while we were hiking and his name is Starsen.

CAMPING IS THE BEST TIME OF THE YEAR!!! It never gets boring NEVER EVER because sometimes it is nice to be out in nature but not forever because I like designing the occasional ROBLOX game with zombies, but I love camping.
ReplyDeleteI prefer sleeping in a tent trailer than anything. It is not going crazy like a fifth wheeler or a motor home because those are houses with wheels and a lisence plate which they don't need because they are houses.
When I am camping I do activities like fetching wood and cutting it with a hatchet, then toss the wood in the fire to burn it. I like doing this activity because my mom lets me eat marshmallows if I do this. I normally burn them on fire. Once I ate one on fire it tasted fiery.
I normally go to Mound Red Park lot #10 for camping (it is in Wetaskiwin County) because it is a good campground but it is pricey for what it is. $25 per unit per night with no services but it has a extreme view. I suggest place #30. It has the best view in the camp ground.

I think camping is bad because I hate the bugs, hate sleeping in a tent. The ground is not good to sleep on. It's like sleeping in the North Pole and I prefer to go to the bathroom, not behind a tree. I prefer to sleep in the camper because it is comfy. You sleep on a bed, not on the ground and the bugs outside, I hate it. I like roasting marshmallows, fishing, play around such as playing with cards.

Camping is the best thing ever. I would go every day if I was allowed, but I'm not. I like to go exploring at like 11pm to 12am. Another thing about camping is you get to eat hot dogs and MARSHMALLOWS. I like going in a tent because it's way cooler. Camping is fantastic. I've gone so many times about 34567898765432123456789876543235678909876543 times. Some people DON'T like camping. Personally I think everyone should love camping. Who doesn't like hot dogs?

I like exploring the forest and playing a bunch of board games and cards, mostly rummy. Whenever I have the chance to play cards I DIDIDIDIDIDIDIDIDIDIDIDIDIDID.

I love camping and to tell the truth, we went camping last week! We bought a trailer that is VERY small. It could only fit one person, but all three of us (my mom, my dad, and me) tried to squeeze in. Oh how I wish to have a motor home. But there are two bad reasons about a motor home. Number one: when the motor home would start driving, then dishes would fall on you with a BIG crash. I don't want that to happen. And number two is that you could only go camping. That is what my dad tells me.
ReplyDeleteThere is two problems with camping. If you go to the bathroom in the trailer, then the whole trailer would stink. that is why we go outside. And the second problem is that I don't get to play my favourite game. It is called City Skylines. When we were driving I asked my dad. Did you bring the computer? I asked. And he told me: No, but why did you ask? OH NO! I WOULD NOT BE ABLE TO PLAY CITY SKYLINES! I exclaimed.
When we went camping we visited a beautiful river. It was clear as a crystal. I could even see through the deepest part of the river. I asked my dad: I think that the river is shallow. Right? And he said no. It looked liked it is shallow, but it is not. When the water is clean, it is like a magnifying glass. All what I did is skip rocks there. My highest score was seven. Later we went to a campground that is near Jasper. We even saw the biggest glashure! My dad told me that it was created when the ice age happened. At the campground I made a little movie that I was lost in a forest and then I found my way home. Later that evening, my mom made a delicious soup on the fire. Then we watched a hilarious movie on our small TV. It was called RV. It is about a man and he wanted to go to Hawaii. Then his boss told him to go to a meeting or else he would be fired. Instead he canceled the trip to Hawaii. When his oldest sister saw the RV she said: OH MY, SOME IDIOT PARKED IN OUR AREA! Then she said: OH IT'S YOUR HUSBAND! She said husband instead my dad. I thought that was funny. I can't tell you any more because I don't want to tell you the whole story. Hope you watch it!
