Do you remember the blog about video games? Have you ever thought about how they are
made? Or how you make animations like walking, shooting and very bizarre dances
like the Floss? Well, there’s a simple answer, coding.
Coding can be done in
different forms. It can be what you might think it is, dragging and placing
tiles to create a sequence of actions to do a simple task. It can also be
software like Excel which looks like a grid with rows and columns. You can
also use something like Python. Python is a computer language in which you type
lines of code and then can be executed by using the Fn (function) key and the F5 key on
your keyboard.
Computer languages that use dragging and placing blocks have limitations though. There are some advanced movements that require writing out lines of code.
All of these examples are types of coding and all of them can
be used to make games. But did you know that there are computer languages
specifically for making games? One of
the most popular ones is called Unity and C#.
In the future I would like to learn Unity and C# but right
now I’m still learning Python with my dad. Every Wednesday my dad and me do a
coding lesson. When I finally learn Unity and C#, I’m going to make Age of War
3!
Do you remember doing Hour of Code in December? That program allowed to just drag and place tiles in certain, just like I said above. Did you enjoy doing that? Did it feel like playing a game? This program is a lot simpler than what my Dad and I do. It's just another way to program.
If you have requests for games, please let me know your ideas. If you could
design your very own game what would it be like? How long do you think it takes
to create a good game? If I made a game would you play it?

BLOGGER OF THE WEEK
It's fun. I like to code and interests me very much. Though I wouldn’t do it for life because that seems boring. It's fun in all but gets boring after a few hours.
ReplyDeleteIf I could design a game it would be about animals and I would call it Foxes and Wolves At War. It's like a battling game where your in packs like squads in Fortnite. You could also dig dens and hide. You would have a king and a Queen, they would be the highest level people in the game at the moment. I'm not sure about the rest of it, it's a work in progress.
I would probably not play blogger's game because they like to play games with gore and weapons. So they'd probably base it on that.

I believe that coding would be a good thing for me because I'm a kid who loves making games and having money.I don't know how to code properly but I usually learn from playing games.
ReplyDeleteIf had a choice to create my own game, the game I would make would be called bubla.io because I don't think anyone made it. It's a game where one of the top world gamers would play because bubla.io is a game where you can do a line split and a pop split.
It depends what game the blogger would make. If it's a game of fighting or war I would play. But if there's blood then I wouldn't. Also I'm not really allow to play blood games that often.

I think if you can do coding you are very patient and talented. Coding does not appeal to me because I am not patient at all.
ReplyDeleteIf I were to make my own game it would be like a cheer game. It would have all sorts of cheer moves.
If blogger were to make a game I might play it. Also it would depend on what game it is. If it was a shooting game I would definitely not play it.

What I think about coding is it is so cool because you can make your own game! And if I had good game I would sell it to thousands of people.

If I was a creator I would make a game called like Treasure Hunt or I can call it Scavenger Hunt.

Coding doesn't interest me because you have to write words that don't make sense.

If blogger were to actually create a game, I would totally play it just as long as I didn't have to code it myself.

I think that typing code will take forever because it has a lot of words and you need to think. But it's interesting and sometimes I understand it but still is hard work for a person.
ReplyDeleteI think what will interest me is making a game for adults and kids because it will be fun for both of them. If I could make my own game in code I would not make it with guns or blood because that scares me so much and it will scare little kids or even grown ups. Instead, I would make something like Roblox.
If the blogger of the week would make a game I would play it a bit because he looks nice but sometimes he likes a bit of fighting games.

I think coding is interesting but it looks like it's hard and I am not really interested. I like games that is fun and interesting. I think coding is no really not my type of game that I would play it. I think some people would like it.
ReplyDeleteIf I would make a game it will be fun and interesting. I do not want to make a boring game or not interesting. And in the game I would not include a gun or a blood. And even I would definitely do not want to make a war or killing stuff. Sometimes I do not really play games because I have taekwondo. And I do not really have time to play games. I like to play a game that is not WiFi included.
If something3000 would create a game I would play it but it depends what game he picked. If it's a cool interesting game I would play.

I think coding is fun. But I don’t think that I can code. I would code but I can’t. I think that people would code in my class. I know it because my class has lots of boys that want to code. This would not really interest me because I love to do cheer and that is all I want to do until I am 22 years old. But at the same time I would love to code just a little bit for like 1 hour on a Tuesday. The blogger codes on a Wednesday for 2 hours.
ReplyDeleteIf I was going to code and make a game I would make it about cheerleading. I would add about 24 people in one team and make all the teams in cheer in my game. I think to make a cheerleading game it will take about 5 months or more but not a year. I hope if I do make a game I will sell it for 10 dollars. I will also make a app and sell it to Google and hope that they will take it. The reason I would make a game is because I want the money and to make the world happy for that game.
If blogger made a game I would no matter what play it because the blogger is my friend and I want to make the blogger happy. And I want to give the blogger money and more.

I would never code because that is super hard! But I would love making a game! I would like to make a game kind of like Club Penguin! I always loved that game! Almost everyday I would play it and role play! Even with my brother and me, we role play too! All until they shut the darn game down because it was forgotten! The app is still there but you can’t get in the game!

I don't really think that I would like to code because me and the
ReplyDeletewhole class looked at a real code page and it was a lot of words, so I don't think that it would be so good for me.
If I made a game I would make a game that you would have to sing to the device that you have and after you're done singing there would be gauges and they would gauge you. They would have zero, one, two or three and it depends on how good you were.
I would play blogger's game but it depends on what it was. If it was crazy and more boys would like it, I wouldn't really play it.

What I think about coding is that it's really nice because I have coded before at my old school. It's really not that boring. Like come on, I did Tinker Lab at my old school when we had it at my old school. I loved that school only if I had a bully who would not stop me from coding.

I think coding looks pretty cool and seems awesome. I feel like this blogger enjoys coding as more than just a hobby. I feel like he treats it like it's special, an important part of life. It's unique and cool. It totally interests me.
ReplyDeleteIf I could create a video game it would be a game related to
Yu-Gi-Oh. As in you would get a beginner monster like Kuribou or Punny penguin and then you would fight monsters, level up and gain XP and buy magic and trap skills.
I would definitely play something3000's game even if it's the worst game in history but it would not be because blogger is atually my friend (my favourite game blogger would make would be a shooting game with lots and lots and lots of blood!!!)

I would love to learn how to code! It is something that interests me very much. I am starting to use Scratch to learn how to code. It is very helpful for beginners. I don't like the concept of video games but I really like to play them and sometimes I play them for a little too long.
ReplyDeleteIf I could design a video game it would be an adventure game. The concept would be that you are a lost survivor stranded in the wilderness and have to use your skills to survive.

I think being able to code is hard for me because we saw what coding is and I was shocked that it was so long and it looks like it would take forever to finish. Coding is probably not something that I can be interested in because like I said it looks like it would take forever and it looks difficult.
ReplyDeleteThe game that I could create using code is a puzzle game because I like puzzles and solving puzzles. It can also wake up your brain and you can learn new words that you haven't known yet.
If the blogger was to create his own game I would think about it first if I'm interested in that game. Maybe it just depends on what that game is, if there's something that I could be interested in I would play it, but if there's some fighting or shooting gun or something I wouldn't be interested in it.
