Gangnam Style Makes Me Crazy

His musik is so werd because it’s in Korean and I don’t understand what he is saying.  His name is Psy and he is from South Korea.  He dances and sings like a goofball!.  It’s so ananying and its been watched 931 million times on Youtube beating Justin Bieber’s record into millions of pieces.

I have watched the Gangnam Style video five times and I do not like it.  I’m not sure why I don’t like it but it doesn’t make much sense to me.  I think the dance is really weird.

Have you watched it?  

He should make real musik like ac/dc back in black or LMFAO.  I like the “Sail” video by AWOL Nation.  I have watched this video about 15 times.  I also like “What I’ve Done” by Linkin Park.  I like alternative music and classic rock.

Movies

Movies are really awesome. I like all sorts of movies. My favorite has to be hmmm I think Batman The dark knight. It is really awesome and it is cool. I have seen the new Batman The dark knight rises. I have also seen Batman begins. It is ok but it just isn't that good. The main bad guy is scarecrow and he isn’t that powerful. His only weapon is hallucination gas. Other y’s he isn’t that great. The dark knight has the Joker and he is awesome. He is kind of weird. He is also messed up in many ways. But I also think that even though he isn’t the most powerful he is the most dangerous because all he wants to do is hurt people bane (Another villain)  wants to destroy gotham. He also needs to comb his hair a lot. I like the part where Bruce wayne is getting attacked by a bunch of rottweilers. Bruce also has a lamborghini. It is super cool.

Another movie I like is lord of the rings. It is so cool. I like the part in the third lord of the rings when Frodo and Sam are on the volcano trying to destroy the ring. The second one is awesome where they fight the army of ork’s.

The movie I hate that most people like is Percy jackson and the olympians. It is super cheesy and it has terrible acting. I really like Harry potter and the prisoner of azkaban. I like the part at the end when professor lupin turns into a werewolf. It is so cool.

I also like Indiana jones alot. I like the first one the lost ark. I like at the end when there faces melt.

I also like the spider man movie especially the third one with spiderman and venom and the sandman. It is super cool. It mainly has to do with Harry finding out that peter parker did not kill his dad. I also like Jurassic park. Which is all about the dinosaurs coming back to life.

I really HATE the second one because it is just too intense  because they think that people will like it if they make it super violent and disgusting(which they all kind of are).

I remember in the third one it has the spinosaurus and it tries to eat every one. I guess the place where the dinosaurs are is isla sorna. there are three islands site a is the safest because all the dinosaurs are in a kind of zoo. Site b is really dangerous all the dinosaurs are roaming free. And site c is basically the same as site b but it is on another island.

I don't like the puss in boots movie at all. It was good the first time until my brothers started watching it a quadrillion times and now it is just annoying. I am kind of running out of ideas about this blog post and what made me think of puss and boots is that my brothers are watching it right now dec 12 2012 5:28 o’clock. 

Star wars is a pretty good movie but I don’t like the first star movies ever made i only like the new ones because the old ones are just weird. I like the newest ones where Anakin turns evil. And where obi one and him are fighting in lava. 

Well I am running out of things to say and I am brain dead so I only have one question what is your favorite movie? but just to let you know I like movies so much and I think they beat books by a billion times five million six thousand and nine hundred forty -two. So add that up and then let me know  because there is no way I am going to add that up It is just too much:(

My Birthday

My birthday was on November 17.  I turned ten years old.

I got a cell phone, two hex-bug nanos, a Beyblade destroyer dome, sixty dollars and a miniature Yorkie pup.  My cake had a snowboarder on it. I will spend my money on her. Her name is Princess. She is only six months old.  When I got home on November 16 I went to my room and she was laying on my bed.

My birthday was awesome.  My birthday party might be near the end of the month.  I am going to the West Edmonton Mall World Water Park.  I have invited my friends: cyberdemon459, skate4life, blackbearx, blackbeltninja and his sister, and angryman42. We can only have two kids per group.

I am going on the Pink slide (Suicide) first. Then I am going on the Toilet Bowl. Then I am going in the wave pool for a bit.  Then I will go on the Blue Bullet.  Then I will go on the sky screamer.  Then I shall go on the Nessie's revenge.

Snowboarding/Skiing

Snowboarding is really fun.  I usually go to the mountains.  The mountains I go to are usually ether Sunshine Villige or Marmot Basin.  That is really all the mountains I have been to but this year we are going on totally different mountains.  And do you know what sucks about going to the mountains is that they are all so far away and it takes at least three hours to get there.  Witch kind of makes me not want go to the mountains. But on the other hand going to the mountains is super fun.

Usually when I am not going to the mountains I just snowboard at the Edmonton ski club. I like snowboarding, but skiing is fun too.  The name of my board is the vandal.  And the brand is K2. 

So I guess that we are going to Snow valley. I am pretty excited for that.  Most of my family skis but me and my dad snowboard. The skill on my snowboard that I am learning right now is toe terns. And they are hard. 

And the other day at the Edmonton ski club I was going down the steepest hill there. At the end they don't really shovel the bottom of the hill. So I spun out and started going in circles. But then I leaned forward and stop'ed right away. It was pretty awesome. 

The bad part about the Edmonton ski club is that they have a T-bar and a toe rope. And of  coarse The toe rope is super slow. But the T-bar hill is awesome except for that the T-bar is hard. Like I mean going up the T-bar. And that it always makes you go side ways.

My Cousin

I have a cousin his name is Trey.  He is just 1 years old.  He is fun to play with.  He likes my brother and me, but sometimes he is cranky.  He doesn't listen to him mom, his dad and my nana.   He also likes playing outside, his favorite game is Peek-a Boo.  

He likes cleaning up when his mom tells him to.  He knows how to clean up his mess such as his toys.  

The first time me and my Aunty fed him, he made a big mess.  My Aunty had to clean it up.

Bikes

Don’t you wish you can ride your bike more often? Don’t your parents ever say that you have to do your chores and then when you finally finish its to late to ride. It sucks when you have been waiting all this time to get 5 minutes to get your bike and ride and by the time you get your bike out its time to go back into the house.

I hate it when my sister always pesters me saying that she doesn't get as good of a bike as me and always says ‘WHEN DO I GET TO RIDE YOUR BIKE?!’ So I said that I will try to get her one. 

One time I went on a 10 km bike ride and it took me about a  half an hour and it is so easy to do with 21 different gears to switch into. It is also easy to do it when your bike is made of aluminum, because it is a light metal.

I love riding my bike, because it is like riding a motor bike. It is all fun if you have a proper bike and techniques.

Cars

I think cars are awesome. There are lots of cool cars (and bad ones).

The fastest car is the Bugatti Veyron.  It can reach 100 km in 3.7 seconds.  

I am not a fan of the Ferrari 458 Italia because it is really weird.  Some people think I am crazy because I don't like that car.  (Some of the oldest cars were all convirtible and black:)

Sometimes I wonder if I am going to have a 5 000 000 dollar car or a 10 000 dollar car? I never want to be the guy with the worst car in the world.

I even got to ride in a Lotus Elise which is a 90 000 dollar car.  I got to ride in it over the summer. My moms friend own’s it.

My favorite car is the Porsche Cayman.  It is about 70 000 dollars and it is so cool.  I also like the Lamborghini Sesto Elemento which is a crash course car.  Thay drop it 50 feet in the air and it doesn't even leave a scrach.

Sharing a Room

I have to share a room with my younger sister. Every night she says,”are you going to sleep?” or,”Do you want to play a game?” or,” HELP ME I’M SCARED OF THE DARK!!!”Then she will tell jokes that aren’t even funny. And when she need’s to go to the bathroom  she has to go upstairs. Even though we have a bathroom right across the hall.

The mess she makes it’s terrible. She doesn’t help clean up. I’m the one who cleans up everything. My parents make  us clean our room because they can’t walk in it. While I clean up, she just sit’s on her bed and plays with her stuffies.
 
My dream is to have my own room. If I had my own room I would  have a huge bed and I would not have pink all over.

Siblings

I've always wanted  to be a big sister.  After nine years my dream will finally come true.  Any day now my baby sister will be born. My Mom, Dad and Grandmam are bringing me to the hospital to see my sister born. I am soo EXCITED!!!

I have always thought having a sibling would be awesome.  Some people say siblings are really annoying.  But I still think it will be fun.  Anyway all familys can be annoying sometimes.  I think any sibling or siblings could be annoying if they get into your stuff and won’t listen.

Being an only child can be lonely.  Now that I have a sister coming, I’m excited for all the things we can do together.  Like:  watch movies, play games, go to the park, play with are cats and go swimming together.  I’m excited  to be a good role model and teach my sister to be polite and kind, and also how to pull some good pranks on our parents!

Bullies

Bullies are really mean to other kids.  I don’t really get bullied, but I seen my friends get bullied. Sometimes my friends get mad.  And sometimes my friends fight back.  Bullies make them feel sad.  My friends fight back by calling them names.  Why do bullies do this?  It's not cool.  

I think the reason why this is happening is because they have a hard time at their house or at school.  Sometimes when the kids are bullied they end up feeling like they did something wrong, but they didn’t.  The bullies have fun picking on other kids.  I don’t know why, it's dumb.  

A girl in British Columbia was bullied so much that she committed suicide.  She was only 15.  It makes me feel very sad for her, because she had a lot of life ahead of her.

I think bullies should stop picking on kids and get a life.

The Name Bob

At home my little brother has these books that help you learn how to read. And the whole company is called Bob Books. They have this really weird dumb guy with a umbrella.

It is so weird. I was laughing so hard.  Imagine Bob just walked into the classroom saying hello kids you want some apple juice. And everyone  ignored him:[.....

Bob and Joe are secret agents. In one of the books Bob was driving a Bugatti Veyron. Oh, Joe is Bob's friend. Joe has fallen off a 1000000000000 kilometre cliff. And didn't even get hurt : ]

Maybe someday I can bring them to school. That would be awesome.

My little brother hates them. Once he had to do his reading he tried to throw them in the garbage. And he did. My mom found out like 2 hours later. He got in big trouble. :[......

Marty Chan

Marty Chan came to our school to help us write suspense stories for a week.  On the first day I was shy but after awhile it got better.  I wrote three pages and I’m sure that my class mates had more or less.  He taught us games and tips on how to write a story.  It so fun I wish he could come back again.

My favourite part about Marty Chan was when he played the Lying Game.  It was where you write down four statements about yourself.  Three have to be true and one is a lie.  The goal is to try and trick the other person into picking the lie.  One of the strategies to make them believe the lie is to make it sound really true.

Halloween

I can’t wait for Halloween.  It’s going to be so much fun getting free candy.  It’s not all the time you get free candy.  This year I’m dressing up as the character from Scream.  You know, he’s the guy that has blood dripping down his face all the time and his mouth is always wide open like he’s screaming.  

I’m going trick-or-treating with my best friend Michael.  We usually bring three or four black garbage bags and fill them to the top.  

I hope I get at least one full bag of Oh Henry chocolate bars.  After all the trick-or-treating, we will go home and sort out the candies as the same kind.  I can’t wait to eat candy for breakfast.  After we eat candy for breakfast we eat it for snack, lunch, and dinner.

Thanksgiving Day

Thanksgiving is coming up soon!! Thanksgiving is awesome because of three things: food, family and a fun long weekend!!!! 

First let’s talk about the food. In Thanksgiving you get turkey, stuffing and my very favourite PUMPKIN PIE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 

Now let’s talk about family. When Thanksgiving happens, my uncle Lester and my aunt Lauren come over. When Aunt Lauren and Uncle Lester come over, we eat a lot like I said earlier. A lot of other people come too such as my nana, Uncle Brian, Aunti Tami, Uncle Kyle, my grandma and my grandpa, and my cousins Neko and Lainey. Pav and Honny come over sometimes too.

Now we can talk about the long weekend!!! The long weekend is one of my favorite parts of Thanksgiving. You get to miss school on the long weekend and that’s why I like it. Thanksgiving is awesomely awesome!!! I hope you have an awesome Thanksgiving! And maybe an awesome Christmas too! Hehe!

Chrome Books

Our school has recently purchased 40 Chrome books to begin replacing our old Computer Lab.  A Chrome book is very similar to a laptop except it is stripped down to its bare bones.  It really is just a way to get onto the Internet.  

The students have been very excited to use the Chrome books.  It was a little difficult at first to figure out how to use them.  There is no mouse and they had to get used to a touch pad.  Also, many of the students are just getting used to learning how to type.  However, I think the general consensus is that they are a lot faster than the ancient ones in the Computer Lab.

A funny thing about the Chrome books is what we call the cart that holds them.  It is a "cart-on-wheels" or affectionately known as a C.O.W.  We have a brown cow (C.O.W. 1) and a black cow (C.O.W. 2).  This had led to many cow jokes, including a lot of "moos" and pulling the cows from the "pasture."

It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year...

A few years ago there was a Staples commercial on T.V. where the popular Christmas song, "It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year" was playing and a father was skipping up and down the aisles while his two kids were dragging their feet and looking very dejected.  If you haven't seen it or don't remember, here's your refresher.  Although I get a chuckle from it every time, I wonder if that's the prevailing attitude of most kids.

I think teachers are usually super excited to begin every year.  We look forward to meeting new students, teaching new concepts and having fun with our class. Although I'm sure some won't admit it, I think that many students also look forward to going back to school.  There's something exciting about having the opportunity to start over, the smell of new school supplies and the chance to make a good, positive beginning to the year.

Well to be more exact 10 164 [when I lasted checked].  But PARTY!!! And for you guy’s from somewhere around the world here’s how it works: ever since we started this blog we set goals for views.  Each time we made our goal  we threw a PARTY to celebrate.  Usually we grab a few sodas and watch a movie but it’s worth it.  But to throw a BIG PARTY we would need:  soda, popcorn [butter and regular] , chips [barbeque would be most preferred], disco ball, dance floor, punch, a d j [or band], cake [something like a wedding cake would do] and movie screen [with a actual big screen movie} something like The Avengers or Real Steel would be epic].

 But if we were to have REALLY BIG PARTY we should go to somewhere like this:

1.Hawaii. [Take us]

2. West Edmonton mall for a shopping spree [you pay for it all]

3. Galaxy land.

4. Movie [action is most preferred [You pay for snacks]

5. Bowling [you pay for any fees or Stuff Like that].

I have more but I wanted to keep this short.  So basically Big ham pays for every thing.

Mini Euro Cup

You know how the Euro Cup is coming up in Poland on Friday?  At our school we had a similar sort of thing.  There were thirty-two teams, one for every country in Europe.  Every team had kids from [(our school!)], [another school I'll call RP], [and the last school I'll call RT].  In total, there were about 750 kids.  Talk about a lot!  Anyway, I was on the team Belgium, and it was just my luck I ended up on the same team as my sister. ;)  On a completely unrelated note, we made it to the last three games!  We only lost three of the many we played.  The only goal I got in the whole day was on T.V.!

I made two new friends, one from [RT] and one from [RP], and talked and laughed all the times we weren’t playing soccer.  We played that game were you pat your legs twice, then do one of the actions, shoot, shield or reload, with the rest of the team, as well as ourselves.  

I got hit in the face twice (by the same person) on the first and last games we played.  My friend from [RT], I think, was the one who hit me. The first time, we both kicked the ball, and it went up, landing on my left cheek and half open eye.  The second time, we both kicked, the ball went up and landed on my right cheek and side of nose.  I’m going to finish that thought with... OUCH. 

I think the best part of that day was the freezies.  Everyone loves freezies.  I know it’s really bad for me, but I had... ba ba baba! THIRTEEN!  I didn’t even feel sick after!  Yes, I do know it is really, really bad for me, and I know I said that twice, but freezies are so good! I love freezies!

Summer Beach Vacation

Last year and again this year, we are going to Penticton. We always go boating and tubing and jump off the boat. It is really fun. The first year that we got the boat was last year. I really like the boat. We camp right by the beach. Last year in Penticton there was a HUGE wind storm. Like I mean boats were falling into each other, buoys were going everywhere, even awnings were flying out of the ground. It was so strong, that my dad had to drive the boat to the marina very slowly and safely. Now back to the good parts of the vacation. Whenever we drove the boat to the marina to fill up with gas, we would go drive the boat to the other side of the lake. (The lake was called Skaha Lake) We would always drive the boat REALLY FAST. We also went tubing. We didn’t do it a lot because it was always a little bit wavy. So that didn’t make it very fun. Although I do remember going on it once. That time we almost got flipped. (Meaning we almost flipped over into the water) We also went go karting in Penticton. We went on a short track. I always tried to get the fastest go kart there. Even though there was two really fast go karts I normally only want a certain one. (That was because one of them had Barbie on them) Normally the faster ones were the double people ones.

I want to know if you have had any fun boating/beach vacations.

Ramblings of a 12-Year Old…

Another day, another post.  First, if you have a playstation3 GET LITTLE BIG PLANET YOU WONT BE SORRY.

So... you still there... alive? While I made this post I was playing spite cannon 2 so let’s talk about it.  It is on addicting games. In this game you have to shoot shapes with a cannon and earn money for upgrades. 

NOOOOO I lost taste accuracy.  Oh um sorry bout that.  Just too many sour candies make my tongue go all tasteless.  It's not as bad as it may seem.

Also try arcade pre-hacks it is very fun/easy.

It's a peculiar question to ask, what is this "MINECRAFT"?  I saw a recent post about it but I need images. (comments)

Today I got Mario Kart 7 ("YAY") and still have not finished the post so now I have to do it now.

Me and fraq-attack and diddley-squat (I may have spelled that incorrectly) had a water fight.

Round 1: water balloons (sometimes they did not break) we teamed up.   Me and fraq-attack, my bratty brother and dibbly no, diddly-squat as teams.  We made barricades and made balloons, then we started, brat attacked me but it did not break (mwa ha ha) so fought back I did.  

Round 2: water guns. We had 1 clip each. It was all out.

I, now I do not understand why people eat pizza WITH MORE THAN CHEESE AND SAUCE tell me in my comment box.

Tests

            I hate tests.  You probably hate them to.  The reason I hate tests is because you have to study.  Even though I do not study, I still hate tests.  I usually get a 79% on a test.  But it is because I don’t study.  Usually in French spelling tests I get them all right.  There has only been a couple of times that I do not get all of them right.  I think the reason I do so good in French is because I like French.  I do not like math that much, I really do not like social or science.  I like math because of what we do in math, but when it comes to tests it is like I did not even learn it.

The reason I hate tests is because you have to study for them.  I have better things to do like playing video games

Being the Blog Poster

I don’t really know if some you guys or girls whatever you prefer um really like being the blog poster because you have to miss recess’s and all that until it’s done.  Anyways I really don’t like it because I don’t find it any fun so I thought I should tell you and you guys would probably comment on what you think of being the blog poster.  I guess it would be fun to be the blog poster at times when you really want to but I was hoping Small Iahk wouldn’t of picked me when you have to pick some one’s name in the cup without looking.

There’s one thing I like though which is seeing what other people wrote for their blog post they wrote like what we should do for the field trip or something and that one about zombies baaha that was a little weird I think but not really because zombies are awesome. 

The reason I’m talking about “Being the Blog Poster” is because I didn’t really have a clue about what I was going to write about so once my friend, Willy Wonka asked me I just thought if it right away so then I told him about it and why I was going to talk about it.   

So about now I should be hitting the old dusty road so there’s this one last question - um what do think of being the next blog poster D:?

Subjects

  Every day from Monday to Friday we have subjects, like Physical Education (Phys Ed), Music, French, Art, Health.  Here are the most important subjects: Mathematics, Science, and Social and of course Language Arts.  Everyone here knows we go to school to learn new things, for example we need to learn about the past about what happen, and then begin asking questions.  You have to ask questions like who was involved, where did this event happen, why did this happen.  Then everybody needs to learn about the present and the future, we need to know the present because we need to see what people need to do, if there is an event going on.  We don’t really need to know about the future but it is nice to know because, and I am only going to type this once. If you live up to your ninety’s the municipal government will read out a letter from the past that has been in a time capsule. Since the twentieth century or the nineteen hundreds which can also be used here.

  Okay I will begin with a subject that everyone likes, which is Physical Education.  Physical Education is a very fun subject because when it is not rainy or snowy students have outdoor activities.  For example students can participate in ultimate football (just like ultimate frees bee) or soccer and little game that everyone likes to play, is birdie.  But the Physical Education is not all playing sports and having fun. It is also about learning the rules of the game and how to play the game and you should also be developing the skill which is required for the game.  For example you need to throw a football correctly, proper form for landing in gymnastics.  From these skills you should be able to use them in the real world.

  Here is subject that some people are a tiny bit chatty about, and that subject is Music.  I like Music, it is a nice subject because we sing, play instruments and learning more and more about the art of music.  It is really fun, especially when we watch movies then write some kind of an essay about what we have learn from the movies.  Another thing that was fun well what I thought was fun is singing in the concert.  In this subject we have to develop a skill, which everyone is good at and that is singing.  We also need to learn to play an instrument for example a recorder. Playing the recorder can be a real joy and that goes the same with every instrument.

  Here is a subject that requires a lot of listening and memory, and that subject is French.  In Canada students have to learn at least a second language whether it would be Spanish, French or Mandarin.  At our school, students in division two have to take French, sometimes to learn a second language, can be complicated.  In French we learn new things like food, animals, cities and much more.  Once we have finished a unit students would have to do some kind of project like for food we do skits.  For animals we would do a power point and for cities we would do a poster.

  This is one of my favorite subjects and that is art, art is described in so many ways.  Art is beauty, passion and you can let out your expressions whether it would be love, anger and even jealousy.  But there is more than one kind of art because there is the art of music and to me there is even an art of a writing piece.  When we do art that is another skill that has to be developed.  Since I have a lot of to typing to do I am going to have to cut some paragraphs down.    

  Health is a very nice subject because we can discuss our problems whether it is out of school or in school and after we will have learned a lesson.  For example we have learned a lessoned on Thursday, May-03-2012.  We will have all learned a lesson to be the same person in school and out of school rather than be a good student in school and be a bad person out of school.

  This is a subject where we have to evolve with numbers every day in the real world.  I think you can guess this one, that’s right it is Mathematics, now this subject is one of the most important as you already know from my introduction paragraph.  We all deal with numbers every day; we tell time, looking at page numbers for any subject, and money, and even changing the television channel.

   At my school in grade five and six have Science and Social every day.  Science is another important subject that we need to learn in the real world, because we need to know about trees and the forests and how air works and how electricity works.  Science is everywhere no matter where you go, science is at home, jungles, cities and space. 

  Social is more like history or the past can also be a word that can be used and the present.  We need to know how democracy first started and we need to know what is happening in the Legislature.  We need to know these things to answer them to use this knowledge in the real world.  Now you know that Mathematics, Science and Social are three important subjects but there is still one more. 

  The last subject which is very important, and that is Language Arts, Language Arts is very important subject.  It is important because this subject helps us to read and write it helps us to understand the meaning of new and strong words.  Helps us to be better writers for example, from writing small paragraphs we write bigger and stronger paragraphs.  We need to learn how to read because it helps us, and we need to know how write, to communicate to others sometimes, and write our assignment for our daily class.

 

  Now you should know why we go to school, and one other thing is that Mathematics, Science, Social and language Arts are the core subjects which means they are the most important subjects, that is all.

End of the Year Bash

At the end of the year we do something like going to an outdoor water park or go to Rundle Park if you’re in division 2.  My favourite thing I have ever done is the Rundle Park field trip.  One of my favourite parts is that when we go there we don’t go on a bus, we ride our bikes down a bike trail.  The best thing is it is pretty much all down hill.   There is one thing I do not like about it - going back up the hill.

Rundle Park is a pretty big park.  There are ponds and we get to go paddle boating, mini golfing and there are bike trails all around.  It is really fun.  I hope we get to do it again.

Then last year we got to go to an outdoor water park and that was fun because we got to bring water guns and there was a big park to play in.  We played lots of game like Grounders and Zombie tag, and other games.

I really hope we do Rundle Park again.  It was probably one of the best field trips I have ever been on.  Tell me which one you would prefer and what’s a fun field trip you have been on.

Cell Phones

I think that I should have a phone.  But my parents will not let me have a phone. I think that children ten and up should be able to have a phone.  I think that everybody should have a phone in case of an emergency.  But I do get that if you get hurt at school, there is sure to be someone who will phone your parents.  But what if you get hurt and nobody is there to phone your parents.  What would you do then?  Would you just sit there until somebody comes?

In class you should be able to have phones. I think that we should be able to have phones in class because then we could text our friends. The only thing though is that if we were allowed to have phones in class, everbody would be texting and then we would all get our phones taken away.

   I want to know if you agree with me.

SMART Board Seizures

My classroom's SMART board has been flickering blue from grade 4 to NOW!!  One time this year, the SMART board screen turned METALLIC, and I don't mean a nice and normal screen, IT WAS A BRIGHT PURPLE!!!!!!  The Big HAM is wondering when someone will get a seizure from the SMART board.  >:D  Ok, so back to the blue-tinted screen.  The Big HAM is trying to get the SMART board to tint its screen blue and flicker so then The Big HAM can record the video, BUT, its like the SMART board is watching our every move. When The Big HAM tries to get the SMART board to tint its screen blue and flicker, it stops flickering.

There was a time in grade 4 when it flickered like crazy.  But one day this year during math, the SMART board was flickering, then The Big HAM had brought out a video camera, turned it on and set it on the SMART Document camera, but then the SMART board stop flickering. Now, we need MORE witnesses to tell the Tech guy that THE SMART BOARD IS FLICKERING!!! Ok?

Summer Fun

Well I when I got picked to be blogger of the week, I had NO idea what I was going to do. So then I thought, well what do I do in the summer? ………………..

I travel!

Every year in the summer we (as in my family) go visit our family in well pretty much every were. It usually takes us about……5 days to there and back.  What we do is we usually go to Regina to Massy to Parry Sound to Berry Ontario to Toronto. Well we don’t go to Toronto any more because that’s were my grandma lives and she just goes down to massy to visit, but this year we are going to visit her there.

I also love going out there because almost all of my family lives on the farm, like my great grandpa in Massy.  He has a dog named daisy and even owns pigs. I also loved it there because my Great Grandma was a great cook.  But the only reason why he keeps pigs is because he uses them for the pig roast we have every year (It’s kind of like a family reunion). But ever since two years ago I never ate one pig. Because Grandpa said that he wanted some family time with me and my sister, and I thought that he would take us fishing or something.

So we started walking and talking and before I knew it I was standing in front of the slaughter House!!!!!  And all I could think was “GET ME OUT OF HERE” so when we walked in all I saw was a dead pig in the middle of the table.

Then he asked my sister to saw off the leg.  THEN he wanted a picture with both of us holding the pig’s leg!!!  ……I never ate a pig at my great grampus farm again!

And at my aunty (who owns a farm in Parry Sound) used to have a Husky dog but he got hit by a car when they were on vacation.  But they own their own pond, which is awesome!!!   

 

But anyway back to the hole point of this story, this year is different, my sister is flying out to see my other aunty and the rest of us are going to go down to America up to Canada again and then all the way back again! I’m exited because I never went out of Canada before so this is new.

That was my summer story, can’t wait to see yours!

The New Hundred Dollar Bill

Last year my life was amazing with money, Until…. It happened….the most terrible thing was made… (other than my mom) those bad hundred plastic bills. But there are bad things about them and good things to debate about.  First of all I will start with the bad side.  Bad things about the bills are that if you put it in your wallet, it does not crease.  Plus everyone I know says if you don’t like them you’re dumb. Another terrible and horrible things are that they kill the environment.  I nickname them enviromurderers.  There are a disscrase to Mother Nature!  They cost a lot of money when they try to make them too.  The biggest issue is that the poor paper, recyclable, creasible hundred dollar bills are gone and token over by worst thing alive!  The money wasting, un-creasible ,enviromurderers! 

But now for the good side of the debate.  The good thing is that it is waterproof.  Because you don’t want your little child or childs saying: “Look daddy, I made you a money boat or something.  Also you cannot rip it.  You also don’t want your little child or children ripping it in half saying: “Look daddy, I you now have two fifties when you say you need two fifties.  Because you have the plastic bills, you can put a end to the old, ripped, crumbled old bills.  Now you have the fresh, new, clean, un-ripped, friendly bills.  I am thinking that the main reason that they made the plastic bills are that there would no fake or scammed money.  There is on more thing I have to tell you about the bills, they would always look fresh.  BUT I STILL HATE THEM.       But that is also my opinion.  I really want you to hear your opinions so let them comeing!  Till now…..WAIT!  Before you give your opinion to me you have to think….aren’t I amazing!?  (No joke.  Aren’t I?)

Duff

This week I got chosen to do a blog post. I COULD NOT think of anything, but on Tuesday March 19^th I was petting my dog Duff and thought, why not do a blog about him? So here it goes. My dog Duff is a Golden Retriever cross, He weighs about 98 pounds. He has a huge smile. The most unique feature about him is his paws. My dog has what we like to call `` Doctor Suess feet``. What I mean is, he has four-inch puffs of fur between his toes just like the Grinch. The difference between the Grinch and Duff is that Duff is the cutest (in MY opinion) dog in the whole world. One time my friend was over and when she walked in the house she had a huge fear of dogs, but when she left- she loved dogs!!!!

So, when you see Duff when he is tired you think awwwww, how ADORIBLE!!! But when you see him play. Lets just say that we have bought many band-aids because of him.  Another annoying/funny thing about Duff is that whenever my mom sends him in my room to wake me up, he just gets on the bed and sits right on top of ME.

Kony 2012

Here, fellow friends I am going to talk to you about the Kony 2012 project.  The Kony 2012 project is about a person named Joseph Kony. And we want to make him famous, not to celebrate him, but to arrest him.

Mr. Kony is a criminal, he is a criminal because he is wanted for many accounts (some of which I could not find).  Why we want him arrested is because he kidnaps children from Gulu, Uganda and slaves them, making them child soldiers.   Joseph Kony has an estimated amount of about 104 000 children and forced most of those children to kill there parents. Also if the children don't command his orders, he kills them or severs their limbs.

If you look up ''the kony project'' on YouTube (there is also many other websites like www.kony2012.com or www.invisblechildren.com) a video will pop up that is half an hour long. And each of the views brings more and more awareness to the Kony 2012 project.  Also, as of March, 12 2012 the YouTube video currently has 74 million views.

Many people are hitting the streets also by putting up posters, stickers on bikes or phones or even making clubs to donate money to the cause.

The man who started the video of Joseph Kony is named Jason Russell, and he making a huge difference to the world we live in today.

Social

I hate social.

Social is my worst subject.

ANYTHING else Math, Science, Music, ANYTHING but social.

I dont even under stand why we have to learn social in the first place.  I dont like social because I dont like fill-in the blank sheets and its SOOOOO BORING.

What really bites about social is after the test everything I learn sticks in my head.

AFTER THE TEST.

The only thing that's good about social is I play a game called Civilization III that teaches you a bunch about social.  In fact THE BIG HAM asked me a question (I dont remember the question) and I got it and THE BIG HAM said how did you know that? I said video game.

The Grade Six’s Debate

First of all a debate is when two groups of people meet together and argue about any kind of topic they want.  The topic can be something important to the world, country, province, city, neighborhood, park, or school.  For example, they could debate that the provinces should have MEGA SCHOOLS that go from kindergarten to grade 12.  The two groups of people can also debate how much it would cost for the MEGA SCHOOLS how much room would it take or how long it would take to organize.  Those are examples of what a debate is, now let’s move on.

A couple of months ago grade six students went on a fieldtrip spending a week at the Legislature.  During the fieldtrip we did Mock Leg; Mock Leg is when we act out a meeting and debate just like the MLA’s (Members of the Legislative Assembly).  The grade six debated about banning cars once a month.  This law meant that nobody can use their own personal cars once a month; they can use public transportation like taxis, buses, and trains.  I’ll just say this one more time, people could not, REPEAT, could not use their own personal car once a month. 

Each grade six student had to write something that says that this law is useful and good and something that is against the law and bad.  Many people that I knew were against this law for many different reasons.  For the people that are against this law here are some examples of bad things, people being late for work, not being able to make it to someone’s birthday, anniversary, special occasion, and most importantly a family EMERGENCY.  When we first decided to debate on banning cars once a month I was totally against it because what if someone can’t make it to an important family EMERGENCY.  Even though we had a script, it was a great debate. 

Now, I’ve been talking about the bad things of this law here are some good things.  First of all if we had this law, it would cut back on pollution and that is a very good thing because believe it or not, pollution affects our world sixty-eight percent.  Another good thing is that if you use public transit, you can sit back and don’t even have to worry about the road; you can chat with the person beside you and make a new friend and also chat with your family.

Another debate we had at City Hall was, should we have more handicap parking?  I thought that it was a great idea and some people agreed but many chose to disagree.  Again there was a good debate; here are some of the good things they said, more people are getting disabled because of old age or other factors so it would help them if there were more reserved parking.  A bad thing was that, some argued that those people don’t even use the handicap parking; I disagreed because where ever I go I see handicap people using the parking stalls.
