French Plays

I think the French play was really fun.  I was really nervous when I was acting but it was okay in the end.  There was a lot of people watching and I didn't want to mess up my lines. I think it was cool even though you may not have known what they were saying.  We heard stories like:

1: The Three Little Pigs
2:  L’Arbre Ungali (a tree story)
3:  Louis La Grenouille (a frog story).

Here are some questions:

1:  Did you understand it?
2:  Did you like it?
3:  What was your favourite part?

My favourite part was the grade six play and our play (the grade 4 play). I played the third pig who liked to dance. I owned the house of bricks and obviously, it did not fall down.

Did your family like it when they were watching or if they didn’t, do you think they would like it?  Were you excited to watch the French play or would you rather watch trained actors act in English?

I was excited for the French play and I also like normal plays.  Some people find it weird for other people in the school to speak French.  Probably because they’re not used to it.  If you speak French then it would be cool to hear the stories and understand it.

  1. I thought that the French plays were very impressive but since I am in the German program I really didn't understand it. My favourite part was in the frog play and my favourite character was the genie.

I think that acting is hard but really fun. Speaking of, I am going to Orlando, Florida for this program called the Premier event. The categories that I chose are singing and acting. The only part of the event that I don't want to do is my monologue.

Anyway I definitely think that all grades 4, 5, and 6 did a great great job I sure loved it.

  2. i think the French plays were fun and I played the first little pig with the green guitar. And i had stage fright but I was fine. But I got something wrong when saying not by the hair of my chiny chin chin. I didn't really understand but it was fun.

My favorite part is when in the grade 5 play they tripped over the rock. Well it was fun and thats all.

  3. I have always taken interest in acting and drama and I can't wait to take it. My mother is a professional actor, but she doesn't act in real movies which is because I always wanted to see somebody I know in a real movie. Maybe I'll see myself in a movie one day.

I wasn't there for the French play (or otherwise I don't remember because that's been happening a lot lately), so I didn't get to see but it's always the same thing every year and it gets boring especially when someone can't understand it (P.S. the person who doesn't understand is ME). I have never been on a stage while acting something out (except for when I'm Tap, Ballet or Hip Hop dancing at the Year End Show or a competition). But I want to someday!

  4. I did not really understand it but a bit. I really did not understand anything only the simple things.

I kinda liked it but it was not that good because I did not understand it that good.

My favorite part is the three little pigs because I really know the whole entire words.

  5. Yes I did understand it. Because I was in it. I liked it a lot because
    1. I was in it for the second time.

My favourite part was when the Louis La Grenouille was singing.

I was the second little pig (AKA the Deuxime petite cochon.) I was the pig that was listening to music.

  6. I don't really understand French plays because I don't take French class but the acting is pretty good from what I understand.

My favorite part was the animal story even though I couldn't understand it but I liked the moral of the story and how only the turtle didn't trip and forget the name of the tree because he was careful and slow.

  7. I don't know how the French plays went. I was sick. It made me sad that I missed the plays but I know it was for my own good. I wish I could at LEAST see them!

I understood the French Plays inside and out! I practiced it for two months! I was soooooooooooooo excited to perform... and then I got sick. I felt so sad that I was missing out on something I had practiced for two months.

I'm pretty sure the French Plays were good. I don't know. I WAS'NT THERE!!!!!!! If they were good, someone please tell me, I would like to know.

I cannot determine my favourite part due to lack of me seeing it. Instead of me being there to preform, 3ds took my place as nararater. Other nararaters include:

    1. ediblepaper (me)
    2. fatblockofcheese
    3. 3ds

If I had the chance to become an actor, I probably would try it out first. If I enjoyed it, I would become an actor.

  8. The French plays were awesome this year (mainly because I was in it)! Everyone did a great job, and there was a great audience! Good job to everyone who did the play! Well yes of course I should mention, Me, fatblockofcheese, and ediblepaper were narrators. But sadly, ediblepaper was not there for their turn. Along with, Charzard, thepinkgirl, and The Big Burger, as the third little pig. Also with other people in the play.

Mainly my favourite part was hanging out back stage, it was really fun! I hope everyone else had fun!

  9. I have a lot of thoughts on acting. Personally, one of the things I want to do when I grow up is acting. Also I am going to take acting lessons too! Remember When my friend, the big burger, talked about french plays and about trois petit cochon (The three little pigs)? Well I was in it. I was the narrator!!! Along with ediblepaper and 3DS. Sadly though, ediblepaper wasn't here for her day to perform. So 3DS took her place. And since I was in the play, I in fact, understood it. On the other hand, I kind of didn't understand Arbre Ungali and Louis la Grenouille. And kind of did!

Thanks to my French teacher! (me yelling thank you). I loved the french plays! And so did my stepdad and my little two year old brother!

My favourite part was (sorry if this sounds kind of selfish) when I got to preform! It was also a little bit scary! But once I took a deep breath I was ok! Soon, I think I will perform some more! well thanks for reading my comment! Stay tuned for more! (theme song).

  10. So the first question
    1.did you understand it
well of course I did because I was in the play so I knew well pretty much some of the words like un and deux and trois and that's it
    2.did you like it
well it was good but the real three little pigs story has no pigs that play rock and roll or something, listening to music, and me dancing so it was good but not amazing.
and the 3rd thing is that I like the part when I got to do my thing for the three little pigs.

and I guess I like acting but people think that I am annoying when I want to act but I like acting plus dancing!!!!!

  11. I liked the French plays but I could't understand any of IT. But i did like the 3 little pigs ah I love pigs. But really favourite part was when the wolve tried to blow down the brick house and the wolve could't and he was like bkyfrvtbtbwyeuctbqxui! Another part that I liked was when the gini was like dant dan da saym ma.

  12. I think the play was O.K. I just didn't understand it. Maybe I would have liked it even more if I could have understood it. I think the classes really worked hard and I could see that and that's why I enjoyed it! They worked hard on learning the lines.

I don't speak French I speak German and the French class would not understand a play if we did one in German.

My favourite part was the three little pigs and the frog story was funny too. I understood the three little pigs more although I didn't. I didn't understand what they were saying but I already know the story so I new what was going on. I didn't really know the frog story all I new was there was a lot of singing.

It was very enjoyable and I hope they do it again next year!!!

  13. I love the French plays they were very very cool. I wish I could understand it but I really did not do anything I just sat there and watched. I did understand a bit but not all of it some people messed up. But a couple friends played in the plays and it was funny.

My favourite part was the grade five play when they fell over the rock.
And that's all for now bye.

  14. I could't understand anything because I'm not French I'm German. To me it sounded like blah blah blah blah blah blah blah done. I rather have trained actors and in English because I want to understand it. My favourite part was the three little pigs because I knew it in English so I could trancelat it. I have stage fright so I don't think I could do acting.

    1. You're half French/half German

Just remember "Il lance ... et compte!" (He shoots ... and scores!) and you'll be OK... ;)

  15. The French play was awesome. It was fun to act because my mom was there when it started. I was a little bit nervous at first but in the end was pretty fun. I acted on a Christmas concert and it was pretty fun , I liked it very much and my parents also liked it too so they gave me a present. My present was a big candy cane. I loved the french plays especially the frog story. My mom said I did pretty well at acting.

  16. I think the french plays were good.

I kind of saw what was going on but I could not understand it.

I did not have a favourite part because I liked all of them. I liked the three little pigs, L'Arbre Ungali(a tree story) and Louis La Grenouille(a frog story).

  17. I mostly understood the french plays because i've already seen two of them: The Three Little Pigs and Louis La Grenouille (the frog one).

I liked it, it was good to see such young talent and I think it is an amazing to see kids show off their work and language.

    My favourite parts were:
    1. the "theme song" in Louis La Grenouille
2.All of The Three Little Pigs
3.The turtle carefully steping over the rock in (L'Arbre Ungli)

I love acting it is amaze. About two years ago I did I HAVE TO GO PEE!!! By Robert Munch. I played the car door and I voiced the part where the boy yells I have to go pee because the person who played that role was uncomfertable yelling because his voice sounded like a horse that was barfing while yelling. Son you get it he was HORRIBLE.

  18. I like the French plays. I didn't see the plays because I was the last actor in the French play. '' Three Little Pigs''. I enjoyed being an actor. I was a little scared. My favorite part was when the wolf was in the pot.

  19. I do not really like acting because I do not wanna have to remember my lines and also because you have to rehaerse it like 7.000.000 times!!

And yes I totally understood it ( not all of it) well the parts I know because I am in French class with The Big Burger and other people. Of course liked it because one of them is my play (Trois Petit Cochon also know as Three little pigs ).

If my favourite part can be out of all the plays it would probably be when the ballerina comes out in Louis La Grenouille.

Also very quickly I would probably be an actor for a week or two!

Yes this is a short blog comment when usually when they are longer but I got bored. :)

  20. The only play i understood was "trois petit cochon (three little pigs)say this, trwa puti cu-shaw" because I was in it i was "le loup( the wolf)say this, lu loo" I was in the third play of trois petit cochon.

I loved the plays although i didn't understand them but they were awesome, really if you were not there then you missed a lot of awesomeness.

My favourite part was when le loup said " petit cochon petit cochon je veux entre je veux entre. So ya that is the questions answered and how I feel about the French plays.

  22. I don't really understand the Gr.5 because it was really wared if it was in really life. Then no one would want to go to the play and animals don't talk EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I loved every thing. My favourite part is the gr.6 play. I think I would be good at acting. I love too act. It would be cool to act.

  23. I am sorry to say that I didn't understand anything. Not one bit! That was kind of annoying. It actually made me consider taking French! What a horrifiyng thought!

I actually did like the plays. If you really think about it, most people wouldn't like to watch a show that they don't understand. But it was actually kind of fun (It's probably cause I'm an actor)!

I think my favorite play was The Three Little Pigs. Probably because it was the one I could understand the most.

  24. I love acting and I get how you are nervous at first. I didn't really understand a lot of
the play. It was amazing how you mesmerized all of your lines.
My favorite play was The Three Little Pigs. Each pig had its own little
musical talent one was guitar listening to music singing
and I loved the line of the big bad wolf.

  25. French is awesome! The best part of the year was those plays they were so fun to do.

I did understand it because I was in it #DA. My favorite part was being the wolf (AKA the loup) because I got the coolest costume.

I loved the plays as you can tell. #French plays awesome :)

  26. The french play's were awesome. I don't know why some people lie about speaking french. To tell you the truth I don't speak french but I understood the play.

My favourite part of the three little pigs was when the wolf said I want to enter.

    1. As a family member of trexjaw, who played the first petite cochon, I enjoyed watching the plays. The only reason I understood any of "Le Trois Petite Cochon" is that I already know the story of "The Three Little Pigs". I'm not sure what happened in the grade 5 and 6 plays because I don't understand French. All the Grade 4s know more French than I do!!

  28. C'est fantastique! I'm so glad that you enjoyed the French plays. It takes courage to go up on stage and perform like that, so bravo to everyone who participated.

Keep up the good work, Forest 14!
